Hands down THE most helpful skate shop (or any sporting shop) I’ve ever been to. Patient, relaxed, warm and just darn helpful. Audrey, Cheese and the entire LowLifeMtl team are so genuinely passionate and extremely knowledgeable about rollerskating. I bought my first pair of skates with them last summer, I was a total noob but they slowly explained everything to me and let me try on almost every style of skate just so I could feel them under my feet. Since then, I’ve purchased more skates and loads of wheels (socks, pads, jam plugs, laces etc) from them as I’ve increased my skill level and experience. Most recently Cheese helped me explore the right size for a pair of Roll Line Dance plates (short mount) for me and with a pair of custom Jack 1s, they mounted my dream skates with Better Bearing and Luminous Wheels. Audrey made sure to suggest they be short centered mounted and I just can’t wait to try them out!!! Thank you all for helping me fall in love with rollerdance!! I feel so grateful to have this local group of experts.

Went on a Sunday, it was busy! About 6 groups ahead of me, there were 2 associates helping people. Parking in the area was plentiful and free. I didn't realize roller skating was quite the popular comeback activity! Lots of items sell out quick! The store has more than what's online.

Excellent service! I got my custom vans roller skates built by the team at lowlife. They give expert advice and don't try to upsell when it's not necessary. They run amazing events and are very generous with donations to fundraisers and competitions. Shop dogs are a big bonus.

My favorite Montreal shop! They helped me find my dream skates! and to know my actual size for them, I'm extremely happy and grateful. Really friendly and awesome customer service all along! I had a blast and felt so welcomed. Also they have the cutest dogs. Can't wait to go back for more skating needs! Not the best photo but I love this store!

Lovely and knowledgeable staff, they took the time to show me all vegan skates options until I found the perfect skates for me! The dog, Robert is so sweet! I can’t wait to go back there and get more accessories!

This skate shop is the best one I’ve found in Canada. The owners were so patient with my questions and helped me find exactly what I needed. Plus it’s owned for skaters but skaters, so that’s good to support. Shop Lowlife.

Low life has incredibly kind, patient and knowledgeable staff. They really went the distance and installed some rental skate toe stops for reference since I wasn’t sure what they would feel like with my vans set up also installed the ones I picked. They also have a really impressive selection (even more than is on the website) and the store is beautifully designed and organized. I felt like a kid in a candy store and wanted (but certainly did not need ALL the things) 😅😂 Thanks low life! 🌈✨🛼

✨AMAZING ✨ I have ordered all of my skating supplies (excluding my skates themselves, not having discovered them yet) from Lowlifemtl, and have been so, so impressed with the experience. I like to order local, but my city doesn't have a rollerskating supply shop. I don't order from anywhere else at this point. Not only is they stock top tier and reasonably priced, their customer service is likewise: All of my orders have been shipped almost immediately, items arrived quickly, and the staff have been very thoughtful, including stickers and, on my second order, a free iron-on patch, which I attach to my skate boots. Further, their website is well designed and easy to navigate, which is important to me when checking for re-stocks or planning purchases. Overall, highly recommend. The products are great, the experience is great, and the staff+pets (by their social media) seem cool and knowledgable, being involved in the derby scene. 🖤

Adorable place, the man who helped me was super friendly and knowledgeable. They have skates, wheels, parts, helmets, replacement laces, and they offer repair services- pretty much everything you can think of that you might need. Will be visiting again :)

Every time I have been to Lowlife, I have had a great experience. * I appreciate being given quality advice from people who really take the time to figure out how they can help me, while never feeling like I am receiving a sales pitch, or pressured to buy anything. * I *especially* appreciate that I have never felt like my obvious amateurism and lack of knowledge is an issue - I feel completely welcomed and treated like as valued a customer as anybody else. * They have an amazing selection and I keep convincing myself I need to buy more things just to have an excuse to go :) * They provide service in English, French, and dog, making the environment even more welcoming & accessible. Thanks Lowlife, and shout out to Audrey who has helped me out several times and provided a stellar customer experience each time.

The employees were very helpful and nice when helping my roommate and I get fitted for skates, picking out the right wheels for beginners and helping us get fitted for the right sized helmets. Will visit again for sure.
