This restaurant is absolutely amazing! We hadn't booked on a Saturday evening but they were still able to accommodate us. Our food arrived quickly and the service was great. We ordered the falafel and hummus, the moussaka and a chicken burger. The food was delicious and the portions were a great size. The staff were so friendly and as we were leaving, they gave us a free box of baklava which was really kind! Thank you so much!

The food was EXCELLENT, the portions very generous and the prices very good for what we ordered. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is nothing special and the place felt quite hot, but you'll literally forget all of that once that amazing food comes to your table. We had no room for dessert, but we did try the baklava bites, amazing. The staff were very kind as well! Will definitely visit again soon!

In a word: a feast. Everything I had was utterly delicious. Amazing Hummus, the Fatteh was just perfect and very, very generously portioned, and the sweet treats were great. The staff was very helpful and kind. If you dine in expect a constant stream of delivery people (and who can blame Cambridge for ordering such delicious food en masse) so consider a seat away from the door if that bothers you.

Wow! The food is very good. Massive portions and the mixed grill were brilliant - the meat very tender. Staff friendly and kind. You won't need to order much as you get a lot for your money. 2 courses and 2 soft drinks for £21 each! Go check them out, you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely lovely. The cold Meze shared between two is perfect but don't fill up on the very generous portion of flat bread that comes with it. The mains are not huge but after a Meze are just the right size. We both had stews which were perfect for a chilly day in Cambridge. We didn't bother with dessert but the free baklava at the end of the meal were just right. Loved it there.

We went there the other day and we really enjoyed it. The portions were good size and very well priced. The food and the atmosphere were really nice. Friendly staff and happy to help. In general very good value for money and definitely recommend this place.

Phenomenal food with a wide ranging menu with dishes that are not easily found anywhere else nearby yet cooked to perfection! Portions are brilliant and presentation of food is wonderful with lots of pickles, salad and sauces which really go very well with these dishes. The mix grill is a must try, all meat is juicy and flavoursome! The bedouin tea is also very moreish. The resaurant interior is really nicely done with some fantastic artwork on the walls. Overall a great experience and highly recommended. A very busy place even on weekday evening so requires a bit of patience with the service.

I had high expectations based on reviews, but our experience with the lamb shank fell short. The dish had a strong meat smell, which was disappointing. Adding some spices could have improved it. Not only did the lamb shank disappoint with its strong meat smell, but the restaurant itself was smelly. The overall atmosphere was unpleasant, and it felt like the food odors clung to us. Hoping for improvements in both the culinary and environmental aspects.

This place is a true gem. 100% my favourite place right now. The food is colourful, beautiful and tasty. The meze is lovely. The falafels are the most beautiful texture. The schwarma very good. I could quite happily slowly work my way through the whole menu. They also have beautiful deserts and baklava. Looking forward to my next visit.

During my short visit to Cambridge, I was searching online for a halal restaurant when I found the great reviews about this beautiful family business. However, what I experienced was even better. I was taken by the authentic atmosphere and music, the food was extremely delicious and the owners were very friendly. Also, the hygiene level was very high which is important for me. I will definitely come again when I revisit Cambridge and recommend it to friends.

Delicious entrées.... all the way!!! Ordered hummus and baba ganouje - both came fresh with some delicious petas. For major entrées, we ordered rice and chicken, yogurt chicken with nuts and crackers. Food was fresh and delicious. Also tried their baklava which was also great - restaurant owner didn't charge us for the sweets - extra nice of him. The service is also top notch. Worth your time and money.

Super delicious food! Staff were super friendly. I got the mix schwarma which was fantastic. The portions are massive and you get chips and bread with it so I was stuffed and couldn't finish the whole thing. Would definitely come back again

So pleased for the family of Little Petra and their success! They absolutely deserve all the business they are getting. The food is absolutely amazing...from the meze starters to the varied main courses; all well priced for the location, and everything is beautifully seasoned. Portion sizes are very large so don't overdo it on the starters. I didn't get a chance to try their desserts but I will be back again, so no worries. The only downside was the service wasn't AS attentive as you'd like (we were sat for half an hour before drinks were offered) but this is absolutely understandable and forgivable with how very busy they were and how pleasant the staff are. I am sure this will improve when they're properly in the swing of having a bigger place. 100% recommend! I'll be back again!

The portion sizes are very generous and the waiters and waitresses were caring and made sure everything was perfect. The food itself was delicious and tender, however it took a very long time to come even though we were the only ones in the restaurant!

What an incredible experience eating Fatteh here! The flavours were amazing, absolutely loved it! The service was great as well. They kindly brought us some desserts on the house in the end. I highly recommend this place!

