The park is OVERSELLING tickets online. Police is restricting access, limiting amounts of people (understandable during Covid19). And all they said is "call SEPAQ" for "reimbursement". All this after 2 hours driving from Montreal with two kids. Shameful. Why they are not restricting the amount of tickets? Who will reimburse us for the gas? SEPAQ? How will SEPAQ compensate for deceiving people? Kids?. Very sad experience today July 4th, 2020.

The foggy day is always my favourite time to shoot. Yesterday was my lucky day. When we got here, the lake was still covered by a thin veil of fog, full of mystery! Just few seconds after I took this photo, the veil of fog was melting away. The park’s trails are still very colourful, very enjoyable to hike.

Amazing park, trail variety is very good, from advanced to beginner, there's a trail for you. Lots of picnic tables, so after your good hike, you can enjoy your meals. 100% recommend

Very nice park with well maintained trails. Fast, friendly, and helpful bike rentals on site. Check ahead if rentals are available, we were there early May and rentals opened last day we were there.

Large park, many well-marked hiking trails to choose from. During COVID, sections of the park reach capacity quickly, so I recommend arriving early and purchase tickets before arrival if possible. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Many places to stop and picnic along the trails.

I went to Mont Orford on Canada day! good thing there weren’t many people, it was easy to access the park not much wait. They charge per person and depending which trails you choose, they lead you to a free parking or paying parking. Since we had two dogs with us, we had 2 walking trails to choose from (that allows dogs on a leash) one takes 2 hours ( free parking near by the entrance and the other one 3 hours (you slightly need to go further up and pay parking about $10 more) We chose the Mont-Chauve trail (about 10km hiking up the rocky trail, it tooks us a little more than 4 hours to go up and come down) this trail is not suited for people who has knee problem, it is pretty rocky and steep compare to other trails ive been in the past. Even my two dogs had to jump rocks to rocks (I suggest you take the easiest trail of 2 hours, the lady at the front told us it would be more of a flat surface surrounding the water) If! you are not going there to hike, then just do picnic at the beach, bring your bathing suit and your paddle board, relax all day! The view of the mountains is breathtaking, the water is clean, the bathroom is well maintained. Such a beautiful place to hang out with your family on a sunny day After a long day of hiking my legs were done, make sure you stretch! Dont forget to bring bug spray during wet season, or during summer (tons of mosquitos that won’t you free)

(Translated by Google) Really great as a park! Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy it. Roe deer passed right next to my campsite. The Bienvenue Cyclistes place is right on the green route, far from other campers. Really wonderful. (Original) Vraiment super comme parc! Amateurs de randonnées vont régaler. Des chevreuils sont passés juste a coté de mon camping. L'endroit Bienvenue Cyclistes est en plein sur la route verte, loin des autres campeurs. Vraiment merveilleux.

(Translated by Google) Nice view at the top, the trails via the ski "tracks" are rather difficult, a steady climb! Only downside, there is no shade, so completely exposed to the sun. NB. The tracks are not those of the SEPAQ (the site was "full") (Original) Belle vue au sommet, les sentiers via les "pistes" de ski sont plutôt difficiles, une montée soutenue! Seul inconvénient, il n'y a pas d'ombre, alors complètement exposé au soleil. NB. Les pistes ne sont pas celles de la SEPAQ (le site était "complet")

So many amazing trails and awesome little places to stop for lunch or a break! With anything outdoors you need to ensure that you plan ahead for the duration of your trip and how intense the activity you want to do is! All in all it's an awesome experience and I'd recommend you show up early on the weekends as it tends to get busy.

Well maintained park with a beautiful lake. It has clean bathrooms and playground for the kids. It's fun to spend the day with family or friends. You can also rent kayak or paddle board etc. One downside, they seem to sell more tickets than they can accommodate and you end up lining up for long time to get in!

Beautiful but don't bring a big awning or you BBQ, it's not allowed for some reason.

Few places have an energy and feel that are distinct. This park is such a place. Privacy is paramount. Amenities are on par with any provincial park. There could be more presence in terms of patrols in my opinion. That said, we've never an issue with noise or partying after hours. It was cool to see a movie shoot this visit to the "Rock".

Beautiful park! Hiking trails. Ski hills. Two lakes with beaches: one that restricts motorized watercraft. One warning: do not go during Quebec's construction holiday- last 2 weeks of July or last week July & 1st week August.

Stukely beach was crowded but everything else was great. 2022 edit: Unless you want to spend 45min waiting in your car to get in the park, pay attention to small prints in Orford National park website… When we reached the entrance for Lake Stukely the line was going beyond the park entrance (our kids and I now know it’s about 45min to the cabin were they check your tickets). We have year long pass and we had reserved our parking for the beach so the wait seemed long and inevitable. Little did we know it was actually useless… When we reached the end of the line they told us that the beach parking was full and despite our tickets, we could only head to another very nice beach at Lake Frazer. Only 20min drive and 10min wait :-( Dear SEPAQ, your parks are great and it’s almost ok to pay extra for parking. But could you create separate tickets for separate parking so you can regulate traffic separately and prevent families these long wait times??

