I had a great experience from start to finish on my first appointment at Supernova Salon today. The booking was easy and I lucked out with stylist Jessica at having a cancellation which worked to my favour. I felt very well taken care of from the moment I walked in, to the haircut and stylist recommended products. I will be scheduling a colour appointment with the same stylist. Thank you for a wonderful experience with customer satisfaction at the forefront of your business model. I’m happy to have found my new hair salon. 😃

Victoria is a Master stylist. She took my overgrown hair and tamed it with a beautiful structured cut. My hair feels light and has depth and dimension. My colour looks better after the cut! The front desk staff member was friendly and helpful. The retail section has a good range of products at various price points. Supernova is a well run and efficient salon and the drink service is a wonderful treat.

I took my time before writing this review because I wanted to make sure that I’m being fair to the senior hair stylist who cut my hair few months ago, I had a very long hair and cutting it was not an easy decision so I searched online for best salons in NV and Supernova Salon had good reviews, I checked the prices and although they were above my budget I didn’t think twice about that, I chose a senior stylist cause I assumed they’d have more experience and I could trust them, this was a big mistake, please don’t let the prices and titles fool you, higher prices and senior title doesn’t mean qualified hairdresser. First, I ended up with a shorter hair than I wanted but this may always be an issue between customers and hairdressers and I understand that but the biggest issue is that my haircut was uneven, I didn’t realize that until the following few days, and even though it was confirmed by some friends and family members, I still doubted myself and thought that maybe it was just because of layers, but I had haircuts with layers before and it was never like this, it s so bad that every time I walk by the salon, I regret the day I visited their website and booked an appointment. My hair is getting longer again and the issue is more apparent, it’s a shame that this presumably senior hair stylist is allowed to touch customers hair especially long one cause clearly he has no experience with that, he may be good at other things but surely not haircuts. While he was working on my hair he barely talked to me and I didn’t really mind that cause I thought he knew what he was doing and I just trusted him, please don’t make the same mistake, watch what they’re doing and if you see that something is wrong, speak up, I sensed that he was kinda of struggling with my hair but again I thought he was experienced and he’s just taking his time to do what he had to do, I paid 150$ and ended up rather frustrated with the result than happy with the new look, I certainly wouldn’t recommend this salon and will never go back there. I added a picture, we can see the problem but in reality it’s worse. Ps: I didn’t contact the salon after to complain because I don’t want to deal with them nor go back there again, the damage is done!

However, I did have some email conversations with the store (I didn't realize I could have just asked for the owner maybe cause I believed they did everything they could have done and I didn't wanna be difficult). They did set me up with a senior stylist Bella. She was great, she tried everything she could and she did make it a little better. But again they were short so there's only so much she could have done. I did ask for a compensation but that thought wasn't entertained. The only reason I wrote a review this late was because every now and then that memory just comes back and I just have relive it all over again. I had a very important event to attend at the time and the photos just remind of the chaos. I added pictures for reference as well. So I did try to reach out but the senior stylist was the only option I was given. And I believe it is my fault that I didn't ask for the store manager/owner straight up. But if you still have some suggestion for making this better I can always reconsider and change my mind. Actual Review: I honestly had high (but realistic) expectations after reading all the reviews. However, my haircut was anything but good. One side was cut too short than the other and the whole haircut was really sloppy. It was nothing better than what I could have done myself. Also most of the mess of a haircut I noticed after washing my hair. I told them about it so they tried to get a senior stylist to fix my hair but since it was already too short there was not much they could have done. I was highly disappointed cause this is not worth my $70. I got really bad reviews from my family and friends and I had no option but to wait for it to grow back. I am definitely never going back. Maybe my haircut was one of the exceptions but with the chaos that was my hair I was expecting a bit of a compensation. Either way they were friendly and approachable but with that amount of money you can find a better salon.

As per usual, Luke did an amazing hair cut! Always so professional and lovely to chat to. I've been going to him for years, and it's been a pleasure to see his skills develope and watch him blossom into an incredibly talented hairdresser!💛 Love this salon, always has the best atmosphere, service and people.

What a pleasure today! Everyone at the salon was warm and receptive and my stylist Lucas was awesome! Really listened and gave me advice on hair care and styling and I felt like I had a mini lesson on top of leaving with gorgeous cut/style! I'm so pleased. Thank you Supernova team! I'll be back 👍

James is lovely and great to chat to while he works!! He did a brilliant job with my hair from taking it shorter with perfect layers and cutting my bangs exactly how i’ve been wanting. Will absolutely be booking him again!

Gabby is great. Got a great haircut and colour. She is very professional, talented and personable. Listened to my needs and delivered the best. Had a fabulous experience at my first appointment. I will be booking Gabby for all my future hair needs and desires.
