Good food as always! Convenient. Kids friendly. One star less because in the men’s washrooms there is no arrangement for baby diapers change. I managed it somehow but for a single dad with baby it is not convenient. I hope management would put up something to resolve it. Thank you.

A place with great vibe and a great view. The customer service is excellent. The staff is super friendly and very attentive despite of the busy hours. We were immediately seated and food was served quickly. The food is delicious and they have great cocktail options. Overall, it was a lovely experience.

My fiancé and I came to this Jack Astor’s location for a date night out and it was very good! Our server really made the experience the best. He was attentive, funny and prompt. The seating was full inside so we sat outside on the patio, and it was a windy day. He helped us keep everything from flying away! I got their Fish and Chips with a side of Mashed Potatoes. It was absolutely delicious and came out piping hot. The fish was perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes were fluffy and flavourful. My fiancé got their Steak and Fries, and loved his as well. The chipotle mayo he got went perfectly with his steak. I definitely recommend this Jack Astor’s location for a meal out with your family, friends or significant other!

I would probably rate of this place a 3.5 out of 5. The steak we ordered was fine. The cheese garlic bread was my favourite thing I had there, it was pretty good. The pasta I ordered was okay. I found the pasta and it's sauce a bit bland, and the chicken on top salty.

Restaurant in the center of the city, huge in the outside and also in the inside. The crew is always ready to help and very friendly. Drinks and food are good and appreciated, it’s for everyone, families too. The cost is fine with the orders. Recommend. Got to experience this again.

Our first time at this location. Thoroughly, enjoyed our lunch. Service was top notch. Staff was professional. Our waitress Layla was friendly and attentive. Did not have to wait long for the food. Ordered the lobster dip with pita chips and nachos. Dip was creamy and delicious. Wings were tasty and juicy. Fiesta salad was original and made with fresh ingredients. Overall had a fantastic experience. Would definitely come back again.

I've always really liked their chicken tenders. This time I tried lemon pepper seasoning, and it was delicious. For the sides, I’ll prefer sweet potato fries to regular fries. This bar has a lot of space and seating, and the servers are also amiable and fast. It would be lovely r if they had a happy hour special for the beer.

Honestly, maybe it’s just because of the number of drinks I had here, but this is probably my favourite Jack Astor’s that I’ve been to. I came here for after-work drinks with colleagues and had a lovely time. Our servers were great, the drinks were decently priced, and the nachos and truffle fries were amazing. We sat on the patio, which was surprisingly warm/pleasant considering it was an October evening (thanks to the heaters). Absolutely no complaints.

This is my new go to place. With downtown views you get to enjoy the patio and have amazing food. I ordered the Thai bowl which was great. My favourite is the Wonton with chicken. Go with your loved ones and enjoy the summer patio. ❤️😄

Atmosphere inside the restaurant was great. Staff was very friendly and informative. I needed to change my seating midway and they had no issue with accommodating me. I got the Chicken Parmigiana sandwich. Was decent. Not bad, not delicious, don't really think it's worth it considering the portion size and price. Wings as a starter were super tiny, only had about 8 mini wings which can't really be shared with more than 2 people.

The food was great as always but took a while to come. Service was lacking and slow. Wasn't overly busy either.

It's been quite a few years since I've eaten here, and it was even better than the last time! It was a Friday evening, but we didn't have to wait long at all to be seated, and it didn't take long for us to receive our food either. The food was great, and so was the service. I would definitely eat here again, and I highly recommend this place!

Great location, fun atmosphere and very friendly servers! The food is excellent, my go to dishes are the calamari and bruschetta. Make sure to try their chicken wings, they are exceptional! Thanks for always delivering exceptional service!

Oh my, finally a cozy place to dine without having the unwanted sugar in your food even in Canada! The Holy (moly) smoked BBQ burger was the most accurate kind of burger description I have ever tried in a busy restaurant in downtown; smoky, juicy and even hot up to a degree that my kid could finish her own portion. The choice of the meat was excellent. The best part of this experience was the wings, the house-made Buffalo sauce had almost zero sugar and a very low amount of salt, that is unbelievable. Cheers to the Chef! Recommendation: please give your customers more wipes and napkins, I understand it saves some pennies but some may bring your rating down. I hope Alex(Alexandra) will be recognized for her great customer service.

Ordered poutine as my starter and it came stupid quick, ended up being the last of the fries the cook just threw on a plate and tried to sell it like it was good. The gravy was lukewarm and as you can see in the second picture the old top of the gravy that they didn’t mix was on my plate. 3rd picture is the replacement, that took longer like expected because they actually cooked new fries for me. Curds werent melty was so ever. Rest of the food was meh, I think they’re allergic to salt? 202 with food and super sour Moscow Mules/ Ceasars. Keep in mind it was also a Monday, super slow and they couldn’t even execute a poutine.

