They got us in despite not having a reservation and being right before closing time. Food was delicious; especially the lamb chops. Service was top notch.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem right after settling into our nearby hotel at Leonardo Royal London St Paul's, while in search of a delightful Indian dining experience. With a very short time notice, they arranged a 4 people table. The restaurant was full and it had a great vibrant atmosphere. Served with fragrant rice and mouthwatering naan bread, the entire meal was an absolute feast for the senses. To top it all off, I enjoyed refreshing sips of Kingfisher beer, first time had this indian lager beer which complemented my spicy meal beautifully. Again the waiters were very helpful, friendly and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Friendly staff, great hours, . I am a very big fan of Indian food and this place did not dissapoint. The taste, quality, and presentation of the food was abundant. You cannot go wrong with the budder chicken. The cheese naan was essentially a fluffy pizza. Had to visit twice during my short stint in London.

Food was excellent. Service was OK. The location is great, right next to blackfriars station. The building itself is very compact and feels a little cramped. But if you don't mind that then worth a visit.

Delightful restaurant, staff are really friendly and attentive, the food itself is simply wonderful. The meat is exceptionally tender and the curry sauces were simply delicious, naan nice and fluffy (not doughy or dense) and I can not recommend the mixed platter for starters enough! We will definitely be back next time we are in London!

Indian City truly delivers an exceptional dining experience! Our recent Christmas meal, hosted for work on the 18th of December, was nothing short of spectacular. The standout feature was undeniably the outstanding service provided by Sam. His attentiveness and dedication ensured our evening was seamless and enjoyable. The food was an absolute delight! Each dish was a masterpiece, boasting authentic flavors that tantalized our taste buds. From aromatic curries to flavorful biryanis, every bite was a culinary adventure. Moreover, the ambiance during the festive season added a special touch to the evening, making it a truly memorable occasion. Indian City is undoubtedly a gem for anyone seeking not only delicious Indian cuisine but also impeccable service. Highly recommended for any occasion or celebration!

Excellent food! We sampled the tandoori platter, balti king prawn, bhuna lamb, dansak chicken. The steamed rice, garlic naan and plain naan rounded out the meal. Absolutely delicious! Impressed with the efficient service, especially as the restaurant was packed. Recommend booking in advance.

It’s interesting reading the 5 star reviews for Indian City….you almost expect to be waking into a 5 star hotel! I’ve eaten at many indian restaurants but my version of 5 stars differs to the typical. The food was good, but not mind-blowing. The mushroom rice and tikka masala I had were tasty but had nothing special about them. It was pretty standard. The place is over-crammed with seating, so much so that it was difficult for our guests, some of which are athletes, to manoeuvre past seating/tables. Our waiter got the order wrong for one guest leaving her waiting while all other food was out. It certainly wasn’t a 5 star experience for me but people have different standards I guess.

We decided to try Indian City restaurant because we were staying nearby and could see how popular it was. We weren’t disappointed. The food is excellent. It is a feast for the eyes and taste buds, beautifully presented, delicious, nicely balanced for flavour and richness. Also good value. We wanted to go again before we left London but couldn’t get there. One week and halfway around the world later, I still think of the food. Guaranteed, we will be back and will be looking to dine here many times on our return!

Fantastic restaurant, visit here every time I’m down in the City of London for business! The flavours are authentic, it’s pretty well priced (especially for central London), and the staff are attentive. The restaurant itself is quite small but there is a nice vibe inside. Definitely recommend anyone who wants some great tasting Indian! Always busy so recommend you book in advance

I went there yesterday which was a Friday with 2 friends for dinner. I believe my friend made a reservation so we had a table waiting on us when we arrived. The service was really good as the staff were very attentive. I went for a vegetarian meal and asked for them to make it spicy which they obliged today. It was quiet when we got in at 7pm but by the time we left at 9pm it was quite busy. They sell alcohol in the restaurant and the food came out quite quickly.

Excellent indian restaurant where you have the opportunity to explore various experience of indian food; chicken, lamb, etc... with different level of spicy sensation. the green chicken was very good ! in addition of that, an opportunity to have food after 10:00pm, as all local pub are all close for serving food. do not hesitate if you are aroud.

Went for the express lunch deal - good quality Indian food, but not exceptional. Happy with the quality of the food and flavour of the curries, naan bread however was drowning in ghee.

I took a few clients here this afternoon. Service was first class. V friendly, and attentive but no rush. Thank you Ching for looking after us so well. Food was superb, the restaurant is a high standard of presentation without being too fancy and the environment is buzzing with people from suits to jumpers. A great mix. I entertain clients a lot and this is one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to.

Let's just start by saying this restaurant is NOT Indian, let alone authentic Indian. Not by a country mile. This is yet another case of a Bangladeshi/Bengali restaurant masquerading as an 'Indian' restaurant. It frustrates me because this really sets the bar low and unsuspecting customers believe that they are having Indian food. They are not. I visited as part of a group of 15 (work dinner) and we were left bitterly disappointed. - Food was not Indian, but Bangladeshi. Added colour, cream and sugar in every dish. Terrible. - Butter Chicken was absolutely hideous. So bad that one of my colleagues refused to eat it and was left hungry. - Table setting was ridiculous and just too cramped. It made the seating experience very uncomfortable and a real challenge to use the facilities. For God's sake, space out the tables a little bit so your customers can be comfortable, in lieu of cramming in as many as possible to increase the customer count. - Portion sizes are miniscule. You get double the rice in a microwave pack bought from the supermarket. - I ordered Nawabi Chicken and it was served on a bed of "lettuce". What in the world is that about? Absolute waste of lettuce. Show me a Nawabi Chicken anywhere else in the world, especially in India, that is served on a bed of wilted lettuce. Disgraceful. Service was okay but that nowhere near makes up for the shambles that was our overall experience. Would not recommend, look elsewhere.

Food was very tasty and exquisite! Very best quality indian i had in ages! Just like my mothers cooking, the Bhagari chicken mouth watering. Not the one to write reviews very often but here i had to after my super duper service and great food.

Very tasty Indian food. We were there on a Monday evening without making a reservation in advance. We had papadams as a starter – the dips where mild. We had lamb shank and chicken shashlik. Both where outstanding. The garlic naan was done perfectly.

I really enjoyed the ambiance here. The candles were lit on each table and the food was absolutely delicious. Very authentic Indian food. Would go as far as saying one of the best restaurants I've been to. Can't fault the service or taste.

Best Indian Food EVER! Been to many Indian food restaurants but this one was the best. Visiting from Cda for Queens' Jubilee week and it was 1 block from our hotel. Ate their first night and were so impressed we ate there again on our last night and was just as good. Lovely atmosphere and service was as fabulous as the food. Highly recommend.

Outstanding Indian food. Amazing authentic Indian food! This is our favourite Indian restaurant and serves the best curries we’ve ever tasted. Everything we have tried here has been delicious and they will adjust the spicing to suit all palates. Staff are fantastic and go above and beyond, constantly surpassing expectations. Prices are very reasonable, portions are a decent amount and ingredients are very high quality.
