Terrible service. The server seem in a bad mood, like the food was hers that she was serving a little bit. And just terrible. Usually the food is really good, but my experience today was terrible. Will never have the server again. She was horrible. If you don’t like your job, please find something you like to do so you don’t make other pay for your bad choices. The permit was plain, no flavor at all and it was pale like if it was boiled instead of bake. $30. In the trash

There is aways a debate as to who has the best Hispanic food in Camden, NJ. Hands down it is Old San Juan. With its wide variety of cultural food, availability and taste it can't be beat. The dine in experience needs to step it up s often you see workers huddled up chit chatting and from what I can gather familiar or interested parties distracting workers from fully servicing customers. It is more like a 4-1/2 star rating because I'm familiar with the atmosphere but for someone new in the area it would take away from this gem in the hood.

The food here is beautiful ❤️ You can smell it down the block. There were at least 10 people behind me and I wasn’t rushed at all.I was in awe of how much food it was. I met the owner who was so kind. I was just so excited really. Even the customers in line were nice. I was talking to them too! God Bless you all because y’all are amazing 😃

We don't live in Camden but we go there to visit family about twice a month and stopping at this place is a MUST when we are in the area. The food there is delicious!!! The people that work there are so friendly as well!! We usually take our food to go but they do have a really nice dine in area in case you want to relax and listen to some good music 🎶, they also have a bar 🍸. Our favorite to take home is thier chicharrones, best we have tasted in all New Jersey. So if you are nearby, I truly suggest that you give this awesome place a try. You will be extremely happy that you did!

What an amazing spot to dine. One side is take out and little shop, the other side is dine in. Dinning here takes time as many customers had many questions and very talkative with the staff. The waitress was kind and polite. The food options were extensive and delicious. The music was a little loud but it reminded me of Puerto Rico. The art on the walls were beautiful. Overall a great experience. It was a very busy spot and glad to see it. Parking was not a challenge for me on side of building but it can be if lot is filled and street parking is involved.

I waited 10 minutes to be seated and another 10 minutes for someone to take my order… other quest were served soup however none was offered to me ( non Hispanic) definitely made me feel unwelcome.. all customer must be served the same way.. I was very disappointed with the terrible service. Also the waitress did not check to see if I was okay or needed anything. She chatted with several customers in length., not sure if I will go back to be treated in the manner I was treated.

I love this restaurant, they have a large variety 😋 of Spanish-made dishes. It's a family-owned business. Clean, great service. They also offer bakery items and desserts !

Just had take out - Grilled Chicken and Spanish Rice - it really was incredible- for $12 I had a small full chicken grilled to perfection and really exceptional rice - it took just a few minutes to complete my order - and the adjacent parking made this whole trip easy and great in every way - I look forward to many more visits - the ladies on the staff had the best smiles too!!! I love everything about this place

The pork was moist better than Freddie's that's around the way. Plantains were ripe the way I like it and not greasy. Rice was dry. Oxtails very small. It's packed in there and the food was scarce at 5pm. I have two stars for the taste of pork and plantains. Portions are too small for the cost.

Food was delicious, honestly felt like being in the island itself. They have a big selection of pastelillos/empanadas and pastries. They food selection is amazing as well and when it comes to flavor it felt like home. We had mofongo and pernil, arroz con gandules and pernil and some empanada, everything was great and the mural truly takes you back home while enjoying amazing fort and good music.

I was treated to a cup of soup while I waited, and that was a warm welcome. Ordered the guineo with cuajito, sancocho, and a Medalla (puerto rican beer), plus a pastelillo to go. It was all good, the only thing the quality was too salty for me.

I bought some soup and it was bad it tasted bad and it smelled bad. How can they not noticed it was bad??? I think these people do not adhere with sanitary regulations and keep the food there overnight and continue to sell it without making new food until it’s all gone. Beware; I was sick for days after eating there. Not the cleanest place to eat. Stay away from it.

Everything was delicious and flavorful. Servings are enough for two people to share. I will return. Reasonable prices.

I recently experienced the culinary delights at Old San Juan in Camden and found it to be a delightful spot with great customer service and good food. The diverse menu provides a lot of variety, making it an excellent choice for those with different tastes. The atmosphere is inviting and contributes to an enjoyable dining experience. The staff's attention to customer service adds a positive touch, making the visit memorable. While the Mofongo was good, I believe there's room for improvement to elevate it to an exceptional level. Overall, Old San Juan in Camden offers a solid four-star dining experience, combining friendly service, good food, and a diverse menu in a welcoming atmosphere.

It's okay I ve been there a few times but I wasn't that God the foods are over cooked at some point and some foods seems they are kind of not fresh enough, The oxtail the cook it so long that it loses its meat look like it shrink and dark like over cook .I dislike the pastels .brought a dozen and didn't like the way the made them ..I was disappointed and haven't. Brought anything there But fish and rice .

Food was awesome, would love to eat the food everyday. They give a small complimentary soup, which was delicious and was served almost immediately. I think it was complimentary. We ordered an empanada for appetizer which was delicious except it was filled MAYBE 50% meat. Then the wait was crazy long, it was really confusing because everything in the beginning was out then the main meal was like damn I literally forgot what I ordered.

I had the lobster with sweet plantains and my date had stew chicken. Very flavorful foods and nice staff. Improvement in Interior design is definitely the only thing missing. Will be coming here again.

it's been a long time since I last ate here. I looks like they have some more seating which is awesome and looks like the sell alcohol which is a plus. the food though is still tasty as ever. I had something I never had before but damn it was tasty.
