Like being in a different town, Bill's restaurant will transport you out of the heat into a relaxing atmosphere coupled with delicious food. Kids eat free during certain hours which is a plus. The service was rather slow which is why I am rating them 4 but it is however a really nice place

A nice place to go for a bite to eat. I came alone on a Friday at 4:30pm- 15 minutes before my reservation and they were happy to seat me early. It wasn’t too busy and service was pleasant and quick. I ordered the Lobster and seafood linguine which was nice but nothing special. My visit was quick and easy and I had finished in about 40-45 minutes

The food here is quite strong. So far in my experience, Cambridge's burger scene has been quite awful. However, the chicken sandwich at Bill's is an oasis in the desert. Each bite of this delectable burger was a harmonious tale of succulent fried chicken, creamy chipotle mayo covered slaw and a nicely toasted bun; I was also deeply impressed at the structural integrity of the sandwich, a true testament to civil food engineering. The eggs royale was also quite good, but the composition was not at the level of the chicken sandwich; the smoked salmon and English muffin could be improved to better support the excellent poached egg. Service overall was decent, and the ambience and decor of the place was very nice for the most part. However, we were seated next to this really gross window blinds which had decaying wood and was covered in dust. Please clean this up. The only other minor complaint was there was a small unidentified floating object in my water. Overall, a p-solid A-tier institution of British dining.

There is something about this eatery that lifts your mood, and transports you to a different place. Great atmosphere, nice food and lovely staff. Slightly expensive but you leave with a happy tummy! Delicious English breakfast . I just didn’t like standing on the doorway for more than 5 minutes alone,and place was not crowded at all at that time. Everyone saw me there. I was only one person and felt unimportant. But nevertheless my rating is high , all other was ok.

The brunch was good. The venue was nice. Service was OK. Coffee was a massive letdown, though. Modest sized latte and both the latte and cappuccino were luke warm. Coffee is an important component for a breakfast outing, so a major let down to an otherwise good breakfast. Will try elsewhere next time.

Decent restaurant and decent food. Can't actually complain about anything, as it was quite good, not amazing, but good. Good atmosphere and good service. It was not my usual place to go, but i enjoyed it and would recommend it, but the menu could do with a few more choices as it looks very limited and not a lot to choose from.

We often come here for brunch to celebrate occasions and this time was for my birthday. We had made a reservation via the website for the same day, but in reality we didn't need to as it was a weekday morning - highly recommend booking a table for Sunday brunch though. The service is nice and polite and the prices are generally around £15-£20 per person for a meal and the drinks vary from £4-£12 dependent on if it's a soft drink or a cocktail.

I went out with friends on Friday before Christmas and had a lovely meal off the main menu. The cocktails were lovely and the atmosphere was good. Unfortunately one of the tables near us was cleared and reset without being cleaned. Customers were shown to the table but requested to go to a different one as it was by the door. Especially how strict we should be about covid, I was shocked to see this table not being cleaned properly 😬 hopefully just an isolated incident.

We did the bottomless brunch, with the options of bottomless cocktails from the brunch menu, or bottomless prosecco for 90 mins. This was great although bare in mind when you do the cocktail one you have to wait to find a server and prosecco was by the bottle. We had the classic burger with the choice of medium or well done and others had the chicken burger which they all said was quite possibly the best they have had. We shared the profiteroles which where amazing. The restaurant was absolutely packed and it was so lovely that people where able to bring their dogs in, as we as all dog lovers and got the chance to say hello to them. Our server was lovely and she said it was her first day. Toilets upstairs, not too bad.

Went for brunch, great food selection for that time of day! Service was good, pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed… kids had the mini full English and pancakes which they both enjoyed. Ordered a second portion of pancakes as was not enough to fill them up. Looking forward to going back again, next time trying the poached eggs as they looked amazing.

Every time we go it's always fantastic. A great atmosphere, very happy and helpful staff, food and drinks are always fresh and get to our table quickly, we never feel rushed to eat and leave, and it's my favourite brunch restaurant! Plus the poached eggs are to die for! 😍

Busy place, not much dishes on menu, Strawberry margarita £ 9.90😁 should be in different shape of glass +🍸+ taste was like juice, didn't fill strawberry or Alcohol. £14 my order -was OK- can eat 😁. Picture on the wall full of dust.. Staff dress up how they want, I couldn't recognise who working there and who just visiting 😁. I will never go again for lunch.

The food was good but nothing we ordered was that filling. The staff was also not super attentive and it was quite hard to get the server’s attention. The venue is really nice though.