Very beautiful park, it has a small beach ⛱️ but it is very nice beach, you can do some activities as hiking and kayak. I recommend you to visit it.

It was unclear where to go to start some trails, but once you found which entrance to go to everything was smooth sailing. The mountain is beautiful and dogs can access some of the longer trails, which is nice. Where hiking boots to protect your ankles, there are many roots and rocks in the trail.

The facilities were amazing The staff is amazing Everyone is so knowledgeable and friendly I love the work Sepaq does to preserve nature and allow citizens to enjoy the beauty of Quebec. The trails are so well kept, well thought out and curated to maximize the experience of the human exploring. So so impressed. Thank you for creating a information Center that is helpful and so so beautiful!

Absolutely lovely place to walk throughout the nice scenery of nature. You can also do some cross-country skis and there were some people doing fat bikes.

Many activities to do at this park and they also have the equipment rental at customer service center. Trails are well marked so no need to worry about getting lost. Some parts of the trail in winter could be slippery so a pair of spikes would help a lot 😬

Visited Summer 2020 and Fall 2016. Breathtaking views in both seasons, especially the fall. Gondola ride is a must or alternatively can hike to the summit (850 m). Found the summit hike to be a bit challenging! Will definitely return!

Came here for a day hike. We did the Crêtes and Grande Coulée loop. From the parking for Pic de l'Ours all the way to Mont Orford and back, it gave us a 17.5 Km loop! Really nice viewpoints and nice trails. We like hiking and didn't find this loop particularly hard but it isn't an easy one either. There are a lot of stone steps and uneven terrain. Once back down from the Orford peak, the way back is fairly flat and much easier.

This provincial park has a large camping site, with a beach. Visitors who want to access the beach can do so without having to camp there, but the cost for 2 people is 30$, pretty expensive for a few hours at a small beach, but when you need to cool down you pay the price. Do not forget to pack a lunch if your there for the day, not much to eat at the store. You can rent a kayak. Good size parking.

The indications to go to the Mont-Chauve trail aren’t really clear (we completed the trail l’Étang-fer-de-Lance thinking the Mont-Chauve trail started at the same point, but it doesn’t - we needed to walk through the parking and pass by the dock (where people put their boats to the water) to start the trail). I highly suggest going to the Service Centre to ask directions as this is only how we got to the start of the trail. The Mont-Chauve a pretty hard trail as some parts of the trail are super steep (need some climbing at some parts, especially near the top of the mountain). The employee at the Services Centre suggested us to start by the Flanc Ouest (West) first, then finish with the Flanc Est (East). I too think it was the best way to go, as the West side was steeper and more challenging then the East side of the loop. The more you go up, the more flies there are. Highly recommend bringing a mosquito repellent with you and also, lots of water! When we were this high up, our hands started to swell (and pretty sure our feet too), so make sure you get comfortable hiking shoes with enough room for your feet, otherwise you might get blisters like I did! Overall, it was a pretty nice hike, perfect on a sunny day (not too hot as there’s a lot of trees giving you shade), and the feeling of accomplishment once you’re done is amazing! If you want, there’s also a beach near the Services Centre, so you can go for a swim before or after your hike!

minus one star due to long waiting times at check point kiosk. We bought parking and entrance online. Somebody needs to scan the bar code. We have to wait 30 minutes for that. Beautiful lake and mountains

Your neighbours will be close and clearly visible. Although there are warnings - the racoons are very savage and don't fear campers to get food. Keep food and dirty dishes in the car if you didn't wash them. No matter how diligent you can be with your food, the smallest morcel that mistakenly falls to the ground and forgotten will call them while you sleep. The beach was insanely crowded, and if it previously rained, the facility is not able to store the firewood in a place to keep it dry. Buy dry firewood before hand. The trails and views are however beautiful. Although my review is harsh - it's honest and straight forward from my experience. Not worth what I payed in my opinion.

It is quite difficult to reserve a camping spot, but it is worth trying, I can notice that the camping in Mont Orford is very organized and the staff is friendly, the camping sites are spacious, the beach is beautiful, the toilets are clean... will definitely come again..

Only had about an hour and a half before the sunset, so took the advice of the guide at the Discovery Center to do the 5.5 km loop called Trois-Étangs- a fairly flat trail with three lovely ponds along the way, and a decent number of fellow trekkers!

It's amazing what there is to discover there. The most interesting thing is the long walks through the forest and along the lakes, something really interesting. There are also other things to discover, like climbing to the top of the mountain and enjoying the beautiful view from there.

The park is not for the kids. The kids can't go nowhere beside the paths. There are little roots that you have to fallow. NO MUSHROOM PICKING, NOT LEAVES PICKING. NOTHING PICKING. You have to remember that this forest is only for animals, not for the people.

My family could not go to Parc national du Mont-Orford because of closed Canada-US border during COVID19. I tried to cancel with Sepaq through emails and phones for a month but did not receive any response. While I am ok to donate to Sepaq during this time, but I do expect at least a thank you email instead of being completely ignored.
