I got everything I was hoping for from my Saturday night dinner here. An authentic tapas experience, great service, and a great atmosphere. If you want the recommended 2-3 tapas per person you'll be paying $20-30 for each one. Get only 2 if you want dessert, I was really full after 3. Also be prepared to tip, the staff was outstanding in everyway and seemed genuinely enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to get David who is definitely a fan of the menu himself and just nailed it with his recommendations for both the food and drink.

My husband and I went for an East Coast Rd. trip for our honeymoon and on the way back before heading back to Ontario we decided to make it 2 night stop at Kingston. We saw that tango Nuevo had really good reviews and I honestly love Mexican cuisine! I will tell you this was not what I expected! The menu was tapas but the variety of the food (around the world, not Mexican) is just amazing! Trying so many restaurants this was by far our most favorite! We talk about it to this day! The spices that they use in their dishes is a Pleasant explosion to your taste buds and everything just melts in your mouth. Let’s not forget the alcohol that espresso martini is just delicious! Highly highly recommended if you’re ever in Kingston to book a place there. The staff was even so nice to give us a call the day of to let us know that we were coming in an hour before the last call that we were more than welcome to come in earlier so that we can benefit from the whole experience! Wow! Tango Nuevo is 10 out of 10 for service, food and ambiance. Service was exceptional, the dishes are an explosion of deliciousness. The restaurant is beautiful decorated and compliments the cuisine perfectly. I can't wait to visit again!!

Flavourful menu, cute patio, Maggie is a super sweet hostess! All the menu options are family Turkish recipes, enjoyable to all. A must for a classier dining experience in Kingston!

Nice ambience and flavourful food but it's expensive. Tapas are usually small portion size dishes so you might have to order 2-3 dishes to make a meal and a better option would be to share. The service and server were great. One of the few restaurants where I found the server was honest and really knew about the menu and cocktails. Overall a good place to try not much for vegetarians there though.

Absolutely outstanding! This is now one of our very favourite restos. The food is to die for - amazing! The service was also top notch. I only wish I were dining here again tonight ;)

Kingstons finest. The food here is stellar; flavourful, diverse, quality and simple. The servers were knowledgeable, happy, and make the whole experience special. The ambiance and location is excellent; I can’t get enough of Tango, my number one recommendation if you are in town. Smaller plates but you get what you pay for.

Absolutely a restaurant well worth visiting. We were blown away by each dish as it was presented and after eating. In total we ordered six tapas that were a perfect number for a couple. Great assortment of wines and cocktails I had the Espresso Martini a perfect combination of the various liquors, the other cocktail was Refresh again a beautiful combo of juices and liquor. Service was excellent without feeling rushed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation well ahead so you wouldn't be disappointed if you don't get a table. So happy we chose to dine here, it was worth the drive from Markham Ont.

Really enjoyed this spot. They have both indoor and outdoor seating which are modern and nicely designed. Our server was very friendly and sparked up a lot of conversation. She also explained the menu to us and gave us quite a few recommendations. The menu is all shared tapas with a fusion of Arabic and Latin foods. Between 3 people we got 6 tapas and 2 desserts and were full by the end. Our favourite tapas were the lamb and the kibbeh- definitely must tries! We will most likely return here on our next visit to Kingston.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at this place. Covid protocols are in place, their patio was warmed up with heaters and inside the restaurant was also tastefully decorated. Service was amazing and they are knowledgeable with what they offer. The food was outstanding! Every single thing they are serving us was prepared and cooked to perfection! The time everything was prepared and served were well coordinated too! This is one of the highlight of our trips in Kingston! Highly recommended!

The Tango NYE dinner was every flavour imaginable and beautifully presented. Our server was absolutely delightful and so genuine, very welcoming and cozy atmosphere. We loved our experience and will definitely be returning.

While they weren't convinced I review everything, here we go. Caroline was incredibly inviting and engaged while that may not have been a theme amongst some of the other staff. The space was clean and the interior, while keeping the focus on its historical features, took advantage of soft lighting that created a rustic yet romantic feel. Tucked away in the far back corner was a private nook that hugged me from all angles, giving me privacy and a sense of seclusion but easily sat 5. While this had not been my first time here, it was the first time I went alone to embrace the atmosphere without distractions. It had been a top contender for me since being in YGK, and I've taken many friends here when they visit. As much as I love entertaining them, this was about me. As an individual, I would recommend using this space for late-night work if you're wanting to embrace the atmosphere. While it's ideal for dates and intimate friendships, you should be able to experience self-love: instead of waiting for someone to invite you to the party; narrowly missing the romance of it, altogether. Overall, I'd give it a 3.5/5

Good western fusion food. The sliced sirloin steak was the highlight; juicy with great complementing sauce. Scallops was seared to perfection.

