The staff here are all volunteers and they love their jobs! Our train engineer wore pin striped overalls and an engineer cap. The mini train ride was great for the kids and the adults. The route is worth the wait in line. We went over bridges, through tunnels, up and down hills. There is a model train track too so you can watch the tiny trains go around. There’s a train shaped climbing structure for kids which was fun to climb. There are spots to book for parties and they come with a bbq! The little store has some cool train items like whistles, hats, and a great selection of books. And they make the yummiest popcorn! Love this place! I can’t believe they only charge $3 for a train ride!

Affordable fun for the whole family! Mini train is $3 per person or $20 for 8 tickets. Kids less than 3 are free. The train ride lasts about 15 minutes around the park with a pit stop in the "Vancouver" train station where volunteers talks about their 26 years history. There's a small playground (made from wood into the shape of a train). A small giftshop and bathroom is on site. The gavel parking lot can get full on busy days but you can easily find street parking.

We attended a great Birthday party here! It is not just a great place to ride the trains, but also a great place to have BBQ and have the children play on the jungle gym train. This place is completely run by volunteers and deserves our support for sure.

What a nice place for the whole family! The train ride is pretty cool, there's option of different trains to ride and the ride itself is quite long. We were not disappointed. The little store has different train-related gifts.

Nice place for small picnic and family time with kids. It's amazing to see how much these small trains can pull. Will visit again.

Wonderful experience for the kids and even adults. The ride is super exciting, and all the volunteers make it more interesting by explaining how they laid tracks and what is the difference between this one and the big one. A small snacks and souvenir shop is also a plus. Moreover, you can book the designated space for birthday parties, etc.

Loved the experience. You can buy tickets for a big ride or just go to steam 🚂 for free (donations accepted). Im under impression that people here live what they do

Awesome place and super impressive given that it's run by volunteers. Did a birthday party here and everyone had a great time. They could do even better for themselves by selling some simple foods and drinks to help better fund the place.

Lovely place to go if your kids or even yourself like trains! The rides are fun and informative, everyone there is eager to answer questions. Recommend packing an umbrella if you're planning a picnic lunch but it is absolutely lovely.

We went there this weekend and had an awesome time! My daughter’s attention was hooked from the moment we got there until we left 2 hours later. We loved that the ride was different for each train we tried. We also enjoyed the pit stop to learn about the train we rode on and the volunteer opportunities. My dad is in a paraplegic, is in a wheelchair and only has slight upper body functions. We bought him some ride tix and asked the staff if we’d be able to have my dad get on the train ride as he’s able to support himself to sit up. The staff members were very kind and patient, while my dad got on and off each train. The whole experience was phenomenal and I even grabbed a volunteer sheet on my way out. We can’t wait to go back with the whole family.

Our daughter loved the train! It was far more elaborate then I expected - the ride was about 15 minutes and it even had a couple of little tunnels. The volunteers who built and maintain this park should be proud!

Great place for families. Staff are always very friendly and patient. We never seem to wait long but we also always go at opening. Weather permitting great spot for a picnic.

Jump on a train for a $3 ticket and ride the rails through the Rokies to Vancouver, and back. Steam plus two Diesel Electrics to enjoy. BBQs in place for picnics. Model railroad area as well. My favourite summer activity in Airdrie.

This place is fantastic. We've gone a few times and the train ride is great for children and for 3$ a ticket you just can't go wrong. Staff is great and overall a great place to visit.

A delightful way to spend a day. The staff are wonderful and the train rides are so fun. They have done a marvelous job in the layout of the place. Definitely bring a hat , sunscreen and mosquito spray.
