Appreciate classical architecture and experience hustle bustle of the town of Pachuca. We came on Sunday morning and was fortunate to see the local MP performing their drill in front of the clock tower. Tips: Walk beyond few blocks behind BBVA building and heads towards the Mercado. You will get first hand experience the local doing the business and its much more lively there.

(Translated by Google) It is a pity that it is painted, but the monument is very good, It was built in the period of time between 1904 and 1910; from 1904 to 1905 the planning of the project is presented and the foundation is built; and from 1907 to 1910 the tower was built. Built by the engineers Francisco Hernández and Luis Carreón on a project by the architect Tomás Cordero. It is of neoclassical architecture, presenting various styles such as Doric, Ionic, Corinthian and Tuscan. It is 40 meters high, each of its four faces, 12.94 m long, pointing to the cardinal points. The tower is made up of four levels; entrance (first level), balcony (second level), female sculptures (third level) and metal ceiling (fourth level). On the third level there are four female sculptures, sculpted in marble from Carrara, Italy. Three meters high and placed on each of its sides, representing the beginning and the consummation of the Independence of Mexico; the promulgation of the Mexican Constitution of 1857; and the Laws of Reform and War of Reform. Therefore, the statues represent Independence, Liberty, the Constitution and the Reformation. Historical moments of enormous importance in Mexico, until the moment of its construction. A beautiful Monument set in a small town square with stunning architecture. The atmosphere of stores, shops, restaurants, street vendors and tourists surrounding the clock especially the locals providing entertainment amplified the life of the square to provide an enchanting and fun experience. Another must see when visiting Pachuca

A beautiful structure located on the heart of Pachuca. The Monumental landmark is the center piece in the heart of downtown surrounded by traditional buildings. The square surrounding the clock has plenty of attractions. There are street vendors, restaurants and stores surrounding the plaza. Fun and exciting energy in the surrounding area so this is a must visit if you ever go to Pachuca!

Impressive huge clock, still functioning after over a century of being built. There is underground parking right underneath that costs 12 per hour and 3 every 15 minutes after the first hour. The cultural centre ( and toilets) are closed due to the pandemic.

Requires some cleaning, it is lonely at night, and not much else to do other than taking some pictures. Probably busier during the day but it lacks something.

(Translated by Google) Visiting the monumental clock in Pachuca. You can go up some stairs (difficult for children and for those who fear height) while going up you can see each of the sections of the clock, in the first part there is the mechanism that activates the ringing of the bells, it is a Incredibly synchronized machine over 100 years old, even next to it are the cylinders that make the melody play when the bells ring. This watch was manufactured by the same company that made the most famous watch in the world, Big Ben in London. When you get to the top where the bells are, you have a 360 ° panoramic view of the city of Pachuca. When we got off the clock we went to eat the traditional pastes from Pachuca.
