I have needed to visit this hospital a couple times. I had surgery here in 2018. They were excellent. I broke my toe this winter, and again this summer. Both times, great ER staff. My most recent experience was just last week. I ended up in the ER with Covid-19. The staff was attentive, they were helpful, and they were on top of it! My oxygen had dropped to 68% at one point. They got me back right away. They had about 6 nurses in there getting me set up with oxygen, blood draws, IV’s, EKG’s, etc.. this was a true emergency, and they took it seriously. Once the initial threat to my life was over and they had me stabilized, they did end up admitting me for 3 days because my oxygen was so low. The Covid ward was nice, I had my own room. The nurses, doctors and CNA’s were all very kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this hospital for your needs.

Oh my gosh - best hospital ever. It is relatively small and staffed with the most wonderful people. Had surgery and was out the same day. Highly recommend if you need surgery!

I want to personally thank the staff here. My Dad had to spend his Birthday in the ICU here. I have never been around more kind and caring medical staff in one place. This team is the best of the best in quality of care and genuine interest. Thank you all for taken such great care of my father and making him feel as comfortable as possible! Ed Seymour III

For the most part, the nurses and doctors that cared for my wife were friendly and caring. However, the hospital's visitation policy is the most ridiculous I've ever seen and, despite what I'm sure your sycophantic administrative staff will argue, is clearly nothing more than an attempt to limit litigation. The policy is obviously not centered on the care of the patient. While I'm grateful for the care that my wife received, and I appreciate having a hospital in Caldwell, if we're given a choice on where to go in the future, for any reason, any other hospital in the valley would be preferable. Our kids saw their mom taken to the emergency room in horrible pain on a Monday night and didn't get to see her again until the following Saturday afternoon. The administrators who continue to enforce this visitation policy should be ashamed of themselves. As of this review, no one under 16 is allowed to visit anyone in the hospital.

Holy smokes. Can’t convey my gratitude in words for the team my son had from the ER to the surgical center. It’s not fair to everyone involved with Liam’s emergency surgery to focus on tommy the head nurse , but he was unique and incredible. Changed the entire mood when he started singing Hamilton songs w my 8 year old. It was insane. I’ve never seen anything like it. My son also has autism so it was truly incredible. No words. Just a genuine feeling of gratitude. Thanks guys.

I went here based on Google reviews and Facebook friends recommendations. I was super nervous! It was my first time here. I have always went to St. Luke's, but they've went down the tubes! Let me tell you, from the minute I walked through the door, to surgery, and then a room it was the best hospital experience ever!! The staff were incredibly nice all through the hospital. The surgery experience was fabulous! The overnight stay was amazing. The room was good size. If I pressed my call light someone was right there! I honestly cannot say enough good things about West Valley! I know this will be our families hospital to go to from now on!! Way to go West Valley!

My concern with west valley medical center is fraudulent billing. I had cataract surgery last year and and they billed me for two lens into my right eye. Then glossed the item into one. Turned it over to collections. I won't pay for what was not provided. I confirmed the facts with my doctor. I am 83. Trying to beat up d folks.

I was at the ER yesterday, and I am very impressed with the care I received since the minute I walked in. I had technically no wait time. Staff was extremely polite, Dr. Bemis was wonderful! He was very attentive, caring, and professional. Overall, my experience was beyond my expectations and pleasant. If I must in the future, I'll definitely use West Valley Caldwell 💯

I had back surgery at WVMC and although the doctors and medical staff were great, their billing department and check in staff are horrendous. They insisted I needed to fulfill the rest of my out of pocket ($4,200) before surgery. I did, as they presented it as the only way I would be cared for and since I was in excruciating pain I saw no other option. They failed to bill my insurance for almost two months, during which time I had other medical bills being processed through insurance and needing to be paid. West Valley continues to send incomplete information to my insurance which delays the process and now refuses to refund my money until they receive an EOB. They have also stated that it is MY responsibility to request a refund once insurance has processed the claim since they do not automatically send back overpayment. In the mean time I am left to try to cover doctor bills that I don’t have money for because West Valley has it.

