I went to this zoo with my boyfriend. The signs were in French and English. And we got a poutine at the restaurant it was delicious!! The animals seemed very well taken care of and in the winter we were provided blankets on the train/vehicle ride. It was an amazing time! Definitely going back in the summer!

This is probably the best zoo that we have ever been! The animals looked happy and enjoyable in here. Happy to see that they have been taken good care of! So many animals and in great shape! We loved everything! The train tour with so many bears, bisons, deers, prairie dogs, muskox, horses, and moose! The beaver 🦫 lodge, the polar bears, arctic fox, bald eagle 🦅, do very cool!! Enjoyed watching the bears being fed also!

I've seen a lot of zoo in my life but I will say this one is ont the top 5 of all of them if you going close to st-felicien it a must do activity cost around 89 for two adult + staff was kind and helpful + animal seem to enjoy and they are not all squeeze together + you can see the animal very close +the place seem to be well maintain +it is wheelchair accessible + there is a restaurant where you eat eat and enjoy a good lunch a bit pricey but normal for this kind of place + there is a bus/train available at the end of the park if you need a stroller for your kid they got you cover

As far as animal is concerned, it was okay. It does have Polar bear, Grizzly bear, red panda etc. Train ride is about an hr long. Too bad guidance only in French.... However, for a zoo, the Scenery is very beautiful.

Such a lovely place 💕. It's a big zoo . One can expect to spend a good 5 to 8 hours with family. The road train is a must do activity. It takes you through a mini safari and can see animals in their natural habitat. The bears were a sight to see and so big!. Afterward we spent most of the time on foot exploring the zoo. The zoo is beautifully designed. The boardwalks criss cross around the animal enclosures so you can see tigers , monkeys , birds , camels , horses, polar bears in close vicinity. There is also a small animal petting Zoo , and water fountains great for kids! Photographer TIP- Advise you bring a 100-400mm lens or any zoom lens , I got to take amazing shots in the train and on foot. Enjoy!

Very nice place where to spend a day for kids and grown-ups alike. The zoo is divided into a more "traditional" area at the entrance, where you walk on a path through different animals' enclosures and a larger area, where animals roam freely and people go through on a little electric train with grates on the windows. It's a great experience that allows to see many animals real close but in their natural habitat. Too bad the long commentary audio on the train is in French only. Before getting on, we were told that we would be able to ask questions to the staff, but there's no staff on the train apart from the conductor. Anyway, we wete happy to have a chance to see two bears (taking a bath on a hot summer day), buffalos, red pandas, and many many more.

Such an amazing place! The train ride is a unique experience, absolutely a must. There are many animals to see in all other areas. The zoo is also an opportunity to see the striking and severe boreal forest up close. I also really appreciated the kids area with the water games and mini farm - it's a great place to have a picnic or an ice cream. There are also picnic tables (some with roofs) throughout the zoo, so it's easy to take a break. Overall, a must see in Lac Saint-Jean area.

Sehr schöner weitläufiger Park mit freilaufenden Tieren. Die Bären zum greifen nah. Man wird durch den Park in einem sicheren wagen gefahren und kann sich in Ruhe alle Wildtiere anschauen.

Adult ticket: 47,99$ *Time: 3-4hours Thé zoo was an amazing experience, I high recommend that you go ealry and the first thing you do is the free train towards the end of the zoo first to start off since the ride highly Entertaining and enjoyable! You are meet with a train car that takes you on a 1hour ride around the whole back of the park to explore the beautiful free Roaming animals and breathtaking nature ! After that feel free to explore the rest of the part and take your time to read the info and observe the animals while doing so! One of the funniest zoo I’ve been in ! 10/10 recommended

It’s a best place to go! Sunday 11am Must do: Take a train safari! It’s 1 hour tour. It was crowded. We didn’t find a train schedule. We had came 12.20pm and took only 3nd train at 1.05pm. Restaurant is good. View is perfect. There is a salad bar but we took a hot meal. 2 different soups were good. Burger and French fries where good too. We took a casserole with potato and different meats like “Greek musaka” with salad. - Not very testy but acceptable. 2 free beverages. About 60$ for 3 persons.