Completely ignored while waiting to be seated and then they took the party behind us to their table first! Ordered chilli hummus as a sharing starter, got given paprika hummus (which was very nice but not what we had requested) Partners main was literally half cold (microwaved) and when a fresh dish was served, the rice was hard from sitting too long under the heat lamp… I ordered a king prawn main and thought it might be shell on, but they were fairly small and probably came out of a packet in the freezer and were overcooked. One star for the tasty, but incorrect, starter and the other for the lovely waitress who served us. All in all, completely underwhelmed and we most certainly won’t be returning

I was looking forward to the food at Little Petra, presentation is great and service is fast and friendly, restaurant has nice ambience. However, the food lacked flavour. I expected seasoning and some spice, in the end, I had to walk up to the counter and ask for salt.

Amazing food in a nice, informal setting with friendly service. The restaurant has a relaxed, informal vibe to it. Would be great for smaller groups. The menu is great, not too big but with great choice. The food is amazing. Extremely big portions and flavour was fantastic. Really excellent food. A tad expensive but for the portion size and quality of food it’s very worth it. Would highly recommend it.

Always enjoy coming here. Have been here a couple of times and the food never disappoints and always looks gorgeous. I always go for the liver which i can definitely recommend. This time we also tried the sausages and the chicken gravy. Both were delicious and had good sized portions. Do book in advance because this place isn't very big and gets full quite quickly. One day I will leave enough place to actually try the desserts!

It was beyond expectation! It was impressive how many different hummus dishes, both cold and hot, they offer. We had hot hummus with chicken and lamb. It was a perfect combination of nutty, milky, and meaty flavours. The lamb main had a velvety and tender texture, with a full exotic taste.

Lovely dinner! There were no reservations left as we left it last minute but after hearing lots of good recommendations, I was keen to try it whilst in Cambridge for the day. They were happy to take a walk in which i was delighted about. The food was fantastic and huge portions. We chose to share two main meals between us and it was far too much for us but we took the rest home with us. Lovely attentive staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Good quality and quantity of the food! I like the nuts and seeds they used in their dishes - making the food more aromatic and interesting to look at, smell, and taste. Haven’t got the chance to try dessert, but they looked nice and authentic.

We didn’t have any booking and restaurant was fully booked luckily we went early in the evening and they accommodate us asking if we can finish in 70 minutes and we were ok with that. We had mix grill platter which came with rice, salad and completely bread. Everything tasted great unfortunately it wasn’t very hot because we were tight on time we didn’t say anything and ate it. When we mentioned while leaving they gave us some Middle Eastern sweets which was nice. Our overall experience was good.

Friendly staff, lots of options (vegan aswell!) . The hummus and falafel were incredible! (i’d recommend getting the plain one because the garlic one didn’t really taste like garlic) . The fatteh was amazing, really nutty, the falafel burger was nice bit the fries were soggy. Overall this place is really really good, the portions are very generous and we’d definitely come back!

I am in love with this place. Teleport me to Jordan 🇯🇴 I really enjoyed my time at Little Petra. I have been here twice now. The first time I was introduced to this friend from my closed friend, David. We had some light snacks, tea and dessert here. Our favourite was Baba Ghanoujj Moussaka, Hummus and Falafel and Baklava for dessert. These dishes were super delicious!!!! The second time I was there I tried lambs and okras with rice!!! It was yummy!! The portion was generous as well. They also do takeout. The shop is clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for those who want to try modern Middle Eastern food on Mill Road 😇

I recently dined at a Jordanian restaurant where the flavors were quite mild for my unfamiliar palate with Jordanian cuisine. The hot mese that came with both hummus and lamb was particularly delicious. The waitstaff were incredibly friendly. It seems like a good place to try traditional Jordanian dishes, although I can't vouch for how authentic they truly are.

Incredible local gem serving halal middle eastern food. The portion sizes are extremely generous and presentation was beautiful. Everything from the starters, to mains, to dessert was delicious. Would wholeheartedly recommend this place for customers wanting a taste of the middle east.

Very generous portion, bread quantity was a lot! The mango milk shake was only £5 and super delicious. The staff was good but needs a bit more finesse that is why 4 star though want to give 4.5 but that is not an option.

Big portions, delicious dishes, elegant presentation and a very welcoming staff and owner. Don’t miss the beautiful wall paintings of Petra and the bedouin desert vibes. Very recommended, we will definitely come back!

Excellent food served here! The place filled up quickly so reservations are a must! Good atmosphere. Staff a bit slow but they are settling in & doing their best to adapt to the number of people. We ate in on Thursday & collected food from there last night...the food was just as good collected as it was in the restaurant. Can't wait to return!

We've lived in Cambridge for 2 years now, and Little Petra is still the best place we've eaten at. If you're visiting Cambridge, make a point of going. If you live in Cambridge, make it your regular place to go. Staff are all really helpful; the chefs & front of house clearly love what they do and the food they make. The waiting staff are polite and super attentive. We said ahead of time we were bringing our 4 week old asleep in the pram, and they made space for us to sit comfortably together with the pram. The food is the star of the show; just exceptional. Everything is fresh and clearly made from scratch, from the delicious meats, through to halloumi and Falafels (a true highlight) right down to their sauces and pickled veg. There are always people around, and the new location gives lots of light & the ability to see out onto the street; it give the place a lovely atmosphere. We love it, you should too.
