Such a great and historic place to walk around! The oldest part of the university and it has some of the early buildings of the university. This university is the oldest in the USA, and was founded in 1636 by missionaries including John Harvard. The university was named Harvard after the death of John Harvard. The park is very well kept and beautiful.

It is a pleasure to walk through the campus of one of America's leading universities and learn some of its history. I wish I was smart enough to have been able to study there.

This is a nice park. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This park is located in the center of Harvard and surrounded by old brick buildings, some of which date back to the founding of Harvard. This park has plenty of trees and orates an aura of academic achievement. I gave this park five stars because it has some beautiful buildings and because it’s a sensational feeling to casually walk through one of the world’s best, most accomplished universities.

Very pretty place to come and see. Also very historic. People were fairly nice but employees at every surrounding store were pretentious snobs that didn't have time to deal with us lower life forms. Worth a stop, especially to put your hand on the lucky shoe. Just bring some sanitizer Oh and take the short walk over to la burdick for some hot chocolate. It's not like any other hot or iced hot chocolate you've ever had

Seneca's words "Res severa verum gaudium." -True joy is a serious thing- is truly appropriate for this place.

Walking the Harvard Yard with it's historical significance, one can only be in awe. I wish more buildings had detail signs for visitors to learn their historical significance. The picture of the public restroom is just outside the main gate.

Such a STUNNING & HISTORIC spot to walk around. Was shopping at Harvard Square & walked on over to see the buildings. Very peaceful & quiet. Stunning buildings, trees & landscaped beauty at a historic University.

A very easy place to visit, we used the underground train from Boston common. The grounds and buildings are breath taking to view and soak up the vibe of the history, we was lucky anough to attend on a day that was hosting a street carnival, food stands and live bands as well as other entertainers performing street art. I would recommend if in the area or have free time then it is well worth a visit.

Harvard campus should be on your Boston tourist map. Beautiful campus with plenty of noteworthy history. And some good coffee shops and restaurants too.

Great place to visit! Beautiful campus and got lots of tours of the campus when my little brother was a student here. A must-see even if you're not a student both for the history and for Harvard being one of the top Ivy League colleges.

the huge territory of the university with more than a century of history. How much has this university seen? How many of the strongest graduates he has produced, realizing that this place becomes a very strong point of attraction

So great to just walk around and it’s really beautiful in the winter time. I love looking at the snow and the students look really happy to be there playing the snow like the kids. It’s just a fun time in looking at the architecture is really great and there’s a safe comfortable collegial atmosphere in the area.

You don't have to be a student to enjoy and appreciate this beautiful urban campus, full of historic colonial and federal buildings. It's particularly beautiful covered in a blanket of snow, or in the spring when the canopy of trees is showing its full display of bright green. Building entry is generally restricted, but you can enter the Memorial Church when it's open.

It’s a beautiful campus and worth visiting if you are in the area. It’s almost like a park and it’s open to the public up until late

The intersting and not so intersting stuff amongst students notwithstanding, it's a place worth visiting. Though had read about the 'dangers' of holding on to Mr Harvard's shoes(!,) I still did it!! The vast areas and well spaced buildings are by itself awe inspiring. Seat of learning! It must be.

For a great impression, consider arriving in the morning, as the scenery at night can be a bit lackluster. While it may not be as organized as MIT, I'd lean towards their medical or business school campus instead of this undergrad location. Nevertheless, it's challenging to put into words the unique old New England feeling it evokes :D

Most historical place to visit. Beautiful atmosphere.

Plenty of shades, but not many benches to sit. Although Harvard is the oldest university, I don’t think it’s the prettiest. Buildings have nice unique architecture- however the complex doesn’t feel like a campus where student can hang out outside. All the closed gates just emphasize how private and exclusive the university is.

What a fantastic, atmospheric location. On the cold Sunday morning, only tourists wandered around. Good views, gentle walks

Interesting place to visit because there is the lucky Harvard statue, and it is said that if you touch his feet, you will get part of his wisdom! It doesn't hurt to try and is a very iconic location, and many events take place here, especially for the alumni community . It is visited by a lot of tourists every day. You can visit it in a few minutes with family and friends just 5 minutes walk from Harvard red line main station.

Very different than other universities, you really get a sense of the history and prestige of the pinnacle of American education here. Buildings seem ancient but well kept, and the yards very tidy and nice. Came for graduation and man the crowd was insane, not only was it so incredibly packed but there were many people dressed in top hats and old British headgear, it was quite the experience!

It was a beautiful thing to come to Boston for the first time, and be in the vicinity of such renowned schools as MIT and Harvard University. It was not planned to visit but how can you come into Cambridge or Boston for that matter without feeling it’s grass and meeting it’s students. I don’t know much of John Harvards legacy but in the entire hour that I stayed along campus, there lacked a time where someone wasn’t getting a photo with his memorial statue. I would have liked to see a bit more inclusion and diversity but nevertheless it was a short lived experienced that I could not possibly have had time to experience in its entirety.

A special place. Besides the symbolism of being the beating heart of Harvard that attracts dozens of tourists everyday, it can also be a place to relax, to enjoy the green space, to chat with a friend, or simply to go for a walk. A must.

So the area is very interesting to go around, have a walk and explore the college buildings, but there is a "BUT". I visited the place in January. If you are not used to cold weather, be sure to visit the place in spring or summer, I guess it also looks amazing during those seasons. During winter it is nice to go have a warm tea or coffee in the cozy coffee places around the college.