Beautiful zoo, but...! We visited the zoo in late august 2020. This zoo is really beautiful with big enclosures for the animal in a forest setting. The highlight of our day was the train wich was amazing. BUT I would not return before they find a vaccine for covid. I took the commute in Montreal, I went to various stores and sincerely it was the less safe I felt in a long time. The zoo made changes like social distancing markers in front of the enclosures but no one follows them (people stand less than a feet from each other) and no one is wearing a mask (except from staff). I know it is not the zoo's fault, they did good by desinfecting the trains and everything, but maybe if some of the employees would remind people to follow the social distancing guidelines, especially during the presentation about the animals, I think it would make the visit even better. Anyway if you worry about covid-19 maybe don't go there right now, otherwise it's worth the trip.

The place is really good, we saw all the animals as advertised and they look really good. The journey on the train is a must or your missed half of the animals. Maybe you should start your exploration with that as the last train leaves by 3:30 pm. Is am giving 3 🌟 because they did not make a paper maps available, so if you are an old school as I am, you will have a lot of trouble navigating. Another reason is that the food is horrible, don't take a chance and bring your food with you or you will regret it. So if you have no issues with downloading the maps and you bring your own food, it will be a 5 🌟 experience. I recommend this place for a family visit

This zoo is simply put, amazing. We saw every animal there was to see but one(grizzly bear) it was moved to make the acclimatation process of their new lynx easier. You have to walk alot but that is expected of a zoo, there is wheelchair access everywhere so its young family friendly. I suggest finishing the zoo with the train ride (lasts around an hour). Protip: some animals only come out during feeding times,so if you want to see cougars watch the time

This zoo is a kind of place where most of the time the visitors are in a cage and that's a good thing :) We enjoyed our ride with the train, seeing the animals sometimes up close, the scenery was amazing and the little description of life in Canada a couple of centuries back was interesting. In the zoo part probably we managed to see all animals, including the tiger, with the little exception the arctic fox. This was an afternoon very well spent! (Unfortunately we missed the feeding times).

My first time visiting the Zoo and it was so amazing! We enjoyed and had fun taking pictures of the animals. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. They explained very well about some animals that we’re not able to see as it is too hot for them to play outside! Public restrooms are very clean and strict with Covid-19 measures.

A nice hybrid kind of zoo. There is the boreal train that takes the visitors through the boreal eco-system, which is a kind of safari park-like experience. Like a conventional zoo, it also has animals from the tropical regions in enclosed settings.

  • 4/5 Ed L. 9 months ago on Google
One of the best zoos that I have ever visited in 72 years where the animals are well cared for in some of the most natural environment (as captive animals can be). Top marks to those behind this project and to the zoo staff and volunteers. Expensive. Cost $270 for a family of five plus a grandpa but everyone had a most enjoyable time here inc the train safari through the park.

Nice little zoo to visit. The map of the zoo is really well organized so one could easily follow the times when the animals were fed. The best part of the zoo is the train ride into the « open » zoo. All signage is bilingual, so don’t be put off is you are anglophone. However the train ride guides instructions and descriptions are only in French (although to be fair they might be able to cater to anglophones - we simply didn’t ask as we were fine with French).

It's the best zoo I've ever been to! The animals all look well & taken care of, the zoo itself was really big & there's a lot of that to do! I recommend doing the train (you're in a caged bus & animals are free around it) & watching out for when is the animals snack time. Snack time is your best chance of seeing all the different animals in action. The staff was really present & helpful. It's a pleasant all day activity for all ages

So many animals to see so little time. I wish the day was longer. Especially liked the nursery where i saw so many animal babies. Baby fox and skunk were too cute. Also the baby squirrel inside the incubator too cool for school. The stars of the place however were the red pandas. The mix between fox racoon and bear is rocking.

In September 2019, I spent one day in “Saint Felicien zoo”. According t o me, iIt is the most wonderful zoo in Quebec, and also probably in Canada The animals have very large and pleasant habitats, where they can walk, play and rest freely. I HIGHLY recommend to visit tis zoo, wherer I’ll come back with a great pleasure!

Great zoo! Expensive, but it’s for a good cause so it takes the sting off. Decent sized enclosures for the animals. It’ll never be as big as they truly need, but I’ve seen far worse. The highlight for me was the “train” ride, seeing the animals in a more natural habitat and the historical aspects.
