LBLR is a great place to stay. Right on the beach, there is an excellent restaurant, a hangout spot for drinks, snacks, and a game of pool, and the rooms are immaculate! I have been coming here consistently for the last three years in the Fall and have never always looked forward to my yearly trip.

Excellent service, location. We got to Tofino tired, ragged from a long trip and the unexpectedly blocked road, so we were starving and very disappointed to hear the hotel restaurant was booked up. Hugo worked some magic and found us a seat, we also got the same gentleman to serve as our waiter (I now forget his name), who was kind and solicitous. That was a theme for our 3 night stay. From the manager down, service was amazing, and we felt like guests at a lodge, not an impersonal hotel chain. Views of course are splendid, town is a short drive away, no complaints. We’ll back next time we’re in Tofino.

Had my favorite meal on all of Vancouver Island here! The views were amazing and highly recommend going to the Great room restaurant for sunset (make sure to get a reservation). The food was delicious and my favorite was the dessert! Highly recommend eating here during your time in Tofino!

I am a frequent visitor to Tofino, and a frequent visitor to Long Beach Lodge for meals. I stopped in for breakfast on the 9th of November, after previously having supper there on the 7th of November. In both cases, the service was excellent, and that was only overshadowed by how absolutely delicious the food was, and they had a selection of breakfast items that were palatable for my kids who can at times be quite picky eaters. The Dining room has an excellent atmosphere, both in the morning, and the evening, and the views are nothing short of stunning. I made the mistake of leaving a few personal items behind, and only realized it when I had driven a few hours away. I contacted the hotel, they had found my items, and express mailed them to me, no questions asked. I cannot speak high enough about the service. Thank you for a lovely couple of meals, and thank you very, very much for returning my items.

Oh man, this is definitely a great room! Not just the view but also the food! They definitely deserve a 5 star for their consistency and their delicious menu! We had waffles and the Mushroom Hash on our first visit and we craved for the Mushroom Hash again, so went the second time and realized the consistency! We chose to order Smoked Beets Rancheros as well. So yeah, I would keep going here over and over again! I walked by the kitchen towards the restroom and there were two chefs working there, I don’t know how they do it, but both you chefs, Great work!

Last evening my wife and I travelled over to Long Beach Lodge for drinks and appies. We stay at a neighboring resort but always visit for food and drinks, we have been going here for over 10 years and. Last evening we visited and were approached by the host.(gentlemen with a beard) He looked us up and down and asked “do you have reservation” we did not. He then asked “are you staying here or not” No, we are next door. He then proceeded to inform us that there are no available tables and the bar has reservations at 7:30, it was 6:49pm. We have never in our lives felt more discriminated against than we did from this host. There were 6 empty tables and 2 people siting at the bar. My wife was just appalled at how this person treated us. I walked out of there just speechless on how we were just blatantly discriminated. This is not how you treat any quests to any establishment. My wife and I are professionals and could not even imagine treating another person this way.

First class meal last night. Rylan and the entire team were very professional, engaging, warm, friendly, and attentive. We had the best experience celebrating a special occasion. The kitchen also deserves top credit, our meals were delightful. Thank you!

I visited this hotel in September, and have just booked my return trip for May. We stayed in a deluxe beachfront room in the lodge and it was perfect... that VIEW! For me, it was exactly what I needed after a gruelling year and a half of COVID protocols. BC is always so welcoming, and this resort was just so lovely! The surfing is top notch, and the food at the snack bar, where we ate several times, was so good! I can't wait to return and sit around the fire on the patio, sipping a lovely little drink.

This is the 15th year we have visited the Long Beach Lodge Resort. This year we are here with our adult children and their families in three of the Rainforest Cottages. Each year one of the highlights of our stay has been our dinner at the Long Beach Lodge restaurant. This year was the exception. The food was excellent and Jolene, who attended to our table, was excellent however we almost didn’t get that far. The gentlemen working the hospitality desk, Mike, was at best rude and at worst down right inhospitable. Our party of six arrived at 4:30 for the Apres Surf menu. We were told that we really should have made a reservation and that they were extremely busy tonight. He then went on to say that they had a table of 25 tomorrow and 12 tonight at 7pm but he guessed it would be ok. He then wanted to know if we were staying at the resort. We said yes then he demanded to know what room. By the time he eventually acquiesced to us entering the nearly empty great room (because it was only 4:30) We then overheard Mike discussing loudly with Jolene this issue of 6 people coming in. We felt so unwelcome it was ridiculous. I’m sure Mike was greatly relieved to see our $400 tab out of his restaurant by 6:20 so he could move on. We are very disappointed in this uncharacteristic and unfriendly experience that is so out of the norm for the Long Beach Lodge. Update: I received an email from Andy, the food and beverage manager at the Long Beach Lodge Resort. His response was courteous, apologetic and constructive. All concerns have been addressed and dealt with. The rest of our visit has been wonderful.

