I was quite disappointed to make it out to Sandy Pines with donations, only to be walked past without a hello or anything by 4 volunteers. I was just left standing there with boxes and such. When someone finally acknowledged us, an older lady just stuck her head out the door- said to leave the donation by the door- then shut it on us. I appreciate the work they do, but their customer service was terrible. This was disappointing as I was quite excited to find out more about the place and possibly volunteer, but all I got was the feeling that they dont care to engage with the public more than they absolutely have to.

I wish there were more SPWC locations. These people really care and where the only ones that helped us when we thought our baby raccoon was dying. We drove 2.5 hours to get to SPEC, hoping that baby Lucky raccoon will flourish under their care. We care allot and miss baby Lucky so much.

Found this little guy with a broken wing, and they were very nice and took him in right away!. There are many animals around their farm, it seems like a great place for them!!

Contacted them regarding an injured bird. The lady I spoke to on the phone seemed completely disinterested but said they would send a driver to get the bird and no one showed. After more than 24 hours it passed away.

I love the care and dedication that everyone here takes to help our wildlife. It's such a shame to see so many injured animals this year but it's also so great to see how many people care enough to bring them in. Today was the second time I have brought in an injured animal and the staff is always friendly and ready to receive whatever comes their way: from turtles to pigeons and everything in between. Thank you for all you do, Sandy Pines! ❤

A bird struck our window and was knocked senseless for over an hour. We could see that it was still alive, so we called Sandy Pines to find out what we should do. They told us to bring the bird to them to see if they could help. Sandy Pines provides a great service for all kinds of injured animals. If the animal has been rehabilitated, it is released back into the wild.

This is not a public space, and animals in care are not available for viewing. Please keep pets in your vehicle if stopping by to drop off injured or orphaned wildlife. Every visit here to drop off wounded wildlife brings me joy as I see so many people dedicated to rehabilitation of our wild cousins.

Sandy pines does amazing work! We’ve brought turtles in for help and have volunteered. Everyone is kind and welcoming but in the summer when they are very busy give them some slack on “customer service”. Their customers are the injured animals and they treat them like royalty - human visitors may not get the same treatment as they need to focus on the animals. When you’re visiting keep an eye out for their sign. It is hard to see as it faces the road and not the traffic. We miss the driveway every time!

Today was the second time I have had to contact Sandy Pines for assistance. I contacted their office at approximately 2:00pm and by 2:45pm, I had a driver at my door picking up the animal I had called about. I have always receievd pleasent servive and sound advice when calling Sandy Pines and trust 100% that they are taking excellent care of the animals they take in.

We took an injured seagull here after first calling ahead. They seemed genuinely happy to help. There were several geese/ducks on the property just chillin. Highly recommend and if you are able to maybe consider a charitable donation.

These people were so nice... had a baby bunny stranded in our parking lot and drove the lil guy to the wildlife center. The main coordinator was great, she clearly loved the animals and wanted the best. Even offered an outreach email addresses to check on health updates. Great center worth way more attention than it has, and will be volunteering soon!

We are so lucky to have SPWC available to us in Kingston and surrounding areas. The staff is friendly and helpful, their work saves lives and improves quality of life for the non-human animals in our region. Thank you, Sandy Pines, for your hard work and dedication to wildlife!

I brought in a raccoon that I found on the side of the road injured from being hit by a car, I called sandy pines and they were so polite & stayed after hours to help him. Amazing staff and business.

We recently found not one but two young crows on our property a few days apart. We waited for momma to come back, but she never did. So we brought him into the center where we were met with empathy and compassion. The second crow was badly injured but content with the peace and meal before his journey to the center as well. The center works by none profit, so after our questions and concerns were met. We were happy to leave a donation. They work so hard there, they definitely need all the help they can get.

This place is magical and lovely. Brought them a baby racoon and they were all over it. Showing up there and seeing how wonderful it was, was absolutely mind blowing. Good job to them all there.

Very coordinated services, extensive knowledge and super supportive of all wildlife in need. They make a huge impact and overall you leave feeling like the animals are getting the absolute best care and may just have a chance.

I hate to do this especially leave her one star on a wildlife rescue. First time going out there last night I appreciate that accommodations past 9:00. We brought a baby bunny in last night that our cat had brought home the lady who came to the door was so rude so rude " well is your cat inside" well he should be" bte my cat is a barn cat lives outside all summer. anyways she just took the bunny inside in disreagard then she didnt even return my hot waterbottle or blanket i used to bring him there with. I regret now wasting my time.and gas and getting stolen from right in front of me. Next bunny brought home ill just take care of it to the best of my knowledge.

I took a baby squirrel that had been injured. By a vehicle or had fallen from its nest. I took it to sandy pines wildlife sanctuary. I came back a few days later to see how he was doing and to see if he survive. But I got some bad news. Thay had to put the poor little guy to sleep as he was having seizures. I started to cry. My heart was broken 💔. But of least I did the right thing so he wants suffering. THANKS. SANDY PINES WILDLIFE SANCTUARY. FOR TRYING TO SAVE THE LITTLE GUY. TONY LOTT.

I have been there a few times now to bring in injured wildlife and I’m glad that they’re there. Thanks to Sue and Pat and the others for the work they do. The centre relies on donations to fund its operations, so if you can afford it, any donation is gladly accepted.