My first visit to Bill's and I liked it. We went for my mum's pre-birthday brunch and it didn't disappoint. Service was great, although we did have quite a few people asking us if everything was ok, within minutes of the previous one asking but attention was solely on their customers, so can't really complain. Food was delicious, with lots of options. My only niggle was there was a dog with the people sitting on the table behind us and it kept barking. I didn't realise dogs were allowed, but it wasn't a major issue until it barked.

I’m glad I read through reviews before I went. Like another had said, the pancakes were very dry (I brought my own syrup/ Nutella/ whip cream to add to them). The service was good and timely, but I wished the food were piping hot when they served it as opposed to just warm. The bacon I liked, the eggs royale (eggs Benedict with salmon) was alright, I brought my own tobasco sauce to flavor them more spicy. The bills big brunch was also, alright, but for the price it could have been more filling. I also wish their was a spoon on the table and not just a fork and knife. The lemonade was good.

Great gluten free options and dog friendly. Had a really good offer when we went where kids eat free. Although they "forgot" to take off bill so always double check before paying (which I thankfully did) hence one star off for service.

Really good 3 course meal,staff really nice,we nipped in on a recommendation from one of the shops in Cambridge,really pleased we did,a nice place to celebrate 19 years of marriage, every thing was just perfect

The food is great and I could order and receive the food in a great time! The prices are in the medium level although. The bathroom is upstairs and clean. The staff is great too!

Had a Saturday lunch as a party of 6 adults, 2 children and an infant. Service was brilliant, attentive and courteous. Food was delicious and looked brilliant, particularly the festive burger!

I WISH I COULD RATE IT HIGHER!!! absolutely insane!!! the aesthetics were stunning, and service from Louis was impeccable, friendly, polite and more than accommodating. GIVE THIS MAN A PAYRISW!! THE FOOD… was amazing as always!! the char grilled chicken was lovely, and we could of had endless pots of the calamari dip. THE DONUTS ALWAYS SLAP😜😜 i will continue to return, as soon as possible!!!

Celebrated my friend’s birthday at Bill’s this morning and we ordered breakfast and coffee. Food was very good and service is excellent ! The waitress (her name should be Harriet as shown on the bill) greeted us with a beautiful smile and serviced us professionally. After the food, she brought to my friend a surprise - a birthday dessert with a sparkling candle that I pre-ordered when I made the booking online. My friend was surprised and happy and we had a wonderful time today. Thank you so much again Harriet ! For sure we will come back to Bill’s again :)

Oh my, last visit many years ago. This time did not disappoint. Love a bench seat, find them most comfortable (tick); service spot on excellent by the lovely Harriet !! All staff very attentive, smiling, fast. My partner and I had lovely fish pies with side order spicy beets. The side order hot beetroot, feta cheese, bean shoots, few seeds I think, totally yummy, needed to order this part twice so tasty. The fish pie, loads fish and large meaty prawns, mash covered with melted cheese. Peas in the beautiful white sauce. Piece of fresh lemon. Amazing. We had coffees. And water for the table. Highly recomended. Cant wait to revisit xxx Thank you

Very lovely from the outside. However, the tea pots and water bottles were dirty and the staff very rude towards us, would not recommend this place at all.

There were 7 in our party and all of us had good food that was served hot and without complaint. The serving staff were particularly pleasant, friendly and switched on.

Attended Saturday lunchtime for a meal as part of a girlie day out with my mum, sister-in-law to be and daughters for my birthday. Food was excellent, waiting staff were attentive and happy to make changes to dishes for us. We had quite a wait for our mains due to a ticket mistake but they rectified it quickly without trying to lie or cover up and gave us a free round of drinks. Atmosphere was brilliant and we left feeling full, happy and definitely willing to go back

The food was good, not great. Gluten free options for my son were limited. Had it not been for the kids eat free promotion it would have been very expensive for what you get, £3.50 for a regular 330ml can of coke zero! Staff try their best but they're under staffed so everything took longer than you'd hope. The 12.5% automatically added service charge (considering the delays, staff attitude etc) seems a bit assumed. Service wasn't bad, just not sure it deemed 12.5%.

Cool looking restaurant with lots of choice. Some of the orders in our party were great, but the poached eggs were more like hard boiled. The interior is quirky and cool but smelled a bit like old meals which was a bit off-putting

Have been here for both brunch and dinner. Food is quite good and solid options, especially when compared to other restaurant options in Cambridge. However, it is a bit expensive for what it is and it took over 3 hours to get our meals despite all of us having pre-ordered from a prix fixe menu. Also, we had a less than ideal experience when a large group of women (60+) brought an incredible amount of business to this restaurant, and the waitress refused to take our group photograph before every single one of us had settled our bill. I assure you none of us were planning to run out, we were just managing a very large group. As a result, the entire group was standing there for 15 minutes or so before using a phone timer to take the photo. Ridiculous.
