CAMPGROUND REVIEW- (Canadian Pacific Railroad Tracks)as seen in photo. The train comes by every couple hours and gives you a heart attack every single time especially at 4 am in the morning. The fishing pond is $5 to fish (limit 2). This camp doesn’t have a proper playground where children are able to play. ZOO IS SEPARATE. There’s no way to get to the zoo for campground customers unless you drive. The website is misleading, there’s only golf cart rentals at the zoo not at the campsite. Animals were having a good time after hours and that was all you could hear all night long. Admission costed us $80 and was not worth a penny. No water hookups you have to pay for someone to come fill up for you. If you have children this isn’t the place for you!

This is a delightful place with a variety of animals. While it may not match the scale of near by Zoo, the facilities' managed and maintenance here is superior. Moreover, they have installed a playground for kids and provided ample green space. It is well-suited for families, offering a pleasant environment to spend quality time with children. There are sufficient amenities for kids to walk around and enjoy. The availability of ample parking and indoor stores further enhances the overall experience.

Exceptional wild life park. Both my girls had a lot of fun especially in those unique play structures made from recycled materials all over the park as shown in images. I have attached the videos of few shows and boy the staff are good at that with lively vibe. Kids get to see all those animals from very close proximity with top safety. Ample parking, playground, washroom, sheltered and unsheltered picnic benches. Its quite spacious though, lots of walking, so for your little one bring stroller, food, water, sunscream etc. Over all highly recommended. Check out videos and images and Follow for more.

FINALLY! Someone got the right idea! Come see the zoo/wildlife reserve and spend a night or two. Fall asleep with...WITH the animals. A SAFE place for the whole family to see and learn(something you rarely get at a conventional zoo) from people who have a Passion for the welfare of these animals. If you even Think that you're a wildlife lover then this is a MUST See! Now, if you'll excuse me...Berkley is teasing his neighbours, the wolves. I'll be looking for you all there! (bring loonies!)

We spent the weekend at this beautiful park full of wildlife and camping sites. The park itself was wonderful with tons of animals to see along with presentations on the animals themselves. The campground was full of beautiful green grass, trees and very clean. On the other half it's located right beside the CPR tracks. All hours of the day and night the trains shake your units as they go by. This is also not a full service site as online had stated, you need to pay $10 for a Waterfill, $25 for sewer truck, and it just seemed to be a nickle and dime place everywhere you went $10 per night for a firepit, $1 for 2 minutes in the shower. The staff was super friendly, cute cabins but definitely would not stay in the Campground itself again based on the cost, no hook ups, and the darn train. The Safari park was well worth the price but campground was not!

Our family really enjoyed visiting this wildlife park. Beautiful, healthy, nicely groomed animals in spacious enclosures; manicured lawn; clean facilities; friendly staff. Short lecture on the wolves was interesting and educational. Will definitely be back! Special shout-out to awesome wolf Thor who playfully ran along the fence with my kids:)

I was there is summer and walked around the place. It's fantastic what you are able to see. I can't wait for even more animals to become part of the park. I just did the drive through the light the night displays and it was pretty cool. If you have young children they will love all the lights. If you are looking for awesome Christmas presents such as ornaments or Christmas decor the you should stop by the gift shop they had excellent merchandise for a fantastic price.

We absolutely loved our visit to the Discovery Wildlife Park. My mother in law is visiting from Wales and we wanted to take her to experience this park as we haven't been ourselves. What a fantastic time we had. We rented a golf cart and we meandered through the pathways and stopped to check out the wildlife. Very interesting labels to explain what each animal is and where they are from. We saw that picnic tables were spread out sporadically through out the park to have a picnic. There were also areas for children to play on. The grounds were kept clean and grasses trimmed. A little expensive but fun nonetheless.

Stunning drive thru light display in Innisfail. Easily accessible from Hwy 2, it's $30 per car. At the end of the tour there's a building with souvenirs, food and washrooms. The Grinch was there for photos.

This is a nice place, difference kind of animals there. May be the scale is not seem like Calgary Zoo, but here facilities maintenance is better. Also, here installed playground for kids and have widen grass. It is suit for family reach. Finally, we appreciated the trainer for bear presentation, it very interesting and detail. Thank you all associate give us unforgettable experience.

Visited this beautiful park first time for Christmas light the night. A stunning drive for 20km+ along the colourful display of lights all around! My kids really enjoyed themselves, their favourite part was meeting the grinch, clicking photos with him! We brought some snacks and Christmas decor from the little store they have for guests! A must see; do support them ❤️ Definitely going to come back in the summer to see the animals and probably camping as well. Overall a sweet experience!

Just got back to Calgary from a visit to Discovery Wildlife Park in Innisfail, about a 1-hour drive. After visiting all the beautiful animals (including lions, camels, cougars, elk, bears, wolves, ostriches, porcupines, and so many more), we learned that the animals there tend to be rescues from such situations as orphans, confiscation, and zoo breeding programs. I now understand that such parks give these beautiful animals a place to live their lives in a safe place where they're nourished and otherwise well-cared for. Thanks so much to owners and staff for providing and caring for such a facility. One more small note: before visiting, I had mistakenly thought that we would be able to drive our car through the park. When we arrived, we were told that the walking route was about 1 km. We were with my 83 year-old mother, and I'd forgotten to bring the wheelchair. Fortunately, there were golf carts available for rent (show driver's licence & credit card) for a reasonable fee. So we did that, and a wheelchair would probably not have helped anyway as the paths are gravel. We'll be visiting again soon, on a season's pass next time!
