Bahn mi was so good I almost ate the rubber band. Unbelievable that you can get lunch for under $10 in the middle of downtown, especially with this quality.

Good sub, decent value. Would definitely go again. A good sign of success is that they are busy so about 10 min wait for sub.

Really yummy Banh Mi and other Thai food. Vegetarian options. We really enjoyed the tofu banh mi sub and the salad. The new caramelized black pepper tofu is so good. Super affordable. Great cheap eats. Big sandwich. Nice staff.

This is a great place! We came here just the other day to order some food for take out. And it was so good that we ordered again for our dinner. It is just across from the hotel where we stayed at. So, it is very convenient for us to just go to the place. The food tastes great, affordable and huge portions. Great service, great food, great location & great staff(they are nice and friendly). Highly recommended! Try their Avocado bubble tea, this is not the typical Avocado flavored/powdered bubble tea. They use real Avocado!

Considering the prices of most of the items at this place, I would say this is one of the better places to come for lunch in the area. I ordered the lemongrass chicken and rice bowl and it only cost me $8.50. I honestly can't remember the last time I went to a restaurant and saw prices this low. A good reference point for me at any Vietnamese restaurant when looking at pricing is the bubble tea. At this place, they are charging $4.75 per bubble tea, whereas most places are charging around $6. How they remain profitable is still a mystery to me, or perhaps I'm just used to other places over charging. Anyways, my meal came with a good amount of rice, two pieces of chicken and a spring roll. Again, considering the price, I was definitely happy with the food, as it was hot and seemed fresh. This place does get busy around lunch time, so I would recommend ordering online or phoning your order in ahead of time. Overall, I would recommend this place if you are looking to get a bite to eat and are looking for good value for your money.

I eat lunch here at least once a week, and I have yet to be disappointed. The food quality is top-notch and in terms of value (price point and portion size) Thai Thien is truly exceptional. Their subs are probably the most popular items, but I would strongly recommend their rice bowls, with a side of spring rolls. Give this place a try!

We came here late night when many other options were closed. Good place for a decent meal. We went for the only two vegan options they had available - Caramelized Black Pepper Tofu Sub and Caramelized Black Pepper Tofu with Veggie Spring Rolls Bowl. Liked both of them - Sub more I guess. No wow factor but very good, especially with respect to their price point. The staff was good. They seem to be getting a lot of takeout orders. There's a restroom for which one needs to ask the key to the gentleman at the counter. Not too sure about the parking but there might be street parking. There's a paid parking lot in the building opposite the restaurant.

Love this place! I order from here at least once a week. Everything I have ever ordered from here has been great. Prices are very reasonable, service is amazing, food is absolutely fantastic for take out. Thai Thien has never disappointed! 100% would recommend this place!

I’ve been happily going here for a decade. They are extremely friendly, accommodating to any kind of customization, and the food has always been delicious, generously portioned, and affordable!

Best Vietnamese food for quick take out. Friendly staff, great price and tasty food. Been coming here for years and stop in at least once a week. I recommend sate beef sub or the peanut sate soup which is one of the best in town. The spring rolls are amazing too!! Highly recommend this place.

We came at peak lunch hour on a Monday and the place was packed. Significant highlights: super reasonably priced, and super delicious. Everything was really excellent - vermicelli (both pork and beef/shrimp) were fantastic, with great seasoning and perfectly cooked meat. the subs looked massive and fresh. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend

The most affordable food, it's really the best value for food in downtown Calgary. 🥰 We got the Beef & Chicken Steamed Rice and Chicken & Shrimp Steamed Rice. They tasted delicious and were cooked perfectly. The portion sizes were really generous and they only cost $8.50 each. 🤤 The staff was so friendly, and the shop was small with limited seating. We went around 6pm and there were so many people waiting for their orders. They were super busy but it was totally worth it! 😋

This has been a go-to spot for years while travelling to Calgary. Ingredients are always fresh and food is always super flavourful. I had the spicy beef sate banh-mi for the first time yesterday, and it was phenomenal. I highly recommend the soups and vermicelli bowls. Fresh salad rolls are good too, but it would benefit from having some mint/basil added too instead of just the lettuce.

My go to place whenever I’m visiting Calgary. Very warm and friendly family run restaurant. Great value for money 💰 in today’s inflationary times. Super fresh, authentic flavours, awesome serving size. Loved their shrimp wonton soup packed with broccoli and the salad rolls with extra chilli oil on the side. The Lichi bubble tea was outstanding 👍. Highly recommend this place.

Value for money. Order online before 12 PM to avoid the long wait though. Spicy Sate Pork sub is my favourite one!

The best Thaï restaurant in Calgary downtown ! We ordered two chicken plates with rice, usually it cames with pork which we don't eat, so it was so tasty i recommend this place 😋

Not many places in the city where you can get decently sized springrolls for a reasonable price. Have ordered here a couple times for takeout and the food has always been consistent and quick. Definitely recommend 👌.

You'll run into a long queue filling up the place at lunch hours. Very good price at this location. Ordered curry chicken sub. It was freshly made and came with a good amount of toppings. Will prefer curry sauce with less sweetness and more spice, will try satay next time

Food was absolutely amazing for the price. $13 for a bowl of pho and spring rolls. Spring rolls were the best I ever had. Place a bit dirty but damn so good.

This place is a must if you need a quick meal downtown. There’s nowhere else I’ve found DT where you can get a $6 sub that will fill you up. John and the crew there are great at what they do, and it shows everytime you visit.

Affordable and friendly service with great portions. Family behind the counter was extremely kind and welcoming. Ended buying 3 items as I couldnt narrow down the choices! Pineapple Beef Bun, shrimp salad roll and beef onion, lemongrass chicken and pork vermicelli rice. Even asked for extra sauce and they were happy to oblige. The veggies could be more pickled in the sub but I prefer a strong pickle taste. You won't regret visiting here!

Delicious and well sized banh mi's for a very reasonable price (4.50 for the most basic assorted sub) . Looks like a traditional Vietnamese family-run restaurant. Overall menu is very reasonably priced and tbh, they can probably get away with raising prices a dollar or two for the quality they provide. Limited seating, so mostly a takeout joint. Cheers

Been here a few times and everything I’ve tried has been consistently good! Prices are also extremely reasonable. Makes for a great quick lunch or dinner. Staff is also wonderful and super nice.

The best value for your money!

If Thai Thien ever closed down I’d need months of therapy. Tofu sub seriously underrated but so good. Staff is very kind and will remember your order even if you don’t come in for a few months. Throughout covid the service or the quality never went down.

My favorite place downtown to grab a delicious vietnamese sub -- great value and great service is the cherry on top. Only thing that makes me sad is the lineup during the lunch hour -- I'm clearly not the only person that loves this place!

Over the past 2 months I have had a date beef sub from about 20 different places and I would say they are tied for 3rd best! Will definitely be back to try some different flavors. Also give the guy who was working the evening of November the 15th a raise he is 11/10

One of my favourite go to places for a quick and affordable lunch. I would suggest to call ahead as the line can get 6-8 deep during lunchtime. I recommend the Satay Beef wrapped onion sub.