A great time was had at Jack Astor’s tonight!! I had no idea this location was so big. It’s so nice in there; I went for a work dinner and we waited 2 minutes before we were seated, no time at all. There were about 15 of us and I swear we barely waited for food and apps. The service was so efficient, no issues, just smooth sailing. Our server Nick was very patient, especially for the first timers, who had questions about the menu. I’ll definitely be back over the holidays.

Always come to this location when I come into Toronto. I was meeting a girlfriend that flew in from Texas, we stopped here just to split a pasta before a night filled with drinking. The bartender forgot about our meal, he was beyond apologetic and management took the whole meal off our bill. Very professional, 10/10 would recommend. Ps. The building is GORGEOUS.

We loved all the items that we had ordered i.e. asiago chicken bow-tie pasta, chicken parmigiana and chocolate malted brownie. Service is great. Price is ok considering the food taste, restaurant location(opposite of union station) and the restaurant ambience. Highly recommend this place for great meals.

Being a vegetarian I don’t get much options here but whatever we ordered was good and cheesy 🙄. This place is great if you want to drink and watch a live streaming sport, the vibe matches the place and the servers are friendly. Don’t forget to tip them for their hard work. Must go once on a game night and order some drinks and side dishes. 👍🏻

Just got here after movie. Food and service are great. Michael is very nice and helpful. He is in training but he has knowledge about food and beverage. He helped us to choose the good wine, it is really go well with the food we ordered. Will be back soon 👍.

This bar and grill is the perfect spot for beer and delicious bites. The nachos and chicken wings were especially tasty, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The beer selection was impressive and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and laid-back, with plenty of TVs to catch the game. Overall, this place is a great choice for a casual night out with friends or a fun date night. Don't hesitate to stop by and enjoy the tasty food and great beer selection.

Jack Astor's in Toronto offers a vibrant and lively dining experience. The eclectic menu caters to a variety of tastes, with options ranging from classic comfort food to creative culinary twists. The combination of the lively atmosphere, the refreshing Pink Bubble Bowl, and the flavorful Poke Bowl creates a well-rounded dining experience that caters to both taste and ambiance preferences. The contrast between the fun, colorful drink and the satisfying, health-conscious poke bowl adds to the overall appeal of your dining experience at the restaurant. The ambiance is bustling and energetic, making it a great spot for social gatherings. The attentive staff adds to the positive experience, ensuring customers feel well taken care of. However, wait times during peak hours can be a drawback. Overall, Jack Astor's is a solid choice for those looking for a fun atmosphere and diverse menu options in the heart of Toronto.

It was so much better in the past. Service was not good at all, and nobody was checking on you for a long time. Our food was cold and the only good thing was their lovely drinks. Also, I am really a great fan of their atmosphere, and I wish it will be better in the near future.

What an amazing place to eat! And the service is even better! I sat at the bar and Chelsea took care of me. She was attentive and very pleasant. Not to mention the burger and fries we're absolutely amazing as well. Great atmosphere, beautiful, attentive ladies and amazing food!

Very active Sports Bar in the heart of downtown near the CN Tower, Convention Center and Blue Jays stadium. It’s a big space with a number of seating options for small and large groups. They stay in their lane with all the expected pub and sports bar classics. Nailed everything we had. The bartender was attentive and had a great sense of humor. A large selections of beer, specialty cocktails and menu items. Something for everyone. Reasonable fair prices.

First time in Canada with hubby for quick weekend get away. Our waitress looked like Lauren London she was super cute!! Service was awesome! Food and atmosphere was exceptional. Compliments to the Chef!!! Our Pasta with chicken was delicous... Dessert was everything we could have asked for - layered birthday cake with vanilla ice cream you have to try it. Cant wait to return!!!

Popped in for a quick bite. The service we received from Garry at the bar was 10/10. Super friendly and the service was quick. We told him we were in a hurry and he was able to expedite the order. He even had the bill today for us before we were finished. He recommended the lobster\crab dip. It was so good. Super creamy with sufficient filling. The appetizer came with both pita and tortilla chips 😍

This was our first time going to a Jack Astor's, as Edmonton doesn't have any( wish they did)...our server Matty was awesome and friendly... we got seated quickly as it was quite busy(sporting event happening)... the cost of everything was average, minus the extra tax Toronto has! All of our meals were so good and filling(husband and daughter loved the crispy chicken sandwich). I had the Mexican chicken bowl, which was so flavorful! My son had the kids wing meal, wings were a bit over sauced... the sweet potato fries were nice and hot, crispy and right amount of salt... this location is close to the union train station and there is next to no parking!

