my impression is that this is one of three thai places that have decent thai food in cam -- alongside baan thai and salathong-- but I had a worse experience here. it has a reputation of being a go-to place for thai students. I had the garlic fried king prawns and tom yum soup, which weren't too impressive but were ok. the prawns weren't very flavourful or fresh, and the soup was too sweet and not spicy

Cozy atmosphere and excellent Thai cuisine. The staff is professional, friendly and flexible with customers: we asked for extra ginger and they brought us even this was not on the menu; they cut the ginger in small pieces and it complemented the other food perfectly. Thank you 🙏

Amazing food, excellent menu selection of old favorites and chefs specials. Great service, friendly knowledgable staff. Seating inside and out so good choice.

The food was nice - I had the Pad Thai with prawns. I also ordered a Virgin Mojito which was quite bitter so I wouldn't order it again.

Good food at The Cricketers. Really enjoyed the outside space. Good relaxing vibe, nice and bustling atmosphere. Food was good. Love the papaya salad. Tofu stir fry was good. Recommended

Yummy Authentic Thai Dishes 😇 I have visit Luk Thai at The Cricketers many times. But I only have an opportunity to give an honest review today. Generally speaking, I love the fact that they offer a wide variety of authentic Thai food in a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. I admire their friendly staff with great Thai hospitality… Always feel like visiting Thailand when I come to this restaurant. Overall, the menu are yummy. I recommend Laab Moo , Tom Yum, Fish Cakes and Pad Kra Pao etc. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ordered 4 different dishes, with Tom Yum soup and Som Tam being the very typical Thai dishes - but they came out to be very average. Would give the food 3.5 out of 5, but the quick and attentive service really makes up for our experience so I would give a 4 star overall.

Friendly service. The food was quite disappointing, though. I ordered salt and pepper squid as an entrée, and it was ok. Then a noodle and duck main that was supposed to be spicy but wasn't at all. The noodles were clearly store-bought and so was the sauce on the duck, which you don't expect when you pay £20+ for a dish at lunch. It's basically the quality you get from food trucks at festivals, i.e. acceptable as long as you don't pay more than £10 for your meal.

Lovely food here. I had the chicken stir fry sweet and sour and it was so good. Beautiful flavours in the sweet and sour and good portion size. The people I was with had the vegetarian set meal for 2 and there was more than enough food so well worth doing.

Gorgeous Thai food with very friendly staff. The outdoor area is great if the weather is nice. Would highly recommend.

I ordered via Deliveroo, and was not disappointed! Portion sizes were extremely large for the price, everything was hot and tasted fresh, and it was one of the best panang curries I’ve ever had! Great for vegetarians, as almost every single dish on the menu has an option to be made with either just vegetables, or vegetables and tofu instead of meat. Highly recommend if you’re ever in Cambridge and have a craving for Thai food!

It’s not a pub, not what you’d expect from one anyways, and it’s not what you want a Thai restaurant to look like either. Food was not great either I have to say, there is plenty better options in and around Cambridge…the staff was accommodating and friendly, but I think they have had enough poor experiences with a certain clientele that there is little love left for their guests.

Really not as good as its reputation. Overpriced and lazy cooking I've been going on and off for years but prices rising and quality falling. Much of the food especially starters are frozen/bought in and served with sauce from a bottle. Some carved carrots can't disguise the fact that you're eating food largely lacking in fresh cooking or herbs.

Had my 30th birthday meal here - super organised and timely service, food was complimented by all (delicious and generous portions) and the service was really friendly. We also really appreciated the extra decorations they provided for us which were a total surprise and a lovely extra touch!

Nice place, food and quality coherent with the price

We like this restaurant but had a delivery from them and not great. Forgot our daughters food so we had to order again, and our food was less than average. We have had delivery from them before which wasn’t good but thought we would try again which was an expensive mistake- the food just doesn’t work by delivery, it feels rushed out and just nowhere near as nice as when eating in the restaurant. Won’t make the mistake again.

I ordered padthai with pork, the pork was raw and didn't taste good, and I think the price was so high for that quality.

Hidden away in the back of a pub, Luk Thai serves tasty food and many classic Thai dishes. On sunny days, I highly recommend eating in the hidden garden patio outside. The atmosphere is relaxing and unique – and somehow very Cambridge.

Have dined here many times but will not visit again. The food has gone downhill especially the stir fry dishes. The egg fried rice is just normal rice with a shot of soy sauce, couldn’t find any egg. The food we ordered came in a haphazard manner, no sense to it and wrong rice brought to the table. To top it all for a party of 3 we were charged a 10% service charge this is not mentioned on the menu. Thai on Regent Street much better quality of food. Avoid

Popped in for some lunch and were greeted with a warm welcome from a great host and enjoyed a lovely Thai curry the "drunken noodles". We enjoyed our food in the quiet, cosy back garden and overall had a very nice experience. Would recommend and come again.

Delicious food served by people who genuinely care. We love coming here and often order takeaway. Today, we ordered through Deliveroo and one of the items was slightly wrong (that’s okay— mistakes happen!). I called the restaurant and the person I spoke to was very apologetic, and personally delivered the correct item within minutes, along with a freebie. Excellent service!

I’ve eaten here several times, and had a number of takeaways, usually very good. This evening was a disaster, rice cold and crusty, food Luke warm and a dish with pork instead of chicken. To add insult to injury both main course dishes were barely half a container.

We ordered takeaway tonight and the food was very disappointing! The ribs had no meat on it and very dry ! We found very little noodles in one of dishes we ordered! Not great value for what we paid!
