Came for the restaurant only - amazing! We went with the tasting menu and wine pairings. Each course was inventive, well presented and delicious. Timing was perfect and the wine pairings were well executed. The staff is professional and welcoming, the atmosphere cozy and inviting. Highly recommend, will be back!

An incredible experience, truly a special place. You can tell that blood, sweat and tears goes into everything that is put in front of you and everything around you. This restaurant is a labour of love, but its all about fun, discovery and experimentation. We had the 5-course menu and wine pairings, it was on par with some of the best restaurants worldwide. Such a pleasure, we’ll be back— definitely. Thanks Lily and the team…

We had a very nice meal here. This is clearly a more expensive option in town but we’d say the standard of the food was commensurate with the price. Most of our dishes were absolutely delicious. And while there were a couple of things where the flavour combinations didn’t work for us, the quality of the ingredients was still clear. For example, we didn’t like the scallop and orange sauce combination. But the scallops were the biggest and juiciest we’ve ever had. However, our visit didn’t get off to a good start, as we were left waiting at the door for over 20 minutes. It turned out some previous guests had run over their time slot so our table wasn’t ready, but nobody communicated this to us and instead everyone that walked past avoided eye contact with us and essentially ignored us. It didn’t help that another couple came in 10 minutes after us and got seated straight away. We still were offered no explanation. Eventually we were seated at a different table at the bar which had been vacant the whole time. We understand the restaurant can’t control the actions of other guests but we think the situation could have been managed and communicated a lot better. We almost walked out because we got fed up of waiting, the only reason that we didn’t was we thought we’d be charged a no-show fee. In the end, we’re glad we persevered as we had a nice meal, but we do think this situation could have been easily avoided and shouldn’t happen at a restaurant of this standard.

This is a delayed review, as we dined here last year. It was one of, if not the best meal that I've ever had. The price for the chef's tasting menu is a bargain considering the quality of the food. Watching the chefs work in the open kitchen was a delight. Anyone around the area or near Tofino should definitely dine here.

I rarely write reviews, but I have to, for this one, to express the gratitude I have for them. Got recommended by my Airbnb host, I’m so glad I was able to get a reservation on my last night in town. The place is small, and yet very clean and cozy. Probably because I booked a reservation for one person, the owners and the staff, simply addressed me by my name without asking. That tells me the amount of care and thoughts the restaurant invested to their customers are incredible and I’m very safe to say, this is simply the best service I’ve had in Canada after living here over 12 years across three major cities. They truly sets the bar no restaurants can reach, because most Canadian restaurants service are fake as hell, but this restaurant, everyone I have met was very sincere, that warms my heart. And then the food, because it’s a set menu style, you don’t really get to pick, and I’m fine with that! Because it usually means all food are super fresh since they know how much they are preparing every day. And I was not wrong. From the presentation to the taste, if I was the one who rates Michelin stars I’d give them 3! The salmon was cooked to a perfection, and the texture of the veal cheek just absolutely on point. Because my reservation was at 8:30 so I ate something at 5, oh do I regret that, but I managed to enjoy and finished all of my food and drinks. Very pleased with the chef’s choice! For someone saying their price is a bit much, I’ll tell you why, because it is in a small town, people would expect things are cheaper, but if you have the same thing in Vancouver or Toronto, this menu will easily cost you over $300, where they are only asking $125 for the tasting menu with 5 courses. I honestly don’t know how are they making money with with high quality food let alone rent and labour costs. Honestly please see beyond the numbers. The people behind this puts into incredible amount of work to bring this experience to the people from all over the place. Respect is the least we can do. I really appreciate everything tonight, it was incredible. Thank you! Aidan

Beautiful meal and experience. Service was amazing and the food really lived up to the hype. They were super accommodating of some of our food restrictions (a vegan, a dairy allergy) and no one felt left out. Love the snacks served around the three course menu, it was a delight seeing what came to the table next. Worth the price, reviewers on here complaining don’t appreciate what it takes to craft meals like this. Portions are small but you will be full by the end of the night don’t worry.

