It's so great to see an all-vegan restaurant that dates back to 1990. I tried the buffet, which charges by weight and has some delicious options. The staff were very nice and there was ample seating both inside and out. The water dispenser was helpful, too. I'll definitely come back.

Have heard of this for a very long time. I've finally had an opportunity to visit since I moved to Victoria. Wow, if you are vegan or macro, this place should be an everyday go-to for basic amazing meals. The soup was awesome. An amazing selection of desserts and selections from the modified buffet style service were amazing as well. I heard a lot of great things about the pizza. Will have to come back.

This is an excellent vegan buffet style restaurant where you pay by weight for hot food and pay per item for the desserts. Everything I had was delicious and I wish I could go here everyday! The cashier was so nice and patient while I was deciding between all the delicious things. They also have vegan ice cream and make your own pizza. Muffins, cakes, cookies, rice crispies. Highly recommend!

Fabulous! Honestly fabulous. Terrific food served by welcoming people for value prices. I'm not vegetarian but I would happily be if all vegetarian food was like this. So many places claim home made ice-cream but this is the real McCoy. I've eaten a reasonable quantity of ice-cream in my life and if I would make 1 suggestion it's that the freezer temperature is either raised or a tempering freezer is used. The server struggled to form the scoops. If the ice-cream hadn't been so delicious I'd have done the sensible thing and waited for it to warm up but Victoria in June that would have taken longer than I was prepared to wait.

This is my go to restaurant whenever I’m in town! I absolutely love their wide variety of dishes, especially their bbq tempeh and delicious curries! Also, their desserts and ice cream is a must try; you’ll find sugar free options like chocolate mousse cake, brownies, etc. I can’t believe this is all vegan!

I love this place - it's my favourite cafe in Victoria. Amazing, tasty, healthy, and fresh options for vegan & vegetarian food: salads, soups, and hot food buffet priced based on weight. The veg and potato fritters are the best, and the soft focaccia bread melts in your mouth. They have many options for juices, sugar free desserts (brownies, carrot cake, mint non-nanaimo bars) and even gelato! Ambiance is nice - big windows with natural light facing the view of Victoria's market square, and they have wifi access. The staff was very friendly, especially the guy who organized the slow coffee tasting. Thank you so much for the tea sample! I'll be back with friends. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, did not have the best experience with the lady who was assisting at the buffet counter. She almost seemed liked she didn’t want to assist me. Not sure if it was the hot temperature or she was just having a bad day. She almost seemed rude until at the end when she asked if I’d like to tip and I offered 15% tip. She then looked up surprised and finally told me to enjoy my lunch. The food was okay. I wouldn’t want to visit again because I didn’t feel welcomed. Hope everyone else have a better experience than I did.

Take out delicious vegan pastries. We went back and tried their rocky road cookie and peanut butter blondie. The cookie was a little dry but the carrot cake and blondie were moist and super tasty!

Food is good. I was expecting a wider selection. There were some issues, though: 1. Despite my request, I've not got a receipt; only a customized bill. I believe that this is an offense on the business side. 2. The prices are not displayed clearly, and they are not on the internet either. Prices are fair, but the per weight ones is no transparency. As of Sat, Feb 17, 2024, here is my charges, just to help other prospective customers: $29.50 per kg ($10.18 per 0.345 kg plate tare 0.28). Other prices are displayed clearly: Small soup $3.75 Cake $4.20 3. The place is small, and I found myself standing with my tray, till someone finished up. No one managed this, which I consider as a poor service. In fact, since clients take away their own trays and dishes, there is no real service involved.

A very different flavorful and unique experience. The Pad Thai was nothing like i had eaten before and so were the spicy peanut and thai curry noodles. Ginger - Rice pudding like desert nailed it for me. It would great to have franchise in Toronto whereabouts as soon as possible 😊

Worth the effort to find this tucked away gem! It’s located in a court yard that is not readily viable from the street. Your usual pay by weight crunchy granola buffet-style restaurant ;-) But it’s good quality, not too expensive and tasty. They are pretty good with their takeout containers which are almost all biodegradable. Friendly service and costumers. We were in Victoria only for a few days and went three times. Vegan and vegetarian options.

