This place is absolutely fabulous! Beautiful scenery. We went on week day and it wasn’t busy. The trails were a bit muddy so bring the right shoes. If you do the loop be prepared for a lot of stairs. There were more trails to explore that I need to plan time for next. The visitor center (has a different name) was really great and had a lot of interesting information as well.

I've gone here a few times and I will definitely be coming back. The bridge had an amazing view and is great for pictures but the bridge is often busy. The parking lot is normally full but people constantly come and go so it's pretty easy to get a spot. the hike is beautiful and I definitely recommend looking at the 30 ft pool (I don't fully remember the name) the 30 ft pools water is this unique emerald green color that I've never seen. A little secret people dont know is that if you go down the rocks to the water and look up the stream (where the water is flowing from) you'd see this waterfall but be careful on rainy days or wet days because the rocks can get very slippery. Also just a reminder to never go to far from the trail because it's very easy to get lost!

Went there yesterday evening. It’s in North Vancouver easily accessible by public transit as well. There’s a paid parking for 4 hours and you can also find a free parking on the street. Very beautiful place with a view of a water fall from the suspension bridge. Bridge is not as wide and long as capilano one but it’s free and definitely worth visiting. Inside the forest was also very fresh and peaceful. It wasn’t muddy at all. All trails were good. There’s a cafe as well just near the bridge entrance.

I took my young kids and warned them ahead of time that suspension bridges can be a little scary and they don't have to do it if they don't want... But we were all in for a pleasant surprise when we arrived at the Lynn Canyon Suspension bridge! It was incredibly well built and sturdy. It didn't wobble as much as other suspension bridges I've been on. I felt very safe having my children on there. As for the view - WOW! Spectacular. And definitely high enough to give you butterflies when you look down. I recommend solid hiking shoes... A lot of rocks and roots on the paths. At the thirty foot pool, there were a lot of people swimming... If that interests you then dress appropriately! Be aware - signs are all over the park warning visitors of the dangers of cliff jumping. There have been many injuries and some fatalities (shown in a graphic at the beginning of the trail.) If I ever visit the area again, I will definitely plan to go back! Highly recommend

Mystical magical serenity. Limited parking, $4 charge effective March 2024. Majestic red cedar trees towering above you. Shimmering glistening moss as far as the eye can see The intoxicating smell of fresh air which I didn't know existed Crystal clear water cascading down natural rock formations. Nice trails leading to Twin falls. Well worth the short hike. Unfortunately I didn't see any bears, maybe next time Nature is awesome, who would have thunk it

Love it 😍 love it , as always great place to do light hikes ( under an hour) or hard core hikes and swim (0ver 4 hours). Breath taking deep woods/ trees 🌲 and scenery, typical of BC. Nice public facilities and lately a good coffee shop added. A must visit if you are in Vancouver , in summer or even in winter. Pick your hike carefully, specially if you have non-hikers or older parents with you, to avoid over stretching one’s capabilities, as walk to gorge could be steep up or down. Ample parking ( paid) or you can always park near by on street with in a few minute walk. Enjoy the nature at its best

A beautiful park with impressive views to hike, chill, and enjoy nature. During winter, the parking is free and it’s not crowded. The gift shop/museum is quite educational in terms of environmental conservation. Highly recommend it!

Definitely a must do! I prefer Lynn canyon over Capilano suspension. You pay a fee at Capilano but Lynn canyon is completely free. Great views for picture taking. Cliff jumping into a 30 foot pool in the mountain. Awesome trails. Highly recommend

A great place for hike. Suspension bridge is nice, super accessible and right in the beginning of trails. In the hot summer, don’t miss out on the 30 foot pool. The water is emerald green and cool. Definitely saw lot of people jumping into the pool. We did the hikes for twin falls as well. The hikes are doable but there are insane amount of stairs which is no fun. But definitely for barely a drive from downtown its a really cool hike

Amazing place to spend your time with friends and family, also a great idea for hiking and swimming in the lake pool. It's free of entry ticket, but have to pay for parking. There's public washroom, table, and a food shop. A loop trail takes about one hour hiking, in the meantime, You can enjoy the water, and nice environment. Highly recommended to visit this place.