Certainly the best! Great cocktails and amazing tapas style food. We ordered the Atlantic scallops and the avocado tartare. The food just melts in your mouth. Being here is a different experience. Our server Mj was great too! Totally worth it!!!

Not many places open on a Monday night, so this place was busy! And for good reason. The food was excellent (the green beans and meatballs were my favorite), portions reasonable too. The service was exceptional — our server poured our bottle of wine for us, was very attentive, gave us good recommendations, etc. Would definitely come back!

Drinks were great, always love the atmosphere there. It is definitely the spot for those who want a fun night with a touch of class. The food is always fantastic and the service was great!

Unique and delicious tapas on the downtown main street patio. Went on the weekend for a family birthday because it's a family favourite location. As before, it lived up to our high expectations. Lots of variety and unique choices. Prices are higher than average for tapas, but maybe not surprising given the quality and location. Expect to order 2 dishes per person. Patio seating is covered with clear plastic roofing and also has side curtains. It's a busy location but service was great, being quick and polite. TIP: Make reservations. Parking lots around the area and also on the street a short walk away.

Last came here 15 years ago when our kids were 8 and 11 and they still talk about how good the food was. Fast forward to tonight and it hasn't changed. The avocado tartare was a flavour explosion in your mouth. Wow! Also had the lamb, the eggplant and the potato bravas. All excellent and so full of great flavours. Deserts were awesome - churros and a salted caramel creme brule. Drank a pitcher of red sangria and an espresso martini. Everything was just too notch and there was a great atmosphere. The staff worked really hard. Won't be another 15 years before we get back there again that's for sure.

I was here a few years ago and their vegetarian options then were limited. I was advised by a friend to go again as I was informed they had added several more veggie dishes. To my surprise there were several options. I tried 4 veggie dishes and they were amazing. The atmosphere and service was excellent and I would definitely recommend this place for others visiting Kingston.

Everything about Tango Nuevo was perfect. The food and sauce are all prepared in house. I thought the sauce on the fish tacos would be store bought so I could handle the spice (I'm a wimp with spice) but it was made in house with every ingredient quite ripe thus quite spicy. The server saw my struggle and helped me promptly with a garlic aoli that paired very nicely, and a glass of water and a good chuckle was had by all. I loved it so much that I brought another group of friends the night after.

This is our day trip to Kingston. This restaurant really makes our day, of course. The plates for sharing are not enough. But the food quality and the ingredient combinations are just perfect. Definitely recommend this restaurant, I would prefer to do this as an early dinner, there would be more spaces.

This spot exceeded our expectations! Booked 4 days ahead and every dish was perfect for sharing; I'd recommend two dishes per person. Hard to pick a favorite but the tuna poke nachos, spicy beef, sirloin steaks, and grilled octopus pintxo stood out! They have a patio, but avoid it around 5-6pm due to the sunset glare. Overall, amazing flavors and unique combinations. No complaints!

The flavors were just spectacular and combined perfectly. A really delicious and wonderful dish, created by a very talented chef. As for my expertly crafted Hibiscus Paper Plane🍸 it was incredible! This is not just a restaurant, it is a destination. The ambience is warm and inviting, the decor is chic and beautifully designed with the original stone walls and wooden beams of the historic building. A gem in the heart of Kingston. I went to visit Tango Nuevo for dinner while in Kingston for work upon recommendation from a friend. The place was very nice and spacious, with lots of seating. The place had a very nice ambiance and seems like a great date spot with an extensive cocktail menu and a lot of tapas choices. I was solo dining so ended up getting a couple things to try and a drink. Ordered the Tuna Poke Nachos which used crispy wonton wrappers as the chips and it was very well executed. I also tried the Achiote Grilled Chicken which was a delight especially the black garlic puree it was served with. For the cocktail, I tried the strawberry Balsamic Sour, which was quite nice. Servers and bartenders were really nice and made sure everyone was well taken care of.

Beautifully decorated restaurant with very fine dishes. Smaller plates to share but super delicious. The portions look small but are actually very rich and completely filling. Their non alcoholic sangria was refreshing. Our server Maggie was very sweet and professional with a constant beautiful smile. We sat in the patio for lunch. The patio chairs and stools are beautiful and comfy. I recommend this nice place for sure!