The staff here is amazing!! Great teamwork, great knowledge and made my stay comfortable. Thank you West Valley Medical!! The took exceptionally good care of the person I am a caregiver for. Made sure they were explaining what was happening so she felt safe and cared for. MED SURG knocked it out the park.

I really hope this will sit with people for a long time. West Valley in the past has not had the best reputation. I can honestly say.... for the past 10+yrs, I personally have seen them grow exponentially. We made it through covid which was terrible and hard on everyone. Recently, I was in the hospital and every single person from ER-Dr. Dixon, Kenny, Emily. To upstairs in my room, Dr. Holms, Jody, Cara, Giant, Micheal, Lisa, Kirk, Ryan-aka Mr. Hottie! And many more that I didn't get names of. Each and every single one was absolutely amazing! I couldn't have asked for more genuine, caring people. I am so proud to have you all in my Home Hospital. Please know and always remember you are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your outstanding care. .....I feel I need to say so much more. I just don't have the words. I thank you all so very much. I spent 2 days in the ICU here with an ICD placement and the care was just amazing. All the staff were professional and were personable with a great sense of humor. I felt safe and confident that I would leave healthy. I would like to single out the Noc shift nurse but I am horrible with names. She knows who she is. Go get your kudos!

Wow! Only great things to say about our local hospital. 😃 While I do everything I can health-wise to avoid hsving to go to the drs or hospital, when I needed a trip to ER & overnight for monitoring & testing, they made the stay much better than it could've been. From entering ER to leaving hospital, the staff, nurses of every type, drs, cafeteria gal, lab techs, test techs, the gals that call & checked on me after home, etc were so friendly & caring. And treated my hubby so well too! W/my health, all the great staff made it all much easier going thru tough time. I was not treated like a number, but instead as special & cared about. Very impressed! Thx so much for going over & above! Highly recommend. Take care..😊🌷

The ER staff was phenomenal. I didn’t know I could receive such good care in a busy ER. You could tell the staff cared about their patients and that they worked well as a team. Dr Nixon was especially professional. I would definitely trust them to take care of myself or my loved ones.

From the moment I arrived for my surgery, everyone was very pleasant and very reassuring. The whole experience was so comfortable. The short drive from Boise was well worth it!

The nurses at this Hospital are the real heroes. They took care of my wife after her surgery and showed great care and understanding. Never to busy to help or made to feel like we were a bother like some other Hospitals around here. If you want good care West Valley medical center is place!

I had such a great experience from pre op all the way to when I was discharged. Every nurse I had went above and beyond my expectations! I even loved the encouragement I got from other nurses as I walked the hall after surgery. I would highly recommend West Valley to anyone because of the high quality care I received.

I had to take my dad to the ER late at night. We were taken back immediatly and recieved the best care. The staff were inviting, knowlegable, and helpful. Big shout out to Tony and Dr. McAdams, Austin, Heidi, Tasha, Chris, John, and Tamara (sorry if I forgot anyone) you all are amazing!

The staff were amazing. I worked for a hospital for 15 years in pocatello and the treatment I've received is better than the care I received in pocatello! I had no fear going into my procedure and that is the first time that I had no fear or reservations! Staff wasn't just phenomenal with me but my husband was treated just as good and they really went above and beyond! My husband and I would gladly go here for any medical needs!

Every one is great, I've visited Radiology for MRI's. The staff is on point and very respectful and caring and in the billing department. They make sure that they get everything that you need and do it correctly and I really really like everyone.

My father had bladder surgery last week at West Valley at 87 and compared to all his previous surgeries, it was a smooth positive experience from beginning to end. My sister and I were allowed to accompany him part of the way. The procedure was done in a timely fashion. Anesthesia didn’t make him as groggy as other times. Everyone was very helpful and kind. We were very impressed by the quality of service he received. The cafeteria offered a warm tasty breakfast. Thank you so much for making a scary day less scary and demonstrating he was in very capable hands!! 🙏💐

Great. I was the only one in the waiting room at 4:30. A couple minutes early and had to wait 20 minutes. Then about 15 in the exam room. I was relieved to be waiting for a doctor who was familiar with my circumstances and knew we would make a plan that would make me better.