Stunning. Lots of stairs with this one but for me, it was worth it, even in the rain! Trails are well labeled. We didn't do the entire trail but we spend a good hour or so here. There is a cute little Cafe on site so you can grab a snack, lunch or a warm drink once your done.

Great hikes with well defined trails. Bathrooms available at the coffee shop near the parking lots. Parking is limited, but in the winter off-season it's free. Great waterfall views, and the suspension bridge feels very sturdy.

We went here on a Wednesday around lunch time and had lunch at the restaurant on site. It's pricey, so I would recommend packing food and using the picnic area. We hiked for quite a while. I will say that signage wasn't as clear as it could be on the trail, we did get a little lost and ended up walking to an adjacent park. I am thankful I had my Google maps app with me. We did come across a swimming area, very beautiful. The suspension bridge is right at the entrance, so you will cross it twice- once to get into the rest of the park and then on the way out. Lots to see and do and we spent about 4 hours there. We took the public transit from our hotel to Lynn Canyon, so worth it. The transit system in Vancouver is really clean, quick and easy to navigate. Definitely worth visiting and a cheaper alternative to Capulano Suspension bridge as the entrance is free.

Always a great pleasure to go to Lynn Canyon suspension bridge. With family, with friends it’s every time super enjoyable. Generally I’m always bringing a glass bottle to grab some spring water and I go for my promenade in the park. The park is just really clean and luxuriously green in every corner, a real delight through the day. I highly and strongly recommend Lynn canyon with the second most famous suspension bridge ;) and for free ;)

Lynn Canyon was gave us a great opportunity to escape and enjoy nature during our recent trip to Vancouver. The park was clean and well maintained, and offers a similar experience to the nearby paid attraction, albeit cheaper (free), far less crowded, and more solitary. We will definitely be sure to save time for Lynn Canyon during our visits to the Vancouver Area.

Totally worth visiting! First it’s free!!! We gave up going to Capilano Suspension Bridge because it was $60 dollars for the entrance ticket. Secondly it’s so beautiful. You can just walk around, see the waterfall, maybe swim in the cold water if you dare, there’s some really tall trees. You can walk around with your dog on a leash. You can do the trails, there’s a lot of walking to do and maybe get some coffee in the cafe. It’s a nice experience for a relaxing day.

Beautiful serene location in North Vancouver. Free for all. Washrooms are available at top. Cafe too for drinks and snacks or bring in your own food. Limited number of picnic tables. Paid parking still can be challenging on busy weekends. Hiking down it get cooler, calm and peaceful. Sound of water is heavenly. Combination of board walks, trails, bridges. Overall fun. 30 foot pool is great for swimming in summer. Couldn’t enjoy as we were not prepared. Loved it. Overall fun and definitely recommended.

It was a bit busy during the weekend on the suspension bridge so I can’t really stop to enjoy the scenery both side more. After that the trailer was beautiful along the stream. Great place for a good walk, you can also go into the water but it’s still very cold in May

The best place for hike in Vancouver. Beautiful nature, clean and very accessible! Unfortunately the suspension bridge was closed because of covid but there are lots of hikes around there to discover. Definitely try other bridges on the map. The air is very refreshing too. Enjoy adventures! ;)

It was an amazing experience! So so beautiful! The waterfall was stunning to look at. There were hikes that lead to the pool or the twin falls. We did them both, not very long hikes but it was nice. It good for kids who enjoy walks. The path is built up nicely, the views are amazing! The path has lots of steps going up and down so it's good if you are fit. Lots of parking outside the park. I would definitely do it again!

Awesome place to see a suspension bridge and enjoy some hikes with free access. We had such a good time but it can be tricky to find a spot to park. However you can find a place to park in the neighbourhood. This is not as spectacular as the Capilano Suspension bridge but it’s totally worth it and the area is designed to be walkable for everyone. You can also enjoy some ice cream and food as some food trucks come nearby the bridge.

Super cool place to walk around. We only did a couple of the trails but it's so pretty here. This is a place that I will return to when we have more time and walk as much of it as we can. It was pretty busy and parking was a little tough but that's what a Saturday and really nice weather gets you. I say this is a must stop for anyone in the area. The bridge was cool but the surrounding area was also just as cool.

