We stayed here for one night over the labor day weekend. Surprised that we were able to get a room and the affordable prices. Value for money and a wonderful escape from the city. This is truly a gem as we've come across a lot of places under 1.5 hours from Toronto. The land is so well maintained, plenty of open spaces that it feels like you're the only ones there. From yoga spaces, massage chairs, plenty of hidden seating areas, neighborhood hikes and a small freshwater waterfall pond (took a post run ice bath!). Rooms were clean, spacious and big beds with clean towels. Only thing to know is you'll share a bathroom upstairs with other guests. Cynthia was a lovely host who stopped to say hi and chat, but also gave you space. The morning two course breakfast and vibe was akin to staying at a friend's parents' cottage - comfortable (help yourself to tea) and respectful (no shoes in the house). I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get their dose of 'forest bathing' yet not feel it's too tough to drive out far.

We stayed at this lovely bed&breakfast for one night( we were going to the Orono fair to see Blue Rodeo) . Cynthia was a great host! She showed us the grounds, which were very nice to wander. The room was huge with a king bed and private patio to relax on. She even served us our breakfast back there ! Such a great time!!! I know there was so much more to do as well ! There's a yoga studio (a couple actually) Massage chairs, and you can go swimming in her very branch of the Ganaraska river! Must stay there again!!!

Tucked in the heart of nature, this beautiful spot is an enchanting bed and breakfast offering unparalleled serenity. This hidden gem welcomed us into a sanctuary of peace, where recharging our spirit became effortless. This is the place where tranquility and natural beauty converge, and offered us an unforgettable experience. Plenty to keep one occupied with well thought out amenities to assist in relaxation, and of course, the river dip! We will be back!! Thank you Cynthia, Chris and Sarah!

I share every comment made previously! This is a very nice and calm place where only birds can be heard. I rode around Lake Ontario with my motorcycle and stopped here on the first night. I didn't regret my choice and could rest very well. I also had a thorough massage in one of the chairs provided for customers! This place is one hour away from Toronto downtown and is a very good and more affordable alternative to overpriced hotels in Toronto!

I enjoyed this retreat immensely hosted by the amazing Cynthia and Chris along with their healthy and delicious food. The massage chair was very enjoyable and the yoga was so enlightening. I cried tears of joy after releasing so much unhealthy tension. The most special experience was the signature massage and reiki Cynthia did on me. She is very knowledgeable and so intuitive which was very helpful to me. Go to this retreat and you will not be sorry!

Lovely stay. Beautiful site with lush vegetation, ponds (one of which has a beaver), little waterfall, and birds. Breakfast was delicious. Cynthia was lovely.

We had a wonderful time at Rising Spirit. Cynthia was a fantastic host, the food was delicious, the room was lovely, and bed was comfortable. But on top of an excellent B+B experience, there was so much more to do and explore on the property! We had fun watching salmon jump and swim in the river, loved wandering around in the forest, and enjoyed the ponds, labyrinth, and meditation tepee. The high end massage chairs in the spa building were a really nice offering as well. We found lots to do in the local area too, including wineries, breweries, golf, hiking, and some other neat tourist attractions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing time away.
