HIKE UPDATE FEBRUARY 2021 I saw some misinformation online about the beginning of the hike and I ended up going through tons of mud and bushes. In my pictures I included a red arrow for where *not* to start the hike and a green arrow for where you should instead be going. It takes about 20 mins to go up and the view is absolutely worth it!!

We really enjoyed our visits to Cox Bay Beach, including an incredible sunset!

The trail was super muddy don’t forget to wear a proper hiking shoes or at least water proof shoes, definitely worth it . there is no sight for starting the trail but it’s easy to fine it , you would need to start it from the beach toward the rocks . You can also find a trail on All trail app .

This was by far the easiest beach to get to out of all the beaches I went to. To be fair all the trails or beaches I went to did not have a fee. The beach was nice and not too crowded. I went in the colder times so not many people around. Very pretty beach:)

This is such a special beach. We went to watch the sunset one night and to surf. Perfection! Be prepared to walk about 1.5km to the beach. 🤙🏄‍♀️

Beautiful walk along the beach and then jiked up to Cox Bay lookout. Check alltrails for the location of the trailhead. It's a good one. Recommend waterproof hiking boots.

The water is cold, super cold !!! Very different from long beach where in the waves take away the sand with the tides, you seem to sink in if you’re in the same spot for long :) Saw some folks making wonderful Time-lapses because it does give you a beautiful sunset to look at as you climb the nice rocky surfaces for a somewhat aerial view :) recommended ! Will definitely visit again when we visit Tofino !!

Visited in August, great beach. We also did the Cox Bay lookout trail located at the far end of the beach. Well worth it going up.

Sooo beautiful — a must-see if you’re in Tofino. Also a great beach to try surfing, and you can rent boards and wetsuits from Long Beach Lodge which is right there and also gets you shower and hot tub access 🏄

A must if you are visiting Pacific Rim. *The beach is actually a private property. *Has paid parking *Access through the breezeway on the left hand side of the washroom *Very busy even on weekdays *The waves are great for surfing

Great beach! A must when your in town. We loved being on the beach and surfing here. Had a great break and lots of space to spread out. Great vibe and super friendly. The sunsets were unreal here! Can’t wait to come back and experience it again! Make sure to bring your chairs and a drink!!

Best place to watch the surfers and explore all the caves and paths that the tide hides

One of the most popular beach in the area, especially for surfers. It has some nice smooth waves even with light wind.

Stunning beach! This one is lovely to walk along the beach then go to either cox bay viewpoint on one side or the boardwalk trail on the other for some nice views of the bay.

An amazing beach! There are better beaches to learn how to surf, tricky to get out past the break. But for hanging out, playing with your dog or family, this is a great choice.