Very beautiful place to explore and hiking! It is free and there are parking. you will see amazing views and clear river! The suspense bridge is small but the view of waterfall and river is breathtaking! The trail is great for hiking and relaxing in the beautiful nature. The park is closed at 9 pm.

Perfect place to spend a Sunday for FREE! Lots of trails to explore, place to dip in the cool water, splash around and enough stairs to feel those calories burning. With bathrooms, food and an ecology center thats jammed packed with knowledge for the mind.. you can't go wrong here. Refill your water bottles at the water station and enjoy the gorgeous views from the suspension bridge, twin falls bridge and the glorious nature trails around the place...For the nature lovers this place is satisfying to the bone and for those school projects.. head to the ecology center! Parking is a challenge at peak hours however the side streets around are ample to find a spot.. wheel chair accessible up to the suspension bridge.. so put on that explorer hat and bring the Indiana Jones vibe..

This a review of the park in general. The is an amazing park and an amazing experience with lots of trails and green spaces. There are washroom facilities available here in the park. I definitely recommend this park you will not be disappointed. The river that flows through it has several spots for great swimming and diving. Several bridges to cross and of course the suspension bridge.

Had a great visit here. What a wonderful place to take a walk amongst some really beautiful trees. The smell of cedar and the fun little suspension bridge. The stairs to walk around the hike were well maintained and good for a great leg workout. Staff was friendly and respectful. Trails were clean. Felt good to feel like you were stepping out of the city and enjoying nature.

Nice hike, with varying degrees of difficulty, but 100% worth it. You can find a natural pool and a few waterfalls, there are spaces to ride a bike, walk, jog, fish, take spectacular photos and definitely immerse yourself in the natural pool. dogs are super welcome.

I can't think of a better word than Amazing. The suspension bridge it incredible, the kids had a great time crossing it. We swam in the river and jumped from cliffs in the upper section. The water was cold but refreshing. We enjoyed hiking through dense lush forests. In colorado we have beautiful forests but nothing so alive with moss and ferns everywhere. Also for beautiful views find your way to the lower bridge. Plan to stay for at least several hours, we could have stayed hours more than our schedule allowed. Bring water and snacks to extend your stay.

Great easy hike, with lots of stairs and the best of all is that it is pet friendly! You can take the little ones on leash all the way! Also you can visit the 30 foot pool and refresh after hiking a bit. Definitely worth it. Make sure you wear the right cloths and shoes for hiking, also beware of bears, making sure you got the right wear.

Lynn Canyon is great! It's way less busy than Capilano Suspension Bridge and it's free! The view is fantastic and the moderate intensity hikes through the forest were serene. Parking did cost a small amount per hour. Would definitely recommend this place if you want a more intimate time in nature.

A trip to this extremely beautiful park was what truly defined my four months as an exchange student in Vancouver. It was the perfect day, and it is impossible to one up by many other contenders. It is super close to Vancouver proper, so getting there is not an issue. It is very well maintained, so enjoying it is a breeze. In winter, it is most certainly a winter wonderland that is easy to access and explore. Too much to say about it, but one is better served going there and experiencing it all first hand!

I was here 20 years ago. Forgot about it and came with coworkers after a friend recommended it. We were glad we did. The fresh air, flowing water ambience was very nice after a full day of flights ✈️. The exercise helped feel that my day wasn't wasted. Nice to see the youth swimming. If I had known, I might have prepared differently. Parking was full so we had to find room on a side road.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Not only is the place free to visit, but the views and the trails are unbeatable. You're actually getting to experience nature. Whether you just want a casual hike to see the vistas or something a bit more challenging, this place has you covered. Not to mention the cafe which is pretty decent and a good way to support the park!

I went with a private guide from hi Canada hostels names Erik He gave as an amazing cheap tour with a lot of stories. The park was amazing and swimming is definitely recommend! The water was fresh but really clean. The hike is medium long and a little bit uneven but for fit sportive people no problem. Take sun cream and a hat and take care of bears. In small group they might come. The park it self is amazing with super high trees and a small river and waterfalls everywhere. Cliff jumping is possible but really dangerous and not recommended. All in all I can just say how happy I was with my trip and I would do it all over again! If you can get a tour with Erik then it’s even better then alone ! Enjoy your walk !

