Very cute coffee, suitable for a coffee/tea/latte to chitchat and catch up with friends or if you want to work, for something light that will take you less than an hour to do. They have cute tables - laptop free and more spots at the back where you can sit to work. There is a one hour limit to the wifi (which is understandable if you want the people in your coffee to flow).

I really enjoyed their food and drink. I am not usually a fan of drinking tea but I loved their London fog. The vibe is also really nice and the staff are friendly.

We ordered their $9 breakfast sandwich and were unfortunately pretty disappointed that the egg was ice cold on both orders - a far cry from justifying the price (and admittedly we both feel a bit ill from the whole thing). Their latte was great the first time I went, although the filter coffee I ordered today was fairly bland - will definitely go again sometime for the italian style coffee but will be skipping the food.

Student / those who need to work stay away and go someplace else!!!! This cafe has a secret policy that you can only use internet for 1 hour per day! When you ask for more to continue to study you are told to come back tomorrow... for another hour ! It’s pretty universal for cafes to provide internet for people wanting to work and study. This cafe disappoints since the coffee is very expensive and they do not offer a good place for study/work

I can understand you don’t want people to work at your place, but why don’t you just… say it? Cutting my wifi connection after 1 hour and displaying a cringy message saying it’s because you want this to be a “welcoming, inclusive” place where “the living is easy”… What’s exactly inclusive about that? It’s like reading random, nonsense marketing quotes - didn’t feel very welcome.

I would wager to say that Pista has arguably the best coffee in the area at a reasonable price. That, plus a good selection of eats, friendly staff and an overall good atmosphere makes this place worth a go.

Nice enough place but they limit your WiFi to 90 minutes and half the tables are in a "laptop-free zone". Only found out after I sat down with my 7$ latte. This place is not for me, but if you're not looking to do any digital work, then it's a fine café. Coffee was good.

While their coffee isn’t necessarily my fav in the city (it’s so very personal, given the crazy variety offered on the market), it’s an exceptional spot with great music, ambiance, mags to thoughtfully read and some of the best scones to enjoy! Also the interior design and the view are lovely.

The coffee shop offers unique styles of beans that will delight the true coffee lover. There's nothing wrong with that. But just looks like a small office.

I think 3/5 is fair. The coffee is just NOT descent. It’s sour. The machine seemed to be working fine so it was not under extraction. Their beans are just too lightly roasted and kept the acidic sour to pass onto you. The pastries are fine. What else they need to work on is having both milk and cream like a descent cafe. Having only coffee cream is not good enough for a cafe.

One of the best third wave café and rostery in the city. Atmosphere: Cozy and refreshing Food: I tried their latte and it has a very rich body with a very balanced taste and creamy buttery aftertaste. I tried also their double chocolate cake and it tasted good but had a little overwhelming sweetnesses Plus points: they have outdoor tables and they sell their own roasted coffee with some cups options Bottom line: a must visit place for coffee lover in Montreal

Amazing croissants, some of the best I have ever had. Cold brew was very good. The music is perfect in my opinion, and the decor as well. Would not change anything and will definitely go back again!

I had the ricotta toast, an espresso and a flat white and was not expecting such quality for the price!!!! It was fairly cheap and the toast and coffee were amazing, will go back! My boyfriend who is also very nitpicky loved the place and had the breakfast croissant sandwich.

Pretty damn good, the food does taste different, in the way that they actually made it themselves. It sort of justified the price of the items because it really sure is original and unique. I think that’s a really key to getting loyal customers because you can’t get a carrot muffin like the one from cafe pista. Just a hip and trendy spot to eat or study

Update. Pista just roasted the Kusillo bean which is roasted dark-ish, it's probably their best dark roast I've ever drank. I've also tried their breakfast sandwich and cake. Superb quality for the price. Refinements all round. It's no wonder why it's always full. Highly recommended Old review: I dislike pista beans for being waaaay too bright roasted or brewed way too coarse to spike your tastebuds with annoying acidity but there's no reason to dislike the spot, the service and the gorgeous vibes in there. If only they could dial the machine to grind finer... Or roast a tiny bit darker?

Nice, big coffee shop. Polite and efficient staff. While the coffee was good, it's nothing special and I've had better elsewhere. Nonetheless, a nice place to sit and chill.

Cute cafe with really nice decor. Prices were a bit high for lunch items. The salmon bagel is over $15 which I find insane. I also got an iced matcha latte but it wasnt really cold and it didnt have much matcha taste in it, it just tasted like milk. Cafe can get really busy at times so you might not have a seat.

