The dr. Petersen didn't bother to ask my Medicaid for a pre approval for a root canal that got approved when I went to another place including a crown but I had a bridge of 4 teeth and I preferred to have just the root canal done and all crowns I will do them overseas way much cheaper.. Weird place if they don't make lots of money of you they prefer to do extractions ( she " recommend extraction!...no thank you!) cause they know for sure those are covered. They took one million x-rays cause they knew those are covered too and did a cleaning that is covered. Everything is about money very hungry place.

I’ve had horrific experiences with dentists almost my entire life, to the point where I’d have a panic attack and was unable to have any work actually done. If I even had so much as a toothache, I’d panic, terrified of having to go to a dentist. I’m so happy I decided to see Doctor Peterson in Mattituck. I had a filling (badly done by another dentist) come out, and needed in ASAP. My first appointment, I was shaking like a leaf. I was scared to be in pain, be left in the dark about my treatment plan. But I was blown away! The nurse who was doing my x-rays was kind, calming, understanding of my fears, and accepted the plushie I brought with me for comfort with open arms. Doctor Peterson herself was super kind, also accepted my need for an emotional support plushie, understood my intense anxiety, and was so open about everything. What I would feel, what she was doing, and told me to let her know if I felt any pain. I had my second appointment today and I was EXCITED for it, which I’ve never felt before. Doctor Peterson and the rest of the staff are angels!

This dentist office is a 1st class professional doctor's office.The staff all wore masks, made you feel safe, and were all polite. Doctor Bridget Petersen was outstanding, she was kind, explained everything, made you feel comfortable, and most importantly made you feel at ease. Adina the dental hygienist was kind, gentle, explained everything and also made you feel comfortable. Everything was done professionally, without pain and more importantly they took your feelings into consideration. They listened to your questions and explain everything and all your options to you. Five stars is not enough rating for this office!!!

First time in the office today. Originally went in for pain which was address quickly. And they were able to fit me in for a cleaning. Nancy and Dr Petersen were very nice. Explained everything and was gentle. I highly recommend this office.

Very impressed with the Mattituck office. The staff is very helpful. Dr Rogers explained everything that needed to be done in a way I could understand and genuinely cared about the outcome. The insurance manager was very helpful and compassionate about the ridiculous cost of dental work. I would definitely recommend them

Dr Rogers was great. I would recommend her to anyone. Careful and thorough. No problem with pulling out 5 of my teeth.

This place put my mind at ease. I am apprehensive at the dentist, but the team at Smilist is the best with making you feel comfortable. Stephanie the hygienist is the best! Highly recommend going there for your dental health

Unsure what the good doctors problem was today, but I prefer a warm welcoming dentist — especially with being how long I drive to this place. Usually the doctor is more assuring. After having a tooth removed, I was concerned about hurting myself having a gaping hole in my mouth. I also was complaining about having symptoms of gingivitis. She didn’t even look at my mouth, basically just opened it didn’t touch or examine the area at all. Gave me an attitude and dismissed me. I still have my concerns now! Thanks a lot 😉 I will try to do what I can at home until an appointment that I am looking forward to (a different dentist) when my insurance changes this year.

As someone who is terrified of going to the dentist and this, being my first visit to The Smilist, I was a nervous wreck. But, I must say, it was the best dental experience I have had in many years!! Definitely recommend!!