Today, we visited the Lynn Canyon suspension bridge, which was remarkably beautiful. It was quite windy, making hiking the optimal choice. The lakeside scenery at Lynn Canyon is truly picturesque, and the morning is the best time to experience its relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Some individuals enjoy swimming and picnicking in this area. I have a strong affinity for this place, especially since it’s an ideal option for novice hikers.

Great place and view! Beautiful trees and plants. Plenty of rocks. And there is also a mini outdoor area where you can eat before you can have a walk and a little service where you can get food and drinks. The bridge is very fun to walk around and look at the views of the little river. You can take pictures on your way walking.

We didn't get to go om the bridge because it was closed but the hike was absolutely beautiful, there was so much to see throughout! Parking is great too which is always a blessing! I would recommend if it's quite chilly outside, do not fall into the stream, it will ruin the rest of your hike. You would think that would be pretty obvious but you would be suprised 😂.

Great free suspension bridge. Not too high. Swimming home is nice too. Very cold but refreshing. It’s an easy walk for kids. Perfect tourist activity so close to the city. A little crowded depending on time of day. Pay parking sucks but it is what it is.

  • 3/5 Aaron 3 years ago on Google
The suspension bridge was closed due to its narrowness that may make social distancing impossible when crossing. So my friend and I decided to just hike a circle around first and third bridge. Because the trail is mostly shadowed, I do not recommend a hike if it rained 2-3 days before your trip, as some paths could still be muddy and potentially slippery. For a leisure walker, it would take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete a full cycle. Please do keep in mind you may encounter wild animals, and the gate to the parking closes at 6pm.

Loved every minute of this beautiful rainforest. Parking was a bit hard to find thou, but once you have your parking space, pay the hourly rate, get ready for this spectacular rainforest. The suspension bridge is only a quick stroll from the Ecology Centre. The trails and stairways were well maintained. Unfortunately, we had only 3 short hours, which was definitely not enough. Go there early to avoid the crowds.

Lynn canyon is a great hike. It is fairly beginner friendly as there is the option to make the hike as long or short as you wish. Took my toddler this week and he was able to manage with minimal assistance. Would rate 5 Stars but the parking lot has recently changed to be paid parking which when it's always been free parking, puts a damper on going.

It is a great hiking trail!! There are many climbing up and down throughout the whole trail, it’s very scenic with all the woods and it’s very soothing with the water running sound around you. I can’t complete all 3 bridges coz it’s too much for me at once. Only completed Pipeline Bridge and Suspension Bridge, will try the Twin Falls Bridge next time. The water in the 30 Foot Pool is very clear and chillingly cold, it’s good on a hot day but it’s a bit too cold for me on a fall season day, but I can see some pple still swimming and having fun there.

This free, 600 acre park offers a number of experiences: a suspension bridge, many walking trails (short or long and of varying difficulty), waterfalls, swimming holes and picnic areas. The trails through the lush forest are clear and easy to follow with the map. The river provides a tranquil spot to sit for a while on the boulders. We had our lunch here, accompanied by Douglas Fir squirrels! The area seemed popular with locals and tourists alike. Amenities included toilets, ample parking, and Lynn Canyon Cafe. It was easy to reach the park using public transport from Vancouver city.

I recently visited Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver, and it turned out to be a truly enchanting experience. The natural beauty of this place makes it perfect not just for a leisurely stroll with family or pets but also for capturing memorable moments during a photoshoot. What sets Lynn Canyon apart for me is its untouched and authentic feel. Unlike some other popular suspension bridges, it hasn't been overly commercialized, giving visitors a more genuine connection with nature. The lush surroundings and diverse trails make it a haven for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. One of the highlights for me was the tranquility. Compared to the more crowded Capilano Suspension Bridge, Lynn Canyon offered a peaceful escape into nature. The absence of large crowds allowed for a more intimate experience with the surroundings. The variety of trails available caters to different preferences and skill levels. Whether you're up for a challenging hike or a leisurely walk, there's something for everyone. And if you're into photography, this place is a gem. The stunning views, especially on cloudy days, provide a unique and atmospheric backdrop for capturing the beauty of Lynn Canyon. In my opinion, Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge surpasses the more famous alternatives. Its natural charm, less crowded atmosphere, and the array of trails make it a standout destination for those seeking an authentic and picturesque outdoor experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape into the beauty of nature without the hustle and bustle of more commercialized attractions.

