This is the best park in close proximity to Dover. There are large open fields for dogs to run, a baseball diamond, 2 sand volleyball courts, a castle play structure for kids, lots of walking paths, and pavilions with picnic tables and grills. You do have to take your trash with you as there aren’t trash cans, but bags are provided for regular trash and dog waste. It’s quite a popular park, but there is plenty of parking.

A beautiful, large, well maintained park. There’s something for everyone. Trails. Playground. Practice fields. It’s a great place right off the highway to go connect with nature real quick.

This has always been one of my favorite parks in dover since I was little and now I bring my kids here. There so much to do from walking trails, wide open fields, pavilion space for parties and of course piccadilly castle. However major renovations need to be done the castle needs a major upgrade. There is warped wood and chipped paint coming off of the playground equipment. I wouldn't mind a closure for a few months so renovations can be done and the playground can be restored like it was 20 years ago.

I like walking in a wooded part of the park. Fast-paced walk to the end of the trail and back (wooded part only) takes about 40 minutes. There is also a wonderful playground for kids, in addition to the picnic areas, plenty of parking, and clean bathrooms.

Love this park! There are volleyball courts, basketball, & of course the main attraction: the humongous wooden jungle gym! So much fun for all ages. There are also easy to medium-difficulty walking trails. It's definitely worth a visit!

Just a quick walk and read before heading home, refreshing.

Great open area. Great play area. Parking right up to the park. Bathrooms, but inserted a pic to show that not the greatest, although they are present.

I went there with our friends and their grandson. The playgrounds have so many different activities and the play area is protected with a fence surrounding the large play area. There were many children there having a great time. What I didn't know was that there was also an angel there I had been sitting on the bench by the swings When it was time to leave I had grabbed our trekking poles and three of our water bottles, what I did not realize was that I left my cell on the bench. I did not realize what I forgot until we got home, We ran back though I believed it could not still be there. We got back to the park and on the bench was my cell phone. A woman had been guarding it the whole time, waiting for us to return. I cannot thank this angel enough and I plan to pay it forward as many times as I am able. She renewed my faith in the goodness in this world. Thank you!

Every spacious. The kids enjoyed playing in the play area. The nature walk was nice. I was also nice to see others there playing football, running along the nature trail, and barbecuing. It was an awesome atmosphere to be in and a great place for family fun.

Nice park, clean. I stopped there to see a buddy of mine that had moved outta state. And he had his daughter out there and she was having a blast. And the atmosphere was definitely good and clean. So I would recommend for anyone that wants to just walk the trails with there wife or wants to take the kids to play. Matter fact once it warms up some I'll be taking my wife down there to walk trails

We love walking the trails around Brecknock Park. There is something for everyone. We’ve taken our granddaughter to the playground, visited the education center, and attend weekly summer concerts. A wonderful part of the community.

Great park even for 1 & 2 year olds! Very big and fun playground for more ages than most parks. Our toddlers loved it! Swings, slides, and more. Castle-shaped wooden structures were awesome! No trash cans. Didn’t explore the grassy field or trail, but they looked nice.

Beautiful park that spans a pretty sizable walking distance great for dog walks, has woods area for nature viewing. Just be mindful that they have a "take trash with you" policy, there are no trashcans but they have a receptical for you to get small clear trashbags to take the trash in car or to nearest trash can.
