Meal took 1 hour and 40 mins to arrive. The food was barely warm upon arrival. The battered shrimp had triple the amount of batter for a tiny shrimp. And the flavour of all of the food was mediocre at best. Definitely will NOT be ordering from this place again!

This is one of the better Chinese buffets. Lots of variety and the pans of food was full. The ginger beef was a little low but they were closing in a hour. Fruit, salad, soup seafood, sushi. Lots of different ice cream . Rum and raisin ice cream. That was a surprise and lots of people filling there bowls with it. Salt and pepper chicken and squid. Peach honey shrimp. Roast beef, peel and eat shrimp. Shrimp skewers. Very tasty. Glad I stopped to try. Lots of room also. Clean and robot food carts.

The best buffet in Edmonton in my opinion. Lots of varieties of food choices. Dishes are always monitored by their staff to inform their kitchen to refill. Food is always hot and freshly cooked to refill. We love to go when there's Peking duck. Dim sum is one of my favorites in this restaurant. If u love seafood, you will love this restaurant - fried shrimps, crabs and squids are delicious. Friendly staff, clean and spacious restaurant. Highly recommended. My family decided to come back for buffet again today. It's cheaper price on weekdays.

Overall not a bad place for buffet, especially for the whole family. Then everyone gets to decide what they want to eat. Lots of selections - salad, sushi, dim sum, fruit, soup, Chinese chop suey, pasta, and dessert. Service is quite good. They replenished the food but sometimes they will rotate the dishes. For example, deep fried prawn may be rotated with popcorn shrimp. The best food is actually the dim sum - chicken feet are on the menu! The sushi is so so - the sushi rice too vinegary and too sticky for my liking. The cooked veggie are very greasy. Some of the BBQ meat (rib, pork) are a bit dry. The price is right for the quantity of food you get. Definitely a place to check out if buffet dining is your thing.

This place is quite excellent. Most of the food is good, some should be avoided. Just have to try to see what you like (first plate is always a sampler plate). The bathrooms are kept very clean and the tables are cleaned/cleared often. The price is pretty ok for what you get.

I must say they are following covid restrictions strictly. I felt very safe having dinner there. I really like that. The place was really nice and service was very organized. However, the food was good but not a lot of option like before. Dumplings were really good. There were few shrimps items which was really good but for sushi it wasn’t very fresh as the rice portion was a bit hard to chew. Washroom was very clean and enough parking spot available. This is a very big restaurant with a lot of sitting arrangement. What I did not like is the behaviour of the server as she was little rude towards us in the beginning but when it’s time to pay she seems nicer and asking for tips. As we were group of 6 people and paying separate she wasn’t happy with the tips one us paid and she keeps mentioning it before the next person pay. Try not to ask for tips as we are already very open to it (I was a server before and totally understand the importance of tips) but if someone keeps asking for tips before I pay it feels weird.

Just stopped by with some family and had an amazing time. It had a decent crowd in there for what time it was and the service and food was really good! Great mix between real Chinese food and Canadian Chinese food. Ate too much I couldn’t have desert so definitely will be returning! It was a great experience and would be a great place to take your family for any occasion!

We had more than enough to eat, Buffet was filled with varieties, this was what we dished and ate, we called in to make reservations, customer service was good 👍, prompt, detailed and helpful, Buffet starts 4:30pm, ends 8:30pm. We got in and was given mask at the entrance as it's mandatory to wear one while moving around to dish your food, space was neat, there was a huge crowd of people trooping in and out, overall experience with them was Good, Funfilled for a first time visit.

We were on a weekday, in the morning. There were not many people. There is a large parking lot nearby. A robot met us, then a waiter came and led us to the table. A variety of dishes for every taste, everything is fresh and hearty, rolls and sushi are monotonous, mostly with crab meat. Drinks can be ordered separately. The atmosphere is pleasant, there are many tables. Friendly staff, cozy interior. After paying a fixed price, you can eat your fill. Special thanks for the ice cream and desserts, they are the most delicious. More seafood is served in the afternoon.

I’ve been here twice for the lunch buffet and it’s been pretty friggin good both times. They have all the buffet staples you’d expect at the main stations along with dim sum (love the shrimp dumplings) and sushi (the only sushi my wife will eat). The staff is on top of everything making sure it’s all fresh. We’re actually going back again tomorrow to try the evening buffet.

