I have visited 3 times within 6 days. There was still no soap in the washroom. According to my observation, their COVID 19 cleaning is not safition. Commercial gain is more prioritized.

Lovely place to visit and see a small part of Waterloo Region history which began in 1800 with the arrival of a few Mennonite families from Pennsylvania. Playground at Kuntz Park for younger children, Walter Bean Grand River Trail and a remarkable view of the Grand River for everyone. 300 Lookout Lane, Kitchener, Ontario N2P 2X8.πŸ‘πŸ»

Great place to burn energy. This is one of the few places covid has made it better. Now with limited #s you can actually move around in here, and the music is no longer deafening. I really hope after covid they reconsider keeping a limit, it's much more enjoyable

A great time with family or friends! With programs from "toddler time", dance parties, and ninja warrior courses -- there's most definitely something for everyone! Good exercise too. Had an awesome time visiting and can't wait to try out some of the new features soon. Thanks Sky Zone team!

It is a great part of local history. There is a nice trail to go for a walk. The direction we took is not good for strollers as the terrain becomes rough.

Beautiful piece of Kitchener history! Wish it was open to the public, though understandable as to why no one is allowed to climb it (dangerous heights, and vandalism). If you visit in the fall months, make sure you venture over behind the cemetary and check out the splendid views overlooking the Grand river. If you venture down the trail, make sure you check out the awesome metal walking bridge over the river.

Beautiful little tower located in the Deer Ridge neighborhood, beside the Walter Bean Trail. The massive houses that have been built right beside the tower take away from the ambiance. The tower was built in 1926 to commemorate the arrival of the Pennsylvania Dutch to Southern Ontario. The tower is built on a site once cleared by the first pioneers who settled the area. It stands on a ridge overlooking the Grand River. The tower is constructed of rounded fieldstone, which have been collected from the surrounding land. It tapers to a height of 18.9m (62ft), has a copper roof and is topped by a weather vane shaped as a Conestoga wagon.

Was a great time although at the end we wanted to buy dippin dots. Staff turned us away because we drank out of the water fountain and decided we weren't allowed to buy anything because of it? We just wanted dippin dots. The staff are very unfriendly and act like they don't want to be there..

Absolutely love this place. We have seasons passes and it is more Ethan worth it. Great for adults and children. Very friendly workers who actually seem to care and the food is actually pretty good as well. Absolutely fantastic for birthday parties. They are on top of everything and have everything you need there.

Fun and engaging, but limited things to do. Many people don't abide by the warnings and caution signs describing the rules, but what can you do? While masks aren't mandatory, social distancing is possible and they are constantly sanitizing surfaces and have sensitization stations open. Lots of fun, and definitely worth it!

A monument to remember first amish people who arrived in this area and a small cemetery. A well deserved building in middle of a park land with a beautiful scenery to grand river valley. Nice place for walking and enjoying nature. The problem is this building is hidden from direct view from distance. It is surrounded by residential buildings. But it is nice to see something about early pioneers of Waterloo and surrounding area. More historical facts and information about first settlers including natives will attracts more people.

The tower looks even cooler in person than it does in photos. For anyone who loves history and especially local history, this is a great stop. There’s a small parking lot right by the tower, but also close enough to residential areas if you can’t find space there. The area around the tower is a really nice trail and just about a 10-15 minute walk away you can get to the Pioneer Bridge for a great view of the Grand River and nice place for photos.

  • 5/5 Mike J. 1 year ago on Google
A neat old tower overlooking the Grand River. Quite scenic and on nice trails. There is a n old cemetery off to the dide too which seems to add to the place.

  • 3/5 Sean G. 1 year ago on Google
It is a tower, cool but only open occasionally. There is fishing and rapids down on the river also. Built in the 1930s to celebrate the pioneer entering the area 100 years before, when they purchased the land from the Mohawks that were granted it after losing land in the US Revolutionary war.

Beautiful park and open space for family photography sessions with a great playground as well to entertain young children. Would love to do a Princess or prince session in front of the β€œprincess” tower!