Great location for a quick bite to eat. We passed by as we were visiting TO and looking for a place to eat. We were pleasantly surprised by the food. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant and restrooms are very clean. They have lots of items to chose on the menu so you are sure that everyone will find something to their liking.

Ok first off....thank you for staying open past 11pm...it's so difficult since the pandemic to dine in at a restaurant anymore. Late night options are very slim. We headed here after an award show and staff are 🔥 amazing. Fun, friendly and super upbeat! The energy is very welcoming. Ofc I got my usual....the bow tie chicken pasta and gummy bear cocktail. It never disappoints. 10/10....excellent restaurant for everyone....inclusive, safe space ✨️

It’s a great place for a bar time food and ambiance. We really liked the food and the vibe. The drinks were really hood as well and the service was great too. One star less because the steak was a bit bland and too rare for my taste. The sesame chicken bowl was good according to my husband and the lobster dip starter was the beat part.

Monday April 4th, 2022 20:48pm. Came back on my last night and different bar staff. The 2 guys were busy making sure everyone was being served. Didn't wait long before they took my order and they reassured me that I'd be taken care of. Great customer service and exactly what I remembered prior to covid. Yesterday's experience was due to the other bartenders, who im glad wasn't working. Great spot, check it out! Gave them 5 stars instead of the 2 last night. Servers name was Rob. Checked out Jack Astors Sunday night April 3rd. In Toronto for couple days for work. Jack Astor prior to covid was my go to place for night cap or relaxing whenever I'm visiting Toronto. I usually stay at Fairmont Royal York, so it's convenient to check out Jack Astor. Their food and customer service were always good in years past. Place wasnt too busy. Sat at the bar, which also wasn't busy and waited close to 10 minutes before I flagged down one of the bartenders for a drink. There were 2 working. I flagged down the male bartender even though he was the busier of the 2 to order my drink. The other bartender, she was busy talking with what I'm guessing is her friends to notice me waiting. I had tried getting her attention but no luck. Maybe she has something against Vancouverites..lol Had to than ask for a refill drink and for food. I have to admit service was not what I'd expect. I ordered their Mosco Mule and they didn't have the traditional mug, it's unfortunate but not a deal breaker. Customer service for me is always key with myself spending money at their business and tipping amount! I'm in Toronto Monday night too and not sure if I'll return. I like the food at Jack Astors, always been good, but service was worst that I've had in awhile!

Sat in the heated patio after the Jays game to watch the Raptors playoff game. Was quite busy but waitress was able to attend to us in a timely manner. Chicken parmiginia was not bad. Good beer selection.

  • 4/5 Kanchan K. 2 years ago on Google
Wonderful ambiance with friendly staff members. Food portions for starters and main course are pretty decent. The drinks are good too. The only drawback is heavy use of ice on all the drinks even on water. Would suggest having less ice on drinks. If you love games it's a great place to enjoy with friends on their large screens with drinks.

Stopped in for dinner. Atmosphere was good. Food was good but my dish was wrong. Was supposed to be Thai sesame stir fry; came out as Pad Thai noodle bowl. Was still good, but not what I ordered. We also ordered tossed chicken finger meal, lobster and crab dip, angry Jack buger meal, and a kids cheese burger meal.

Was here for a leafs game with a friend. We came around 6pm and it was busy. Luckily we got seated right away. Our server Randy was quick, got our drinks and food right away. We thought we would be late but wow! The service was amazing. Chicken fingers was delicious! Definitely coming again to this location! No need to worry about missing the game as they are on their A GAME! Superb job

One of the best Jack Astor's in downtown. Convenient location, big restaurant, awesome food & drinks, and excellent service. We had visited on 31st Aug, 2021 night and were straight away directed to the empty tables. Our order consisted of below items: Food: Cheese garlic pan bread (must try) Sweet potato fries (must try) French fries (okayish) Nachos (must try) White sauce bow pastas (creamy & dry. Requested extra white sauce) Drinks: Belgian Moon Talls (draught) Blue Raspberry Lemonade Signature cocktail (fishbowl) Small pink bubble bowl Signature cocktail (fishbowl)

  • 4/5 Steph 2 years ago on Google
This jack astors is great, so large and always has seating! Their cocktails are really unique and delicious. The nachos exceeded our expectations, as they were a really good sized portion. The cheesy bread is a must and we always order it as an appetizer. The only downside is that while sitting indoors, it was so hard to find our waiter and get refills and the bill. Still highly recommend this location.