I've never been to west valley. My doctor advised it. I'm so glad I took his advice. Everyone was so kind, informative, quick to respond everytime I pushed the nurse button. I had a surgery done there and if need be in future. I will go to west valley.

I was well taken care of from the time I entered West ValleyMedical Hospital until I left. There was always staff with me to inform me and my procedure went smoothly. I was very impressed with their Ultrasound which they used to locate the vein to use for the IV. They also made my son feel welcome. Thanks to everyone for making my surgery.such a pleasant experience!

The staff is amazing, all happy and busy. Helping each other, when needed to make sure us patients were well taken care of. And I was very well taken care of. Have never been more happy with the medical care I recieved. While at West Valley Medical.

I highly recommend West Valley Medical Center to anyone in need of any type of surgery. Everyone I was with in my morning surgery was amazing. Very comforting and respectful, being my only surgery in my mid-thirties and having 3 kids at home, I was pretty nervous going in. Jason, Angie, Jasmine and everyone in between were so amazing and helpful. Even a few days later when we needed ideas on what to do for a post op issue I was having we could not get a hold of my surgeon or his office we decided to try the medical center's nurse line, and they gave us all the information and what to try or when to get seen if it didn't work. Love that they truly cared enough to continue to help way after the fact, and have seen many places over the years who say they do but fall really sort on the offer or promise. This was so refreshing of an experience, I will always tell friends and strangers of this amazing experience and direct them their way!!! Thank you to all the staff I have mentioned above and those I can't remember names of, you all are making a difference and are wonderful people!!!

Excellent experience here! All staff I encountered were wonderful and caring. Nobody wants to need medical care but my visit was made that much better with the doctors and nurses that took excellent care of me. We sure appreciate everything about West Valley. .

Dr. Box is an amazing surgeon. Every experience I have had with him is full of information and well just simple kindness. He speaks to my husband and I as if he has known us forever. Although my husband has had 6 procedures by him he still comes out and meets with and continues to explain possible complications and risk. He is well educated and well spoken. We trust him and we appreciate how he interacts with us. Thank you Dr. Box.

I had surgery at West Valley Hospital last week. I had amazing care from the time I checked in to the time I left. Everyone treated me with respect and compassion. Everything was clean and well planned for my procedure. The team and staff assigned to me seemed to work well together and everything was explained very carefully with every step.

Just Had another surgery done last Thursday, the staff here are so comforting and great, they made me feel so comfortable and relaxed and right at home, I highly recommend this hospital over any other facility. Dr. Stinger is great! Thank you to everyone who was involved, I didn't even have to wear a mask nor did they make a big deal over it either, just the way it should be....

I must share that I had an amazing experience at West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell. The staff was knowledgeable,understanding and compassionate. They didn't try to hide things from me. They did absolutely everything possible to insure I was comfortable and getting the very best care. You can tell that they value their jobs and enjoy what they do. You can tell that they really truly care about people. Dr. Holmes was absolutely amazing. The nurses and specialists we're exceptional. I will definitely go there again if I need to but I sure hope I don't LOL. I recently had a very different experience at another local hospital and was truly scared I would be held hostage here too. That was not the case.

I had an amazing experience with labor and delivery. They were very nice people. I would definitely recommend and would definitely go back if I were to get pregnant again. The stay in the hospital was great too. Amazing food and care. Great space to recover in. They allow you to recover on your own instead of coming in every hour to check on you and baby. When you call them on the call remote they are there in your room within seconds if you need them in there. They answer all your questions even if it's something that seems to be a dumb question.

Mark did an amazing job. He deserves 5+ Stars. He was attentive, friendly and understanding. He did everything to make sure I was comfortable. I appreciate the fact that he made me feel like he actually cared. He also did a great job on sending all my information to the referral hand doc so I didn’t have to do much when I went to see the referral doc. The nurses were good too. I gave 4 stars because of the wait time after being taken in.