Beautiful Resort. Walking distance to beach, surf lessons, great staff, very good selection of food, rented one of the cottages very clean and good functional cottage with apartment size kitchen, Jacuzzi, two bedrooms with total of 4 beds. Serene calm and quite. Highly recommended.

Is this the most beautiful dining experience in Tofino- we think so! Wedding or just a nice dinner the food is excellent, the staff close to perfection and the view outstanding. We hd a family celebration with six and ordered ahead the crab platters (included scallops and shrimps), added some extras and it was the best dinner we had! All diners have access to the balcony to take memorable photos! Just make a reservation well ahead and if you can - stay there too!

We stayed 3 nights. Great resort; the room was wonderful, all meals great, and the staff was across the board friendly and helpful. The resort is right on the beach, so great views of the surfers and great sunsets. We liked the outdoor patio with views and drinks.

Very nice resort, Stayed here for 3 nights. This is probably the best property out of the 3 in cox bay in my opinion. Pacific sands is right up there but to me what sets them apart is the restaurant at long Beach. We got to try a few dishes over the course of our stay and everything was pretty solid. Shout out to those guys in the kitchen. Everybody is polite , house keeping was good. Room service was very fast . No complaints. Will definitely come back and I recommend to stay

My hubby and I stayed at the resort for our second time last week and it once again exceeded our expectations. Our room was gorgeous, meals at the Great Room were delicious, the gym is small but functional and well-equipped, great coffee and snacks at the Surf Club and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. We rebooked for next fall before we had even checked out. Highly recommend this resort!

Once again Long Beach Lodge was amazing! Front staff very friendly and professional, not sure why the gentleman was standing behind the ladies working. Just seemed a little odd. The food from room service was wonderful, Thank you to the kitchen staff. Even when the power went out, our stay was perfect. Watching the snow and sitting the fire place was so relaxing. One suggestion that I did mention at checkout this morning was to use a small snow removal device. ( bobcat ) Watching 5 staff members shovel snow the day before and waking up to more, was too much. There were 2 vehicles stuck at the front entrance when we left at 7:30am and it was not a good scene as we tried to leave the property. Is there new owners?

We had our second meal here in the great room (in as many days) and it was fantastic. Jolene was our amazing server for 4-1/2 hours and 6 courses, the entire staff was very professional, the food was incredible, and the evening was seamless and enjoyable beyond our expectations. Edit: went back for takeout again the next day. It was that good.

Have stayed at the rainforest cottage for 3 nights, which is well surrounded by lovely greenbelt with high degree of privacy. Love the unique semi-open hot tube on the patio, and comfy and practical homey settings of the cottage. The cottage is noted to be very maintained indeed! The last but not the least, all serving staffs were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much, and look forward to coming back soon! Well done!

Stopped in for dinner our first night in Tofino. What a fabulous view! We were seated at what felt like the best seat in the house and had a great waitress, Katherine, who was so friendly and professional. Was a magical night we will never forget. Thank you to everyone, especially Katherine ❤️

Enjoyed a lovely meal today in the beautiful Great Room. Best fries ever! The mussels were a bit too spicy for me but I still enjoyed them. This is my favourite place to relax with some great food while taking in the view of Cox Bay with surfers strutting their stuff. The power went off while we were there and I was very happy that they have generators to keep the operation going. I wish they would be open for lunch again like they used to be.

We had a great welcome by reception, and we were given an excellent room that met all our requests! There were lots of little touches in the room, like freshly ground coffee and a French press, a selection of teas and a tea pot, some welcome candies, bath salts etc. The toiletries smell divine (and are natural so don't cause issues for those with chemical sensitivities). There's lots of EV chargers now. They also appear to be taking environmental steps: like refilled containers for the coffee and toiletries. We've now stayed in both the cabins and rooms and enjoyed them all! The only downside of our visit was dinner at the restaurant, which I feel should be a separate review. Our server was brutal (we were so envious of the other tables who had a woman who was engaging and friendly). Just two examples: I asked him if there was anything we should know about the menu or specials, and he said 'no not really'. After we ordered, we heard the other server tell the table next to us that the seafood platter was available (even though they normally need 24 hours notice), which was a shame as we would have ordered it. Our appies came super fast (too fast... We'd only had one sip of our drinks), so I requested they hold off on our meals for a bit, as we wanted to relax and enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, that seemed to mark us as problematic, and he pretty much never came back to check on us! At one point I asked for some lime wedges for my water, and he brought two tiny shriveled up pieces of lime, and didn't refill my water glass! (it never got refilled all night...I ended up drinking my husband's water). We felt obligated to still leave a good tip as the hostess or manager was working hard and checked in on us more than he did... I hope she got a share of it! We dined elsewhere on our second night, and the contrast in the attentive, friendly service was dramatic. It's a shame because the appies were great (amazing olives and hummus). And the setting and view truly can't be beat.