Wow! Such a good restaurant. Food was so good and for a such a good price! Bf and i both got a big plate full of food and 2 bottled drinks, and paid $30. Was expecting less quality food for it being a buffet style restaurant but I was so shocked by how yummy everything was

Great food but a bit pricey

Food tastes good...I’ve eaten here numerous times. Service is often lacking tho. Why not open both tills when it’s busy? I’ve learned not to come here after 5:30 pm. The line up becomes long and slow with only one till open. I’m hoping constructive criticism will help... I don’t mind asking to have ‘quite’ a dirty table (slow hours, not busy) to be wiped down...but when the server just pushed the dirt around the salt and pepper shakers without bothering to lift them up and leaving the mess for me to sit at to try and enjoy the $22.00 meal I treated myself to...well now they’ve got another 2 star review.

I have eaten at Green Cuisine every day that I have been in Victoria. In fact I have been in Victoria 3 days and eaten there 4 times! I came alone twice, brought two friends and my father. In fact when I return to Victoria I will be back! Everything I have had at the buffet is delicious, the staff are amazing in fact I have a crush on one of them. The setting is serene, located quaintly in the southeast corner of the market square. The price is reasonable, considering how you get to decide your portions and the food is delicious. I have said this to many people...Green Cuisine is my fsvourite restaurant in the world! This is a great spot for vegans, vegetarians, omnivores and breathtarians alike! All diets welcome. When you go just tell them that Noah sent you! The third photo is not of the food, rather it demonstrates how happy I am before, during and after eating here!

A friend told me about this place and it's incredible! Even if you're not vegan or vegetarian, I encourage a visit here! Pay by weight on plate means you can try lots of little bits of many things (which I did!). So healthy, delicious and flavourful..super thrilled with so many gluten free options!.

One of my favourite vegan restaurants in Victoria! Green Cuisine always offers fresh, healthy and satisfying vegan buffet options, including delicious desserts. The food tastes homemade and I love that the menu rotates regularly so I can try new things each time I go.

SO good. There’s a label on all the foods on the ingredients so you can take friends with intolerances / allergies too! The food was so good and felt really healthy. Will come again with more friends! Wish there were more tables though as sometimes I worry of not getting a seat when it’s busier

The food was amazing! My wife 15 month old, and myself ate a ton of food for $40 CAD. Totally worth it. So many different flavors. The deserts were vegan and AMAZING. Want to come back just for the ice cream!!! Definitely worth it for anyone

A wide array of vegan options, some of which fall a little short of the mark in terms of their recipes and production. The food is all very well labeled, but leans toward old-school hippie v*gan - think moosewood and it's precursors. Pay by weight which can make it a bit pricey depending on what you get.

This was one of the most memorable restaurants I've ever been to. I was visiting Victoria for three days and went to green cuisine 5 times. Their food blew me away, and so did the homemade kombucha. There were so many things available that I would never had thought to try. I can't wait to go back!

One of a kind! They offer so much : hot+cold buffet, soups, corn bread, treats, juices, THE BEST TEMPEH, etc. And it is all quite good! Except the one time I got an Americano there. (Just go to nearby Hey Happy for espresso based drinks.)

The supplier of my daily work week soup lunches and cornbread for almost two years. Great treats as well. 🌱

Excellent PIZZA menu, besides the buffet of mains, salads, rice paper rolls, soups, desserts; the chiller full of products (sauerkraut, tofu, tempeh, amasake, etc.); and sweet squares, muffins and hot drinks. Open during Covid lockdown for takeout and delivery. I’ve had two of their pizzas so far, the pesto and the pico de gallo - both delicious.

I am so grateful to still be able to enjoy the incredible offerings of Green Cuisine with their own delivery system. The food is, as always, so tasty, nutritious and excellent value for money especially given the diversity of flavours, ingredients and high quality products. Not only that, all the packaging is compostable! ?? Thank you Andy and all the team for your hard work and passion for healthy food and continuing to share this with our community even in these challenging times. My dinner from Green Cuisine continues to be the highlight of my week! ??

Best vegetarian restaurant in town. Not only is the food here amazing and affordable but Green Cuisine ask as a beacon of community in Victoria. My advice to first time goers is to go easy on the vegetables if you don’t want your plate to cost too much and to plan ahead. I have seen the odd mouse running around which is my only complaint.

Excellent food, the proportions are completely up to you as it is a buffet style meal. Excellent selection for vegans and vegetarians. Price is calculated by weight for the most part, unless you’re getting specialty desserts meals, corn bread or other select items.

Their salads are so affordable since they don't weigh a lot and their dressing are phenomenal!