Lynn Canyon Park, located in the mountainous area of North Vancouver, is a scenic canyon forest park. It covers an area of 617 acres. It is a popular hiking destination for locals. Walking along the canyon, the sound of rivers and waterfalls resound through the sky, and the depth of the canyon reaches 150 feet. Looking at the suspension bridge, the water was rapid and turbulent, which was absolutely a truly fantastic show

Did not get to try the cage o since it was closed.

We took this hike just before noon. Right after breakfast we headed down here. There was lots of parking around 11 am. It wasn’t quite busy around that time. This hike was not a very hard hike at all. There are a lot of steps after the water area. Both my kids did the hike with no issues. Felt good after a heavy breakfast to get the blood flowing. Beautiful hike and glad we made it out. It was a very enjoyable hike. The weather was perfect where it wasn’t too hot. Lots of shade from the trees. The air was just so clean out there. This is a must see and do!!

Beautiful falls and super clean water in a rock bed. The suspension bridge is a nice addition! Of course not as big as the other suspension bridge (Capilano) but very nice nonetheless. If I lived in North Vancouver I would probably come visit the park every week. It also has lots of stairs as a mini grouse! Parking is free after 6 (and unreasonably priced before that).

Wonderful hike with beautiful views.Scenery very nice and it is very peaceful there and parking is free. The suspension bridge is closed, but still a wonderful outing .You can spend much time there and take great pictures. Left the Capillano bridge as was too expensive, 50$ cad per person and am not sure it is worth it.Lynn Canyon was great and free.

If you suffer from arrogance and seek humility you should visit this place.

Since Capilano is always crowded and booked, this could be a great alternative. With scenic views of a waterfall, equally scary and adrenaline enduring, it’s surrounded by nature and beauty on all sides. Besides there are dual views- one of the suspension bridge and other as you walk down to the park- another bridge that showcases beautiful views of another rapids of the river.

Beautiful waterfalls and scenic views of nature. Truly immerses oneself into the atmosphere of a forest. Highly recommended for nature lovers!! Good location for people who are looking to get out of the city centre of Vancouver and go for a short hike!

So amazing experience, we were here in rainy day and almost nobody was here. Nice touch with nature, just a few steps from the city. Highly recommended for sure! Washrooms are available, too.

Highly recommend this park! It's free to enter and has lots of wonderful trails to explore. Easy trails for all ages. Ecology Center is a great stop too! By donation drop ins and lots of cool things to learn and check out. Looks like they have lots of programs for kids too, definitely worth looking into!

Such peace and beauty here! Give yourself a few hours to explore. Wear comfy shoes because there are stairs and steep hills BUT it's not a difficult walk. I can't wait to go back in the summer!

Beautiful park to visit in any season. Winter is magical here. The trails are gorgeous with plenty scenery and small hikes to spend a day here.

The bridge is quite narrow and when we stepped on to the bridge and walking along it started shaking and swaying from side to side. So we walked gingerly taking smaller steps. It is best to avoid crossing if there are already too many people on it. It is then difficult to take photographs also when the bridge is shaking.

Beautiful walk across the water, by the water, and along the water with a lovely waterfall as a backdrop. Nicely made trails and steps only enhance the experience.

Beautiful Park with majestic trees and stunning views. The trails are well defined and although there are areas with many stairs, it is worth walking the trail and going down to the river. The tranquility and the smell of the trees, plus the sound of the water running from the river was a wonderful experience. You don't need to pay to enjoy this beautiful place because it is completely free. I recommend you to use proper shoes. Don't forget to visit the Ecology Centre, where I really enjoyed learning about the biodiversity of Lynn Canyon.
