The atmosphere and the aesthetic of this restaurant makes a fantastic spot for a romantic dining experience. Greeting staff welcomed us and we were seated right away. Try to make reservations as this spot gets pretty busy and they book up quickly (which is a good thing). I have no complaints and only good reviews on the service from start to finish. Our server was good pleasant and made great recommendations. Not once was my glass of water close to being empty! Further, our drinks and food were delivered very quickly and most of the tables were full. There’s a good variety on their food menu and even more so for their drink menu with a wine selection for days. Wine lovers must try! Our meal was fantastic! We were given bread to start. Pricier but the taste, presentation and portion size is there. I highly recommend this location and this will definitely not be my last! Thank you!

This is one of the best restaurants we have recently visited. We went there on a Friday evening and they were packed shortly after6 PM. I would highly recommend you make a reservation before visiting or else the wait could be very long. The service and food were both fantastic. We just came back from Italy and felt they offer some rather authentic Italian food. The mozzarella cheese wasn’t as fresh as we had hoped but then it isn’t easy to find fresh mozzarella in smaller cities since mozzarella cheese usually should be eaten the day after they were made. Overall I think this place deserves a 4.5 if I have the option.

Oops…up a dress size! The food here is so amazing, full of flavours. The portions are huge too, we had to take some away in a box for tomorrow’s dinner. The decor is lovely, like being in an Italian courtyard. There’s a good wine list plus service is excellent. We couldn’t manage desert, tempting as they were.

Visited this place while we were in town as recommended by a friend. Upon reading a number of reviews, we ordered a seafood pasta and a calamari since we were feeling still half-full from lunch. They gladly accommodated our request for substituting mussels for more of other kinds of seafood. We were amazed at how everything tasted so fresh, from the focaccia and olives to the pasta! Especially the pasta was simply the best seafood pasta I have ever had (remember we were not too hungry to begin with..)! We loved it was tomato-based rather than oil-based, and the prawns and scallops were cooked to perfection. An added bonus was that our server, Marissa, was incredibly friendly and made us feel comfortable the entire time.

Pros: Romantic atmosphere, generous portions. The seafood linguine was rich and delicious. Good wine list. Cons: You literally have to sign a waiver just to get a reservation online (I've eaten all over the world and never see that). It sets a tone of, "you're lucky to even eat here," and that was sure reflected in the inattentive service. We didn't even get a place to put our seafood shells, so just piled them on the side of the bowl. Our cocktails were completely lacking finesse (my watery old-fashioned was made with a scoop of small ice cubes, if that tells you anything), and the ingredients used in our caprese salad tasted like something you'd buy at Safeway. It was all *fine,* nothing terrible by any means, but for what we paid, we were deeply disappointed. Our experience at Finns was far, far superior. Would not return.

Was a bit disappointed with the food given the good reviews I saw. We ordered the dish with lamb rack/duck confit/beef tenderloin. The lamb was good but on the saltier end. The duck confit and the beef tenderloin didn't have much flavour and all the taste came from the sauce, which was really salty. The dish was on the pricier end ($40) so that compounded the disappointment. Maybe their pastas are better 😅

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Il Terrazzo. Considering how big the seating is, the place was packed yet we didn’t feel rushed or crammed in. The atmosphere was very inviting. Our bread and oil were so yummy and soft, and the crushed olives were a nice add. Everything was perfect, though I will say I was pleasantly surprised by the choice of mango in my linguine Marco. Would definitely come back.

I booked this well in advance for my husband's birthday dinner. It was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised. It's a beautiful cozy place to celebrate a special occasion. The service was bang on, food served was delicious and real quick- we ordered and the food was on the table in 10 mins, beautiful presentation and the portion was huge and filling. They serve complimentary breads with a dip and it was so so so good( I am in love with their olive dip). I requested them if they can do anything special for my husband and they happily agreed and got a nice plated flour less chocolate cake with a candle and that really surprised my husband( I paid for the cake, though). Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

This is an amazing place! Food was increíble and their Tiramisu is the best I have ever tried. We went to celebrate our anniversary and the athmosphere was perfect. I will absolutely come back to try something new each time. This time I had the Pollo Appollonia and it was delicious. Thank you Maria José and Dean, you made us feel very welcome!

A local legend in Victoria with a rich history. Haven’t been here in 20 years but it’s every bit as good. Generous portions and fair prices. The fresh made focaccia bread and olive tapenade are a wonderful start to the meal. Ambiance is great and super friendly servers. Very busy and booked out far in advance.

This is a really restaurant! The interior was just stunning. Though it was night I was reminded of an old cathedral with stained glass. We were seated quickly and our server was very kind and courteous. He even waited for one of our members to finish her phone call. The food prices were quite expensive. Especially dishes that sounds quite common in the area. It's even cheaper in Vancouver. The food itself was good. But if was too salty. I could taste the sodium sticking to my tongue. I spent the entire night drinking lots of water and going to the bathroom. We didn't get to try, but they had desserts that were apparently quite popular. The chocolates. Excellent place, I would recommend coming. But try not to order too much since it was also on the heavier side.

It's one of our favorite spots in Victoria! You MUST come here at least once during your stay in Victoria. The food, service, and atmosphere are always top-notch, and we always have a great time. Try it and you won't be disappointed!

This is place is fantastic. Firstly, the service was on point from the start, offering suggestions and almost checking in on us. Second, the food was amazing. The food was delicious with portions larger than you would expect. Every bite was a treat. Lastly the atmosphere had the feel of a busy Italian restaurant in Italy with chatter and sound of wine being poured in the background. Would suggest you reserve your place far ahead of time as this place gets extremely busy and full during the weekends. Highly recommend!

A must experience. From the atmospheric 100 year old building to the friendly wait staff to the well executed menu- there are no cons to this place. Food came hot and fast. Our table tried 2 kinds of cannelloni followed by dessert. Even the bread and tapenade starter was outstanding. Managed to show up early and get a table but this place was packed, even on a Sunday night- so consider making a reservation.

By far the best italian food we had outside of Italy so far! Great ambiente inside, nice heated patio & absolutely phenomenal service with good recommandations without trying to sell anything on the card. Thanks for an amazing dining experience on our stop in Victoria!

Such a lovely dining experience. We had a reservation on a Monday night and I’m glad we did because it seemed quite busy. The atmosphere was dimly lite, romantic, and overall a wonderful dining experience. Our waitress was very informative and able to help us decide on food and wine. Ended up with the Grigliata di carne and an order of the meatballs with pesto. Both were cooked to perfection! I would absolutely visit here again if in the area.

Be sure to book a table at least a week in advance if you need a certain time! Very attentive waiters, they offered to add water at least 5 times😏the most comfortable atmosphere, even though the flyers are sitting close, everyone speaks quietly and everything is very personal. Only the kitchen upset us, maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, since there are no photos of dishes on the menu. This place deserves another visit at least for pizza tasting☺️

This was my second time dining at II Terrazzo and it was just as good as the first! Cozy and inviting atmosphere, the service was top notch. I ordered the seafood pasta and it was a generous portion and had excellent flavour. Will be back next time I’m in Victoria :)

What a great find, hidden away in a back alley in Victoria, the food was great and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, tables are spaced enough that your not having to listen to overbearing conversations at the next table. Service was a bit slow, and we felt neglected at times. I understand that it's tough to find good service in the hospitality sector these days. Hopefully, this will not be a forever thing. I would still recommend giving this place a try, and I would not hesitate to return.

We didn't have a reservation so sat at the bar. Our server/bartender was great. The sommelier was also super helpful. The food was delicious- even the complimentary tapenade was amazing. Would definitely go back