If you are looking for trails and hikes good place to visit. The tower though is the only picturesque spot apart from greenary around. Adjacent to the tower is a long hiking trial. There is nothing else apart from the tower if you don't want to hike. Has a small play area for kids. Overall we just clicked a few pics here and drove off.

  • 4/5 Prashant B. 3 years ago on Google
Beautiful scenery. View of the tower is nice to capture few clicks. Saw people riding bikes and walking on the trail.Thw spot is overlooking the grand river. The parking was mentioned as private parking so was little worried if I could park there though there is ample parking available. The houses nearby are very beautiful and the area is very calm and nature friendly. Lovwd the short visit to this place.

Staff could be more observant over the teenagers and the place needs more staff cleaning. I have slipped on one of many sock plastic bags laying around. Over all it's a fun place.

2023 September 4β˜… A historic look out tower erected in 1925. As the sign reads: WATERLOO PIONEERS In the year 1800 a small number of Mennonite families arrived from Pennsylvania to settle Block 2, former Six Nations land along the Grand River Mennonites, followed during the next three years until problems regarding ownership of the land curtailed the migration. Representatives were sent back to Pennsylvania to raise the money necessary to secure clear title to the land, with the result that a joint stock company was formed and 60,000 acres purchased. Pennsylvania Dutch settlers quickly took up this land, creating the first sizeable inland settlement in Upper Canada. Located beside Kuntz Park and parking available. Not opened to the public typically. Special events such as Doors Open allow access. Staffed by Parks Canada.

Cool tower but you can't climb it and there's not much there to see. Don't make a special trip to see it, but if your looking for a hike along the adjoining trails, it makes a nice point of interest.

I remember visiting this site as a child and wondering its significance. Apparently my family was one of the pioneers commemorated for settling in the general area. Visited again a couple of years ago to see what was once a rural setting is now a suburban parkland with a children's playground adjacent and part of a trailway in Kitchener. Parking available and site is barrier free for people with mobility challenges but there's some gravel to overcome on your way to the tower. A nice place as a tribute to some of the area's founding members. Limited parking, free to all.

Looks pretty much the same as when I was a kid, thirty+ years ago. I remember thinking my parents were annoying me for wanting to climb the stairs to the top. Now I wish you still could, but nope, locked door.

  • 5/5 Erik T. 4 years ago on Google
Nice tower, unfortunately some graffiti on it, and a family decided to walk around the small cemetery and poke everything in the chained off area

A favourite haunt from my childhood and still interesting to visit. You can't climb inside now still a well kept monument to Canada's past.

It’s a great lil trampoline park, only complaint is the bouncing squares are too small, I found myself trying hard to not land on the border when first learning a backflip, did cause an ankle injury. Front flip, similar story but I just flipped over the border instead. I’ve corrected my technique so it’s not as much of a worry now but besides that, great place. Not a huge fan of the locker system at all, several are broken and will steal my dollar. Shouldn’t have to be a paid locker like that, very easy to lose the key as well, should be able to bring my own lock. More staff should be at front desk, I find myself always waiting for someone to come by. Trampolines are great quality though. Free water is also nice when the staff does show up. :)

Recently we hosted a birthday party here that couldn't have gone better. Organizing engaging activities for 10 kids with varying interests and ages is nothing short of impossible, so I leave it to the pros. Everyone was happy with the variety of activities from rock climbing, slam dunking, dodgeball, the obstacle course, and general bouncing. Everything was precisely on time from our start time to the delivery of our delicious pizza. Thank you! Money well spent for a hassle free party and 10 happy kids!

My toddler loves this place. Rates are good no complaints.. Only reason I give 4’stars is because the new lockers they got!! Hard to keep the locker door open without getting locked out!! More if you visit alone with your kids. Just need extra hands to hold the door and look after your kids

Skyzone is one of the best places to go and have fun. Dogeball and ninja warrior are amazing, but my favorite thing is just the free jump. You can practice tricks and just have fun with tons of friends.

This place is apparently haunted at night!! I love the chilling factor to old historical sites and its absolutly a sight to see. If you in for a spook, check it out at night and see if theres anyone or anything watching you. I never saw anything but i definitaly felt like i was being watched. In the day time theres not much of a creepy feel though, its just beautiful