Clean suite. Beds comfortable beyond believe and very special welcomes at entry to gate of property! Check- in to property established peace and joy to be received as a welcomed guest! The assistance and greeting at the front gate was the beginning of accommodating kindness, friendliness that can not be set aside. Long Beach Lodge is worthy and necessary to have repeat visits!

Had a great dinner for our anniversary. Had the beef tenderloin perfectly done, several drinks, and mango cheese cake for dessert! Yummy yummy yummy 😋 If you like sweeter drinks and are looking to try something different I would definitely recommend trying the afternoon bliss. It was AMAZING. The staff were very friendly, attentive and accommodating.

  • 5/5 Marli M. 2 years ago on Google
We had dinner here for a birthday and it was delicious. I ordered the afternoon bliss cocktail and it was SO good, I’m going to try to recreate it at home. We shared the olives and hummus, cashew hummus to be exact and it was so creamy and tasty, and also shared the prawn cocktail. I ordered the bison tagletelli as my main, it was really good, and I snuck a few bites of my boyfriend’s main the scallops and pork. The faro and pork belly were almost addictive, I kept stealing bites. Only complaint was one of our group’s orders was the beef tenderloin, and was requested to be cooked medium. It was very rare inside so once she ate her way around the more cooked edges, we had the kitchen sear it up again, but it was still rare inside. It was probably 3 inches thick so I can understand it can be difficult to cook it to medium without overdoing it. All in all, delicious!

My wife and I came here on a beautiful, sunny fall day and the views were unbeatable- a great place to storm watch with lots of windows. We went for 2:30, which is their happy hour on food and drinks. We enjoyed their pork belly, which was melt in your mouth and full of flavor; as well as the hummus and flat bread, which was very good too. Our server Natalia was attentive and lovely. We look forward to coming back here one day.

Had both brunch and the apres surf menu! View is incredible, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and the food is great. We had a few cocktails in the afternoon happy hour and were not disappointed. Incredible flavour pairings in the cocktails made it not only delicious, but a great experience as well. The mixologist behind the bar knows what she's doing. 😊

Great restaurant. The food is good, the view is beautiful and the property is also very nice. Take a little walk on the beach before a meal and you will be charmed. We had both dinner and breakfast here but unfortunately I only have photos of our breakfast. The freshness of the food is very good. Everything was tasty and well presented. The staff is really friendly and nice. I recommend you trying them out if you are around.

The most delicious eggs Benedict on amazing Focaccia, crispy yet soft and chewy. Amazing atmosphere and view of the beach. Highly recommend a stop here for a beautiful brunch or a dinner with a view! Gf loved her waffle!

We have been visiting/staying at the Long Beach Lodge since 2005. We stayed there Feb 24-27/2022. Another great visit. Right from check-in; the front desk, the dining room, kitchen and housekeeping staff they were all great. Friendly, helpful and respectful. Our breakfasts and dinners were outstanding. What I noticed more this time was all the different countries/cultures that were represented at LBL. This is awesome! Keep up the great work and please thank everyone, including the ones you never see, they're in the background working hard. Until next time.

I was married here August 6th 2022 and it was the best trip I've ever taken, through out the months leading up to the wedding, the events staff at Long Beach Lodge Resort were more than helpful with any questions I had or help I needed, minimizing my stress, upon arrival it got even better from there, everyone was so welcoming, calm and excited for us. We had a beautiful beach front room and gifts waiting for us. The wedding day it-self flowed beautifully and I had multiple comments on how relaxed I seemed. The events team really gave me free reign to decorate and dictate how the day went. I visited Long Beach Lodge Resort once for lunch in 2017 and knew it was where I wanted to get married. 5 years later my dreams came true, and I will forever recommend Long Beach Lodge to anyone I meet, everyone should experience this paradise once in their lifetime. If you have the chance to stop in along the way to Tofino the food in the Great Room is 10/10 and you won't be disappointed, ill forever be dreaming about bagel and lox for breakfast. I wish I could get married here every year but a vacation will have to do!