The food and coffee were so delicious, the salmon bagel was the best one I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was fresh. The place is also really cute but abit tight. I like the fact that they have an area specific for no computers allowed so that it’s saved for reading or people who are there to eat and not have to work or study :) Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back

Location: On Beaubien, à few blocks east of St. Laurent. Metered street parking is available but hard to come by on weekends. The nearest subway is Beaubien. The place: Small with a few tables. I didn’t stay so didn’t really notice the decor. The goods: I ordered a mocha with almond milk and it was delicious and velvety and perfect 😋. Service: Friendly and quick (I was alone). Price point: A little steep at almost $7.

Beautiful cafe with a few coffee choices in the hoppers and some food options. They have alternative milks (they use minor figures for their oat option). They also sell coffee adjacent accessories and their own brand of coffee in bags of various sizes. When the seasons permit it, they have outside seating. One of the better coffees in the neighbourhood- give it a try! Giving it 5 stars but I'm not entirely sure it is wheelchair accessible. :(

My go to places near Beaubien are Cafellini and LaRue but Cafellini was closed so I gave this a try and I will be back! I am picky about my iced mocha and this one was great - not too sweet, a perfect mix of coffee and chocolate. The croissant was also excellent. I love that there is a no laptop section to encourage human interaction. :)

This is my go to neighbourhood coffee shop. Their coffee is excellent and the food is fresh and delicious! But most importantly, the vibe is always great. The staff is so friendly, really hardworking and warm, very detailed oriented and always making me feel super welcomed! Thank you for being so awesome!

Ordered a Mocha, but could not feel the flavor of the coffee or the chocolate because it was way too sugary. Actually, before I could taste it, someone was complaining to the barista that the hot chocolate was too sugary as well. Service was good.

A really lovely spot. Very Third Wave coffee vibe, which works well with the very high end coffee gear they sell. I sometimes visit for their beans - it’s an excellent little roastery. Haven’t had their food yet but items such as the cheddar-onion scone look great.

(Translated by Google) Impeccable service! Support, impeccable! Quality of coffee, impeccable! One of the best cafe in town. Recently, I no longer had a Chemex filter, on their Instagram they had announced that they had received one but could not place an order on their site, instant support on Facebook, manual invoice and secure payment via a link on their site web and 2 days later my order was outside my door, Chemex and grain filter. A pleasure to order and to talk about them in my entourage! (Original) Service impeccable ! Prise en charge, impeccable ! Qualité du café, impeccable ! Un des meilleurs café en ville. My review is purely for the coffee sold here. Consistently good beans. The seasonal espresso is always good, and there are some interesting SO coffees on offer. The decaf is also one of the best offerings I’ve found to produce a full bodied decaf espresso. Service is friendly too! There have been issues with the card reader in the past and they have comped me my drink. Very good spot in the neighborhood.

(Translated by Google) We liked the cafe and the decor very much, but found the music loud and repetitive (same artist on repeat for the duration of our visit). In addition, customers with computers are asked to sit at the back tables, which puts us just under the loudspeaker and away from the windows. I would not recommend it for those who want to work.

(Translated by Google) I was at the café Pista sur Beaubien and I must admit that I fell in love with their iced coffee !! It is in fact a cold brewed coffee that he serves us on ice! And as hot, I drink it black and without sugar !! A pure delight! On the other hand, their espresso, which was tight, was a little too bitter for my taste ... But from then on, it's strictly a matter of taste !! The cafe is tiny and well appointed and the staff very welcoming and kind !! (Original) J'étais au café Pista sur Beaubien et je dois avoué que j'ai craqué pour leur café glacé!! C'est en fait un café infusé à froid qu'il nous serve sur glace! One of the very few cafes in montreal that makes a proper flat white and carries good roasts. Food tastes great and nicely presented. Service is warm and efficient. There’s a good amount of space for either studying (free WiFi and some power source available), eating, or just have a cup of coffee considering their creative varieties of table configurations. The background music sets a groovy vibe, and the big windows allow ample natural light source to shine through. Overall a very pleasant place to be at. Highly recommend.

Nice little place to hang out or work. Some tables in the back for small groups. They had 2 espresso options, both light roast and both sounded good. The pastry and sandwiche were both great. I like a hazelnut raspberry syrup mix in my latte, so I would suggest adding more syrups, but they had maple syrup which is always good option.