We dined at the restaurant and had an amazing experience. We sat at the bar (highly recommend) and watched the action in kitchen first hand. Chef Warren and his crew run a tight ship and it was impressive to see. Service was impeccable and the food was world-class. If you’re in that area it’s a must. Highly recommend.

We stayed and dined at Pluvio for the first time for our elopement weekend in May and it did not disappoint. Lily was so accommodating especially when we had to shift our dates of our stay and our dinner, luckily there was still vacancy and she was great to answer my inquiries. The rooms were so bright, open, spacious and comfortable, overlooking the quaint garden at the back. We also loved the complimentary homemade breakfasts in the fridge, as we had our ceremony very early the next morning, it was just what we needed. The dining experience at dinner was one of the best we've ever had. Lily, Warren and the entire team were so wonderful and attentive. The food and cocktail were amazing, nothing but very clean plates and smiles all around from our group the entire evening. To this day we still talk about the dining experience. We really appreciate the intimacy the owners and team at Pluvio create for their guests and diners and it was the perfect place to kick-start our first full day as a married couple. We will most definitely be back!

Amazing dinner and cozy decor. The staff was lovely and incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. The food and wine were amazing with a focus on local, sustainable and fresh ingredients. The wine list is excellently curated and full of natural/low intervention wine from BC and elsewhere. Highly recommend going and savoring the flavors! Can’t wait to go back during storm season since the interior is very cozy.

This place is amazing. Had the pescatarian and vegetarian chefs tasting menu. Every single item we ate was a hit. Not one weak dish. Super super impressed. Probably one of the best meals we’ve ever had in BC and well worth checking out if you like fancy thoughtful food. I wish I lived closer so I could come again. As a vegetarian I appreciated the care to developing dishes that didn’t rely on boring veggie tropes. I was surprised and delighted by the food. Also loved the ceramics they use and the plating (which I normally don’t really care about) did stand out. Good job.

If there's one thing that this establishment gets right besides excellent food is - Hospitality. From the onset, we were greeted by our names and were shown to our seat in the most politest yet unprentetous manner. The staff was extremely personable and made the whole experience very intimate in an already a very intimate town. The food was carefully curated with a lot of passion and heart and every dish had a good balance where quality of fresh ingredients truly shined. We had celebrated a birthday milestone and couldn't have picked a better venue to do so. We will likely stay a night or two on our next visit but I would highly regard this place as one of the top picks in all of BC. Highly recommend

Overall a nice place to visit in Ucluelet, cozy atmosphere and great service. We had a chance to try “chef’s five-course tasting menu” but unfortunately not all of the courses were well balanced. Eating a very fatty veal cheeks right before a super cheesy cheddar waffle does not seem the most harmonious selection.

What an incredible and thoughtful dining experience! We visited during our honeymoon and were presented with a congratulations card signed by staff, and a Polaroid was taken during dinner to capture the memory. The staff and service were top notch. The food was innovative and amazing to match. Thank you to Lily and the team at Pluvio for such a fantastic evening. We will be back :)

Guests will discover very quickly that customer service is at the heart and soul of Pluvio. The rooms are spacious, the decor modern and tasteful. I was skeptical of the “cold breakfast provided” but these are delicious, healthy and better than most restaurant served meals in my experience. And of course the food in the restaurant is extraordinary and the wine pairings were spot on. We look forward to our next visit.

Wow! We only ate at Pluvio (we didn’t stay) but were blown away! We had a table looking at the kitchen. It was a joy to watch the team of chefs working together to produce such incredible food. We went for the tasting menu with wine pairing and it was superb. Definitely worth going if you can get a table!

This place is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever been to. The attention to detail is phenomenal. I love how they work with other local businesses (coffee, cosmetics, decor). Feels very communal and supportive. Breakfast that’s included is delicious. Such a beautiful place with amazing people! We will definitely be back.