Stayed 4 nights in one of the cottages. So relaxing, and the staff at this resort are so wonderful. Loved walking Cox Beach each day. The sunsets from here are breathtaking. Would recommend booking one of the cottages due to the ambience. Definitely hope to return one day.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to comment on my stay at Long Beach Lodge. Despite the wrong check out date being on our reservation, the first three days went smoothly. We enjoyed the serene setting especially with my 90 year old mom that I was celebrating my birthday and this was our Christmas present to each other. Hannah and Emma at the front desk and many staff within room service and the great room were kind and welcoming. We ordered room service a number of times, picked up drinks and snacks and even ate in the great room once. We left our garbage and used towels outside the room, and even requested a refill of the custom made trail mix that Emma arranged for housekeeping to provide. We loved it so much that we booked for four additional nights after three days there. Our experience definitely went down hill after day three though as , in the middle of my birthday celebration, we received a notice under the door - not a phone call- saying because we had our privacy notice up for 48 hours for our health and safety the room needed to be physically checked.not just checked from the door - but staff physically entering the room and walking around when I phoned to clarify the request. This is not for a 90 year old’s health and safety as with a little bit of research, housekeeping or the front desk could have seen the charges against our room and tracked that we had interacted with housekeeping, room service and the great room staff a few times in the four day stay. I believe it is our choice to refuse housekeeping in normal times and especially during omnicron which is more contagious especially as some housekeeping staff don’t wear masks. If it is not a guest choice to refuse to have unmasked housekeeping staff in their room, this should be made clear to guests before paying a premium that this is pre-condition of staying with Long Beach Lodge. I am writing a second review as I am disappointed that you are now “blaming the guest” for misreading the housekeeping message that for our health and safety you had to physically go in to the room after 48 hours. I so wish I had snapped a phone photo before you whisked the offending notice away. Is this really four star treatment? While we still have our days booked with you later in the year. your response leaves us perplexed and perhaps seeking equally beautiful resorts that might treat a 90 year old guest and family a little more respectfully regarding why an unmasked housekeeper would not be welcome to check on our “well being”.

We really loved our stay at Long Beach Lodge. The location was fantastic, loved the in room amenities (sustainability focussed), Hannah on check in and Ava at the Surf Club were so welcoming and we can’t wait to come back. Our only issue is that the ground floor rooms can be extremely noisy. We could hear every going on in the room above us and the plumbing is extremely loud. The location of the lodge rooms is amazing but if you want something quieter I would go for a Rainforest Cabin or request to not be on the ground floor.

It compares to our other anniversary getaways, great overall experience and the location can not be beat. We will definitely come back! Fire pits are a nice touch, hope they add 2 more or recommend time limits 😉

We had our intimate wedding at the Long Beach Lodge, and it was lovely! The weather was PERFECT, the accommodations lovely, and the food delicious throughout our 3 day stay with our wedding party of 10. The server for our wedding dinner, Katherine, was an absolute gem! Her smile was infectious and she was such a delight - worked hard to make the evening so special. A bunch of us also did a surf lesson with Alexa and again such a great experience! On of the gals that joined us was a bit uneasy about the endeavour, but Alexa made her feel so comfortable she stayed in for two hours! The hot tub and sauna are a must for a post-surf wind-down. It was a getaway of a lifetime, and if I had to make one suggestion, it would be improved wedding coordination the day of (but I may also be a bit picky as an event planner myself). We were not thrilled with where our arbour was placed on the beach (right in the middle of EVERYONE, with lots of passerby… not quite the intimate ceremony we had envisioned), and there was a bit of miscommunication in the moments leading up to the ceremony. Other than that, we had a really enjoyable time and appreciated being pampered for a few days! A huge thank you to Leah, Maxeen, Katherine, Alexa and all the other incredible staff that made the occasion so seamless!

Incredibly delicious gluten free eats at the Sandbar Bistro at Long Beach Lodge Resort!! You don't need to staying at the Long Beach Lodge Resort in order to visit the Sandbar Bistro. We had the gluten free fish and chips, as well as the gluten free chicken strips. The food was so great we ended up getting chicken strips to go and had them for breakfast the next day. This spot made me a happy Celiac eater. Sitting by a fire, with good food, and a beautiful view of the beach was a fantastic experience. Will absolutely return!

Would definitely recommend if you are looking to try surfing. We were only in Tofino for the day but the hotel has wetsuit and board rentals that are available even if you’re not staying in the hotel. They made the experience so much fun and it was so easy to get to the beach. They allowed us to use the hotel amenities for the day as well such as the showers, lockers, and hot tub. Next time we come we will definitely have to stay for a couple of days.

Very nice! We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary while in Tofino. We enjoyed our food so very much. The view is amazing, the service was great! ⭐️ The appetizer that you see in the picture was AMAZING! I forgot the name. The main dish was good but the fish was a bit too salty for my husband and I. We also ordered the olive and hummus dish that was good but the bread didn’t impress us really. Drinks were great! We loved the guy who served us. Obviously on a pricey side but totally worth it 😋 I am a plant lady and it was sad to see the plants in the restaurant very thirsty and all the leaves were droopy 😞 I wanted to use my class of water to water the plants but my husband stopped me 😅
