I spent 2 nights at this "resort" with my family. It is situated at a very nice beach with amazing views. But the resort itself suffers from poor management. There is almost no service at this resort. You might as well book an airbnb and save money. They asked us to let them know if we need housekeeping as this is offered only on-demand due to Covid, which itself is something I never understood why. We let them know that we want the housekeeping but then they told us it is not possible as they're short staffed. It's like going to a restaurant, paying for the food and then then they tell you sorry, we took your money but we're short staffed. They also asked us to do the dishes upon check-out! We asked if this is part of the policy and they said no, but we "appreciate" it. We checked-out and an hour later they called us again, asking if we left our rooms? Overall, this place is very overrated. I won't stay here again and don't recommend it to anyone.

I believe it is necessary to bring it to the resort management's attention. I have booked 4 night stay for September a month ago for my small wedding, and decided to book another suite for my friend lately. Before go head booking online, I emailed politely and explained to see if any possibility to get a discount on the second room. Frankly speaking, it doesn't hurt to ask and it is totally fine without discounts. The customer service only replied with one sentence saying they only offer discounts for 5 or more rooms, period. Very condescending. So we changed our minds and booked both my stay and my friend's with another place. I emailed back to him and asked him "Can you please cancel my reservation?" He didn't bother to reply, but canceled it promptly. For a $619/night rate, I would expect better customer service. I would at least spend $6,000 with your place if treated a bit better.

This resort is modern, good location on the beach and the rooms are good, although small. However, our sheets and towels were not picked up and there were no complementary services like breakfast, shuttle bus, bike or kayak use. The price is very high and there are dozens of other resorts in the area with similar features for less money.

We have stayed here twice in the last two years. This past experience wasn’t the greatest. The room had long black human hair in the sheets and shower. Neither my girlfriend or I have long black hair. The room is dog friendly and I would understand fur or dog hair but this was human hair. It was almost as if the room wasn’t cleaned properly before we arrived. My girlfriend even swept the kitchen after we made food the first night, and more hair. The suite was overall nice, and had a great view but the cleanliness just wasn’t there. The staff were nice and had the sheets changed when requested but it was just frustrating to have occur. I sent an email to their info email and received a fairly generic response. I’m not sure if we would stay again, we may consider trying elsewhere if they are dog friendly.

Beautiful all of it. Just don’t forget your room card there isn’t someone here over night to let you in if you lose it or forget it. Great vibes, cool food truck area and fire pits. It was snowing while we were visiting which made the experience even cooler. Snow on the beach it was just gorgeous. Update to my original review: the power went out due to it being snowy. The power was out for over 24 hours and the staff didn’t bring any candles or any options or any contact for what to do. There was no wifi or cell service and it was freezing cold. We were offered nothing in the means of hot water even to make a cup of tea whilst sitting in the dark freezing. There was nobody there to clear the snow on the steps which was super dangerous and our sauna reservation was cancelled without letting us know or any form of contact. Local restaurants all had generators but this hotel that isn’t cheap had nothing to offer and offered no form of refund for the stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a 2 bedroom suite in the The Lodge building. The interior of the room is beautifully updated with big windows, including a lovely ocean view. Great location on Cox Bay, near Tofino.

I was very fortunate to have spent an extended time here and I can go on about my experience at Pacific Sands but I’ll just say it’s truly magical. I’ve been coming to Tofino for over 10 years, and capturing photos of this place especially staying at Pacific Sands on my camera was beautiful. Friendly staff, who are extremely accommodating. Clean and spacious rooms. Great food options on property. Can’t beat the view and the distance to the ocean Can’t wait to keep coming back to surf my heart out ❤️

We have stayed at this resort twice now in the last two years. We live in Parksville, so it isn’t too far from home. For us, going to this resort is a big deal, and every time we go we want it to be spectacular. Both times we stayed (just left our latest stay today), we have been greeted by staff that smile and wave. We enter a sparkling clean room. We sleep like logs in the incredible beds. We cook our own food in the perfectly updated and convenient kitchen. We relax on the comfortable sofa by the warm fireplace. We enjoy every sip of wine provided while sitting on the balcony. This time, we stayed in the newer smaller units and I worried it would be a bad view and a more “entry level feel”. Well, our stay was well beyond our expectation. We had a great view and even though the beach was incredible…. It was honestly hard not to want to rush back to the room after being outside because it was so cozy! When we go somewhere we want it to be incredible, and Pacific Sands never disappoints. Can’t wait until our next stay!