Finding a great buffet restaurant that has quality food and selection in Edmonton is as rare as finding a green eyed girl named Miao Yin. While the selection at Yang Ming was impressive, the quality was less than desirable and the search for Miao Yin continues for another 2000 years. Normally at a buffet, the key is to zero in on the more expensive foods like seafood, prime rib, sashimi and rare items not normally served at buffets to maximize your food to $ ratio. I was curious this evening and tried several different items to properly analyse the quality and strayed from the golden rule. During my visit it was packed and I didn't feel comfortable taking a bunch of photos with strangers in the background to show how vast the variety is. This being said, with a place this busy, the food turnover should guarantee some freshly stocked items from time to time. Unfortunately it wasn't and I felt a lot of the staple Chinese and North American items tasted awful if they even had a taste. After trying out several disappointing samples, I found the most enjoyment from the sashimi (if they stocked it, as it was sitting empty often), the dim sum items (especially the sticky rice) and the Peking duck wraps (if you can score the thicker non dried out cuts) and the BBQ ribs If stuffing your face with over 100 different items for a fair price is your thing, Yang Ming is ideal. Just don't expect much in terms of quality. I did find it a good value for the items that I liked and would probably return for these alone.

Great AYCE Chinese buffet. They have a wide variety of sushi (rice is a bit too wet), salmon sashimi, dim sum and amazing Peking duck wrap. Also includes an incredible selection of dessert and ice cream. Highly recommend this place!

We had been before and I'm glad to see that it's just as good as it used to be. This buffet has a great selection of real Chinese food with the dim sum and Canadian Chinese. In the dim sum the pork dumplings are delicious and they had red bean and pork congi but we found them a bit too watery. They also had chicken feet and mixed veggie dumplings which were pretty good too. We also love the wonton soup here. The wontons are huge and unfortunately the bowls are pretty small so it's hard to get enough soup but the wontons are good just by themselves. For the main dishes we really like the spicy shrimp which isn't spicy if you like spicy food. The sweet and sour pork is good but I found the ginger beef so so this time. So many other great dishes here and they even have a sushi bar if you like that. We didn't have dessert but they had all kinds of ice cream, jello, and cakes and fresh fruits. For drinks they have Pepsi products and pretty good variety of wine and beers. The place from the outside looks really run down but inside the place is clean and actually pretty nice. We loved the big booths and the decor overall is pretty good. The server was quick at taking away old plates and refiling drinks so we never had a big pile which was nice. The only thing they could improve in my opinion is cleanliness of the plates at the buffet. Got quite a few dirty ones but it's always the case in buffets I find so didn't fault the restaurant for that.

SO good. Literally everything we tried was good. There's a dim sum collection, prime rib slices, Peking duck, BBQ pork, tempura, Chinese takeout staples like fried rice and broccoli beef, a huge seafood/sushi bar, soups, salad, dessert. There was some stuff I've never tried before. We had almost everything it feels like and it was all done well. It was busy when we went so it was hard to find parking and we had a short wait to be seated, but despite that the buffet was kept well stocked—I hadn't even realized it until now. We also got to see the robot sing happy birthday to someone at another table, which was cute.

I'm giving it 4 stars with the full disclosure this is not a 4-star restaurant. I want you to realize I gave this 4 stars for the fact you can stuff yourself for under $33.00 (although its cheaper on weekdays and at lunch). So basically 4/5 stars for a cheaper priced buffet. The ambience is kinda a crowded, cheap environment but it seemed clean enough. The buffet itself seemed tidy and well maintained. There was lots of food to choose from. Primarily Chinese dishes but a few things like fries, chicken drumsticks and perogies that would be considered more western. My family enjoyed the fresh made all you can eat sushi. Overall I would recommend. If you are looking for high quality food and ambience then go somewhere else, but if you are looking for pretty decent plus lots of variety and quantity too then definitely give it a try.

This has become one of our go-to places for a good, big meal fast! A good mix of sushi, dim sum, and Chinese buffet offerings with a very small selection of "western" options, usually consisting of roast beef, a couple kinds of potatoes, and gravy. The food is good, hot and abundant!

