Went on a chartered diving tour through port hardy last year. Phenomenal experience and Sean was an excellent guide (and has a great name as well!).

Had a great dive with Sean, loved the elevator on the boat and we saw an ocean sunfish (mola mola) everyday! Would definitely dive with them again :)

I had an absolutely amazing series of dives with Sean on our Port Hardy trip this weekend. Both Sean and Shellie were very accommodating. Sean is an excellent captain, had lots of funny stories, and was on the ball when it came to all the local dive sites. Our drops were spot on, and his local knowledge of the sites a huge asset, it helped make the dives even better. The dive elevator on the boat was certainly a luxury too! This will definitely be a yearly trip for me. On top of all the awesome dives we also got to see a small pod of Orcas that came upon us while we geared up in a secluded bay out of the wind. Truly an amazing experience! If you're thinking about a Port Hardy dive trip, don't even hesitate just call Sean and Shellie and book.

I enjoyed my dry suit certification experience with UB Diving. Sean is a total pro and made sure we felt comfortable the entire time. Looking forward to coming back and doing more diving!

Sean and Shellie and their team are unreal. I've been so lucky that I've gotten to dive with them for almost a decade. Sean will do everything he physically can to help you have an amazing dive, an amazing time on the boat, an amazing day. Shellie makes sure you're taken care of before you even get on the boat, and definitely keeps Sean in check. They make you feel so welcome, safe and ready for adventure. We first met Sean and Shelly when they had the shop in Union Bay about 15 years ago. We ending up going to Union Bay to buy a lot of our dive gear over the years. We recommend their dive company to anyone we meet that wants to dive on Vancouver Island. They have amazing customer service. Will continue to send people their way. My wife and I did our open water and advanced open water course here as well as a dive charter out of Campbell river. I have to say all the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Our dive instructors were awesome to learn from and dive with and the charters were beautiful and the boats diver “elevator” made getting back in a breeze! 10/10 service!!

Excellent, we just spent a weekend up at Gods Pocket with Sean and Shellie from UB diving. Simply excellent , Sean is a brilliant captain who knows the tricky waters in that area like the back of his hand, it’s his playground! and man what a playground, clearly the Mola Mola like UB diving as much as we do, we saw these rare creatures every day! Crazy…. Look no further for an excellent way to see some of the incredible diving beneath BC waters … thanks S & S !

I had a fantastic time with UB Diving on their Port Hardy charter this past weekend. Shellie was great to chat with to plan and organize the trip by answering any questions we had, making sure we had the gear we couldn’t bring with us on the flight or even, maybe, perchance forgot, and letting me know what to expect up in Port Hardy, including recommendations regarding accommodations. I was ready for the weekend before leaving their store in Courtenay. Sean is amazing on the boat! He is very open, straight forward, and eager to deliver the best diving for you from any gear issues you may have in that moment on the boat to watching the schedule for currents and making suggestions for dive locations and sites. They also have a photographer that works with them and he was on the charter available to give tips for taking photos in green water. With international travel being an uncertainty due to Covid-19, visiting the Island with UB Diving is on my plans for the next year or two!