Amazing place. Beautiful views. We were right on the water,( beach house) from a free room upgrade 😎. Love the sounds of the waves crashing on shore. Food at the surf side grill was amazing . We ordered right at closing time and the food was fresh and delicious. Quality everything . Staff was awesome and friendly. We are booked again for 3 weeks from now it was that great. Little pricey but it's expected for all you get. Great place.

We enjoyed our spur of the moment trip to your Resort very much. Your front desk staff (especially TAmi) were awesome in finding us exactly what we were looking for. We are not surfers, but enjoy watching the waves very much. We are in our 70's with mobility issues and your staff were eager to assist us, both with parking and ground floor access to the beach. We will definitely plan better next time and we will be back. They explained all the amenities that were available for food and drink.

This is a beautiful resort. Such a great location right on the beach and it’s super cute and walkable with hammocks & trails nearby. Having the Surf Sister location here is convenient as well. The only thing is you’ll have to have a vehicle or bikes to get into the main town. Rooms are very well equipped and very comfortable. I’d say the only downside of staying here is the price of the saunas but otherwise I would definitely return.

Coming to Tofino was the culmination of a 3 year planning process. My dream trip and very first time ever in stunning and amazing Tofino. Staying at Pacific Sands was ALWAYS my FIRST CHOICE!! It does not disappoint in any way. I LOVED my beachfront suite. Every morning when I went out to the living room. The first thing I saw was is the beautiful ocean. I could hear the ocean too. Esp. at night. So magical!! An absolutely breathtaking view!!! The rooms are beautiful and well done. They have thought of everything at this beautiful beach resort. Pacific Sands is a hotel and beach resort. I first heard about watching a video on YouTube done by influencer Alicia Haque. I would watch her videos on Tofino and that is where I learned about Pacific Sands. That I needed to stay there. The reception and staff were lovely friendly and helpful. Thank you esp. to Anku, Pablo and Kailey. Very kind in answering questions. I also got some Pacific Sands goodies to take home. I have two toques from Pacific Sands. A royal blue one and one that has become my most favourite. A turquoise toque with a pom pom. Also a tee shirt and some pens. I take away from this trip so many wonderful memories. A fantastic stay at Pacific Sands Beach Resort. FYI my Pacific Sands is the one I'm wearing in the picture eating ice cream at Chocolate Tofino. Love this toque!! Wear it all the time now. Then a photo of me standing in my dream room at Pacific Sands. Finally the picture of my friend Doris and I taking a picture with sea kelp or is it also called bull kelp. It felt like a rubber hose. I'd never experienced that before. Everything in Tofino and at Pacific Sands was a FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!!

This place was exquisite! It's sort of casually elegant and the constant, close relationship with the waves is epic. They have a little grill, of which I wasn't expecting much, but even that was excellent with very fresh fish! On a clear night, I saw the entire Milky Way unfold from the firm but we sand that went on forever when the tide was low. There are fire pits, hammocks, bicycles, ponchos for inclement weather, and all kinds of cool little details. I highly recommend Pacific Sands Beach Resort!

Time seems to become a steady continuum, as the constant shush of the waves, so restful. We only had two nights here, self catering in the well equipped kitchen, and wish it could have been longer. The surfing looked good. Beach walks were good, despite the wet weather. Tofino is a short drive away, from where we went on an excellent whale watching trip. Someone I chatted with at Pacific Sands described it as her happy place.

Beautiful resort, the bed and pillows are very comfortable. We stayed on a ocean facing room and the back entrance for easy access is just amazing. They've thought of everything; great setup in the 1 bedroom units, room service is great and the availability of restaurants is limited to two places but they are FANTASTIC so even that is a good thing.

Always blown away by the view.. Stormy or sunshine it's a beautiful place. Enjoy a coffee walk early in the morning and watch the mist rise, find little creatures along the beach and breathe! Finish the day by the fire and watch a stunning sunset..

This is an amazing resort. Sun beach surf what more could you ask but there is more. The accommodations are clean warm and welcoming. The staff go out off their way to accommodate your needs to make your stay unbelievable. The pounding surf the long Beach walks give you a time out from rush of daily demands.

In love with this hotel! Have been going there twice a year for the last 3 years and would not change a thing. Pet friendly, direct beach access, surf equipment rentals, cafe, trails. Pretty much everything you need in Tofino!

This place is just next level. You walk into the room and it doesn't feel like a hotel it feels like a home. So many little touches just make it feel special. Surf Shack is great for food (Halibut top noche), Surfer Girl ready for all your surfing needs and coming soon a Coffee Shop. Awesome place to get away from it all in the woods with a wild swell and the comforts of home. I don't know why you would stay anywhere else.