Yang Ming's buffet, decided to bring my family out to the buffet that has been recommended to us for a while. It is located in Beverly conjoined to hotel. We enter through the hotel lobby and once we arrived we stood and waited a couple minutes in order to be seated, there was a little catering robot at the entrance that was smiling at us and I have to say yes it was cute. We were seated at no time at all and then we were off to scope out the choices. You have to say this about Yang Ming buffet, they have a lot of choices to choose from including a sushi bar and to maintain food in all the containers can be a daunting task. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was good and things were organized in a fashion that it made it very easy to navigate around and get your meal. Our server was polite and they took away our dirty dishes in a timely manner asking if everything was okay and if we needed anything else. About the only thing that I was not impressed about was the chicken balls, it tasted more like a heavy dough ball with chicken inside as the dough was very dense. Other than that we enjoyed our evening and the choices that we had to choose from. We were three people and bought two drinks for a grand total of about $95 which for the amount of choices is very reasonable. I rate this restaurant a 7 out of 10 on the munch meter.

The weekend brunch is price firendly. Took my wife and two year old to this place. Foods are fresh and there were so many choices. Just a note that sashimi is not provided for the brunch. The waitress is very firendly.

Great food, fantastic variety. We love the mix of authentic foods (sushi & dim sum), americanized Chinese (ginger beef, fried rice etc) & North American food (roast beef, fries etc), the list goes on! Clean and friendly. Like most buffets it's quite expensive but something we are willing to pay for a few times a year.

Seven of us dined for a birthday celebration. They have Dim Sum, sushi, a full Chinese and western buffet, roast beef carve, salad bar, desserts, and ice cream. Everything was delicious and it is a very clean and well run establishment. Staff are very attentive and welcoming. The kitty cat robot will show you to your table.

If we don’t catch Covid from this place, I will be genuinely shocked. The only Covid protocol being followed here is they check vaccine QR code with ID. No social distancing, groups larger than 10 dining together, everyone is using the same tongs to dish up, and while they tell everyone to wear their mask while at the buffet, the staff doesn’t actually enforce it 🤢. When we first arrived for the dinner buffet, we were seated in the back corner away from other guests and the restaurant was quiet. The food was very good. The sushi was excellent. But shortly after we arrived large reservations began to fill the room. They packed the groups of people so tightly together, I could barely squeeze between the tables to get around them. More than 10 people were seated together in a group. The attached photo is taken from my seat and shows 2 large groups dining 2 to 3 feet away from each other. Now the buffet was very crowed and guests were not properly wearing masks, some none at all. There was also 2 children (probably between the age of 5-8) were running around and playing with the tongs and food. A staff member who was refilling an item said nothing to the children or mom nearby. The fact that the staff were not trying to protect its guests at all gave us so much anxiety, we had to leave before we had a chance to finish our dinner. We will not be returning to the establishment and encourage those who are still aware of the fact that we are in a pandemic to stay far far away. The food is good, but not worth catching covid for…

We booked a dinner party there for 30+ people and ended up with 45 people with both seniors and adults and children. There was a very large range of food to select. All of the selection was great but the quality of the individual food items varied. Highlights for me were definitely the sushi roll (specifically the salmon and avocado and the salmon sushi), and the diem sum. The diem sum was fabulous, plump and juicy and plentiful. My favorites were the shrimp dumplings and the oyster beancurd rolls with pork. Simply amazing. Some of the other dishes in the buffet were hit and miss, probably due to some lower turnover. The pork dumplings were hard and rubbery, not good. The gai lan green were especially excellent. Some of the salt and pepper squid was awesome but when I went back for more they were very chewy. The wonton soup wasn't good. the wonton filling was large and had no texture. My favorite goto tofu dessert was terrible. If I had stuck with the sushi and the diem sum, it would have been a perfect meal. I want to compliment the staff though, preparing for us and making sure that we had our plates removed in time was tough.

As soon as you walk in you can smell such wonderful aroma you can't but wonder at how good the food is going to be and there is so much to choose from you can't have them all with just one visit.

Great selection of oriental foods. I understand this is mainly Chinese, so every Chinese item is spot on. I love their bean curd roll and dimsum items! But their maki/rice rolls section is lame. Desserts, so so. What I didn't like is their service as staff doesn't seem happy clearing plates off our table. I was also shocked when she demanded a specific amount of tip when we paid 😳 I love their cat robot server, amazing!
