Shanghai Resort is a hidden gem on Norris Lake. As a marina, it boasts a delightful ambiance and offers a truly enjoyable dining experience. We had a fantastic time during our visit. We had dinner here outside on the patio, and the food was excellent. We definitely plan on returning here!

Food was good. Very impressed with the staff. Glad to see teenagers helping people and not on the phone. My only complaint is they had a political flag under the American flag. No matter what side you are on you shouldn’t be displaying your political beliefs for the public to see.

We have had nothing but wonderful service from this marina. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The store has so many options for clothing which is nice. The hotel is one of the cleanest we've ever stayed in. There was always someone available to get us towels or fresh sheets. The food and service was great at the restaurant. Our servers Jocelyn, Summer, Piper and Madison were fantastic. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay/visit at Norris.

Had terrible customer service. Was charged for damage previously on the boat that we did not do. A $500 boat rental turned into over $1,000 that was charged to my card. I would never go back or recommend this company to anyone. I will be sure to let all of my friends and family that love Norris know to never come to this place. Warning to take your own overview pictures prior to taking the boat out if you decide to go with this poorly ran rental company.

My husband and I live in Sevierville, and we were in need of a couple of days to relax and get away. I found Shanghai Resort on Facebook, and I AM SO GLAD I DID! We stayed two nights at the hotel and the rooms were so nice, clean, and comfy. From the second we got there, everyone was very nice and welcoming. We rented a speed boat the first full day, and a pontoon boat on our last day. The boats were in excellent condition, seemed brand new. Lucas and Steve were incredible & SO NICE!!! Walked us through everything with both boats, and the entire lake. We are familiar with Douglas Lake, not Norris, so it was very helpful to have all to information and tips they provided. The gift shop was stocked with all kinds of amazing items, the food and service at the restaurant was very impressive, and the whole experience was WAY ABOVE expectations!! Thanks soooo much for making our little getaway so much fun, we felt like we were part of a big lake loving family :) !!! We WILL BE BACK!! This is going to be a place we visit quite a bit next summer for sure!

We love this place! We go multiple times each summer, and enjoy it every time. My only complaint is that their menu has shrunk. They used to have arguably the best food on the lake, and a large variety. Now it's gone down to a limited menu with not great options. I wish they would put the old menu back. Otherwise it's a great place to hangout and be at!

I have never stayed here but was interested. After reading the responses from management, I believe I will go elsewhere. I don't understand why managment would provoke confrontation on this platform. Reviews are for potential customers, not for management to argue with disgruntled customers. That should be handled in private.

We rented a boat for 2 days. The boat was very nice but it was a bit disappointing that it didn't come with an anchor or extra rope. They also didn't have kids life jackets. You had to purchase them. Luckily we brought our own. I think it would make more sense to provide these things and then if you lose it you buy it.