What an extraordinary location! The second floor beachfront room had an incredible view of the ocean and we watched the waves as they kissed the beach over and over again. The surfers seemed to love this location and were fun to watch! We were celebrating our birthdays and were welcomed with a bottle and chocolate and a card and a candle. The bed was comfortable and we loved having the balcony and kitchen.

We recently got married in front of Pacific Sands in Cox Bay, and had our post-wedding champagne reception at Pacific Sands, as well as our welcome gathering at Surfside Grill the night before our wedding. The staff were incredible-so helpful and professional. So many of our guests raved about the food from Surfside Grill-they were able to make 80 meals for us in waves and it all worked out great. We also stayed here for 5 nights during our wedding and it was wonderful. This isn't my first time staying here, and we will be back!

Excellent 3-day stay here with family in July 2022. Consistently exceeded high expectations from free laundry detergent to smores kits and some facilities being open/available longer than posted. Suites are very well appointed, especially the kitchens. Staff went out of their way to ensure a great experience. Gas fire pits were a family favourite. A table-service dining option would make this resort perfect, but the Surfside Grill does well enough take-out, and Long Beach Lodge table service is just a few minutes walk down the beach if you need that. Highly recommend this resort!!

Beautiful location, right on the beach with surfing. Our room was spacious, clean and very nice. There is surf gear rental and lessons at the resort. I believe that all rooms have at least a small kitchen. The resort restaurant opens at 9 (which may seem late for some if you don't want to have breakfast in your room) and has a pretty small menu. There are cafes close by that open earlier.

A lovely stay! Spent the weekend at one of the 2 bedroom luxury beach houses with a group of friends and it was perfect. Very spacious, comfortable beds, and fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful beach right on the resort with a stunning view of the sunset. The staff were all very accommodating and everything about our stay was just perfect. Love the outdoor sauna too!! Would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely experience here. The location is fantastic, the room was clean and well-maintained, the staff were friendly and the grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. The price was quite reasonable for the quality and time of year.

What can I say about Pacific Sands that hasn’t already been said a million times? My boyfriend and I had been talking about going to Pacific Sands for years, and we were finally able to go for Valentine’s day this year. We stayed in the oceanside suite, and were so lucky to be in such a great room! We had direct ocean views, and the room was beautiful. It came with every amenity we needed, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were so phenomenal we couldn’t help but buy full sizes of them before we left! The bathroom was beautiful, and the tub was luxurious, we loved the pumps for the different body and hair care products, very innovative for reducing waste. The bed was huge, and although very comfy, the pillows were not, I may recommend bringing your own pillows! They were very stiff and very tall, leaving you with neck pain in the morning, but that was my only qualm! Although Tofino is filled with many amazing restaurants, we couldn’t help but stay at the resort and eat at the beach front grill. The food was fantastic, and you could place an order and pick up in minutes. The views were phenomenal, unbelievably breathtaking. We were lucky enough to get the various cliff-side benches to ourselves and enjoyed some romantic alone time watching the waves crash and the surfers in the water. It was incredible, and we were lucky that it was so beautiful and sunny all weekend. The fire pits were fantastic, and allowed for us to enjoy the evening without freezing our toes off! We also appreciated the selection of movies and snacks available, perfect for those that forget their creamer for their coffee or their popcorn for a movie night! It was the best place we have ever visited for a romantic getaway, and since our trip it has been all we could think about. We have never been so relaxed, I swear. I understand why their online giveaways are so popular, because this place is one in a million, it’s incredible. Although it would be fantastic to visit during the summer season, I highly recommend visiting during the off season. Although it is cold, I promise it is so worth it. Walking the beach and waking up to the sound of waves crashing is like something out of a movie, you will want to experience it over and over again. I cannot wait to go again, and I hope we can make it a yearly trip from now on.

We had a wonderful time at Pacific Sands. Easily one of the most beautiful beaches in Tofino. I appreciate the partnerships with local businesses and the sustainability (refilled soap/shampoo dispensers, etc rather than small bottles). Kevan at reception was warm, welcoming and offered great in-depth suggestions on what to do in our short time there. Staff at the Surfside Grill were accommodating and so pleasant when we showed up for food right at closing time (oops). A lovely experience in the most beautiful setting!

Pacific Sands greeted us with such a warm and loving stay! We were celebrating our anniversary, there was wine and chocolate placed in the room upon our arrival—which we loved! Staff was all very warm and welcoming. We spent lots of our time at the grill shack, really tasty food over there—the oysters were delicious. Looking forward to returning :)

This place is located in an amazing beach, where you can do a good range of activities, including surfing, cycling, hiking, etc. The town of Tofino is just a short drive away, and there are a few great spots to grab a bite or coffee on the way. The Pacific Sands staff is super friendly and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful and well maintained. Definitely would stay there again.