I absolutely love the Green Cuisine. They have large variety of delicious and healthy foods, as well as desserts, hot drinks, ice cream, you name it. All 100% vegan and at incredible value. This place is really great! All the food is delicious and really good prices too. The staff were very kind, and I felt very comfortable eating there with my one year old as they have a spot which has some toys. I find it rare to find a place that has really good vegan/vegetarian food and is comfortable to eat at with an active toddler. Relaxed, chill atmosphere.

Soup was okay, rest f the food was so so and barely warm. For the price I'll try somewhere else. It's nice inside though.

They have worked out a very good COVID-safe system where they dish up for you. Everything is contactless and very hygienic. They do still offer dine-in, though, which is great! If you are unfamiliar, it's not an all-you-can-eat buffet- you pay per weight, so it can get quite pricey if you want to try everything. I ended up paying just under 10 dollars for a small box full (but it was FULL) and then another 7 or so for dessert. My favourite items were the spinach artichoke lasagna, the tempeh in mushroom gravy and the mango gelato, but I enjoyed many different dishes! I loved the amount of choices for different flavour preferences. If you go, you MUST try the mango gelato. I am a gelato connassuoier (self-proclaimed) but it is THE BEST I have ever had. I would highly recommend the gelato for dessert, because I wasn't such a fan of the other desserts. They had lots of tarts and slices and things, but they were just ok. You could tell they were vegan, and I wouldn't spend my money on it when there is so much other good food. Overall, it's a great stop for quick, fresh vegan food for people like me who can never decide on just 1 dish for lunch or dinner!

Food was delicious, the girl serving me was really friendly and the price was reasonable Only qualm I have is that not at all foods are a part of the weighed buffet menu. I had to pay for my bread and my Chilli (which was for some reason classed as a soup) as separate priced items (although the foccacia bread was a bargain to be fair). Not a fancy place, but I prefer the rustic types anyway

I love this place for homestyle vegan meals. It's a little pricey but the service is fantastic, they keep everything very clean and the food is absolutely delicious, so it's pretty worth it in the end.

My husband and I went on Sunday for the first time and we were not disappointed. The food was so good and an excellent variety. You pay by weight so I was a bit apprehensive on how much it was going to cost, but we had lots of food as well as yummy dessert and it was no more than previous restaurants we have been to. We were so impressed and we will definitely be back.

Visited this restaurant with my mom. I am not vegetarian but wanted to detox from meet when I was in Victoria. So far, so good. I was surprised by the level of quality and value I got—nice, clean and tasty food. Especially I liked pizza with mushrooms and blueberry cake (warm desert).

Amazing selection of vegan treats and food through a buffet experience with friendly staff. The food fell flat for me as I felt it tasted bland or over spiced. The ingredients also seemed lower quality which makes sense for a buffet. Would recommend for vegans who enjoy more processed and larger meals.

This place has amazing vegan food for cheap! The assortment is amazing! Their praline brownies are some of the best I've ever had and I very much love their falafels. Seeing as it is a buffet style restaurant, some dishes are better than others and I have had some instances of food being cold (potato wedges in particular). Other than that, this place is a must for any vegans in Victoria!

Nice selection of food but I found most of it to be lacking in flavour! It also was a bit more expensive than I anticipated. On the other hand, I can see why this would be a great spot if you want to eat vegan/veg. Personally, I don’t have any great desire to return.

Both times eating here have been great! The buffet style allows you to really customize what you are eating, and each item is clearly labeled including ingredients. My personal favorites are the sesame noodles, taro and yam fritters, and the falafels, but everything we have tried here has been tasty! And for $1.30, I’ve never before enjoyed such a delicious piece of cornbread! Will be back next time we are in Victoria :)

The staff is amazing and always has great suggestions and they enjoy answering questions about the food offerings. The desserts are incredible. All this and it's gluten-free and vegan. I love the food in this place. Its tasty, and very good quality (their pizzas are godly). I primarily eat take out because I don't like eating there (cramped to eat indoors, fine if eating in courtyard). The only sad thing is that I can't eat there anymore, it's too expensive. It was expensive even before prices went up Canada-wide for everything, but I could afford to go once in a while. Now I just can't budget it in. I don't blame them, (and you shouldn't either). Prices have to go up to maintain quality (and to pay employees well). Anyway, thanks for the good food Green Cuisine, I'll miss it.