Its a tapas restau-bar in the heart of kingston with a great patio street view. They serve phenomenal food in small portions but the food is so flavorsome that you cant stop trying all tapas variety. Its a really busy place on the street and reserve a table if you are visiting on weekends. Definitely going back for another superb dining experience.

Well nice and light tapas menu. Every option available, carnivores and herbivores will be happy. Had a strawberry and basil margarita.followed with a charcuterie board and asian style fall off the bone ribs. Over all great experience and great service. Will be back for sure.

the food is really good here usually. we ordered take out during the height of the pandemic and when we picked up the order which was approx $70.00 for two peeps there was no food! so little food we were hungry after we ate?! we asked for the sauces on the side to keep the food fresh but they didn’t do that so everything was soggy. too expensive for what you get! no response from the restaurant either 😩😩

If you visit Kingston for nothing else, go to this restaurant. I had 2 bites of the octopus and a sip of a whiskey sour and realized that I had found my favourite restaurant. The food was unbelievably delicious, the atmosphere and decor were welcoming, and the staff were helpful, courteous, and overall lovely. I visited Kingston for my honeymoon and went to this restaurant every day.

This place is amazing. My husband and I were really impressed with their level of cleanliness and precautions in place for Covid. The staff were professional, fast and friendly. The food is so good. I wish we could have ordered every dish on the menu. Will be back for sure!

Last evening we enjoyed a wonderful take out meal from Tango. Thank you and Wow!! The quality and flavour is topnotch (as always). Comfort food has taken on a whole new level of meaning during this shut down...it is a treat and a comfort to get to eat familiar, favourite dishes that have been carefully and expertly prepared by someone other than moi :) The to-go containers were sturdy and well wrapped. Warm food stayed warm and cool food stayed cool. Our bottle of wine was perfectly parred to our meal, and the lemon meringue was heavenly!! Thanks Tango!!

An afternoon of shopping ended with a lovely sampling of sharing plates and wine Roasted brussels sprouts, butternut squash amd avocado tartare So delicious!! covid 19 precautions in place with well done plexiglass dividers between tables. We had so much fun and the food was fabulous each and every dish we chose.

This place had amazing service, food, and an amazing atmosphere. The interior design was unique and beautiful. The food was so flavourful and they had so many different options. Each dish was delicious and the server was so careful with all of our allergies.

Tried this local hotspot for the first time last night and was blown away! Expected great things after reading the reviews and definitely was not disappointed. Everything is sharing/tapas style and the food is divine. We tried dishes featuring eggplant, butternut squash, Asian pork ribs, Achiote chicken skewers, lamb tacos and the best scallops we have ever had. Cannot recommend the squash enough and the pork ribs were also a favourite. We stuck with cocktails after our first round impressed us so much. The pisco sour was excellent with a lovely cinnamon garnish and the speciality manhattan was smoky and the perfect drink for a cold night. Incredible service is what made this experience so seamless. We believe our server’s name was Alex based off of the receipt but we unfortunately didn’t snag her name while dining. She was so knowledgeable about every menu item and guided us through all our choices for the evening. When I couldn’t decide between the tiramisu and churros for dessert she surprised us with an on-the-house order of churros for the road! We’ll definitely be back! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.

We decided to go to Kingston prior to a trip to PEC and we were so glad we did. From the moment you walked in you know this place is special. I had a pisco sour, I don’t drink however after a trip to Chile I became hooked on them and this place has one of the best I’ve had so far. The dishes were all excellent but the highlight was the Tuna Tatake. This place is a gem! We live in Toronto and wish this place was nearby but the charm of the place is the building and the location - Toronto has destroyed older buildings therefore destroying the charm places like this bring.

Enjoyed all the food and wine. The lamb tacos are really good and recommend this dish for lamb lovers. My son like the curry fish. It was light and delicious. Service was prompt and friendly too. Server shared with us the origins of the owners and their passion for food. One small critique is that I wish they had a baby changing station.

Nice little place

Absolutely incredible. Every single thing we got was beyond amazing, I couldn't imagine changing a thing about any of the dishes. They were all piping hot, flavourful and well thought out. Our server Kori was also incredible! It's definitely an upscale, special occasion type of place, but I would definitely go here again.

Amazing service and amazing food! Really a one of a kind experience. Dishes are truly fusion, with flavours from all over the world (mostly Middle East, Caribbean, Europe, South America, Asia). 100% worth the price. I loved the small plates, because everyone could try the dish at once and comment together. Each person should choose about two plates, for it to be enough food. Reservation was easy to make and patio was very nice and comfortable. Although we sat outside, the inside of the restaurant is beautiful and very clean.
