One of the best places to have Poke bowl in Burnaby! This spot, despite being small, is very nice and clean. Decors are very modern and cute. The service was amazing! The server happily greeted us when we entered the place. We had never had Poke bowls before, so the server let us try the different seasoned sashimi in various bowls. He also friendly advised us which one he personally liked. That was very considerate of him! The poke bowls were insanely yummy! We didn’t know what to order so we asked the server to add in almost all no-extra-charge ingredients available. Amazingly, they all tasted good both as an individual and as a whole! I’d recommend adding their special sauce to make it even tastier! Overal, 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and.... Will go back for sure!

Delicious poke bowls at a pretty good price. This Hawaiian style poke bar, located in SFU, beat our expectations. Great people working there. We tried the shoyu salmon and the spicy mayo salmon w/ all the toppings (including pineapple, yum!) and quinoa (choice of quinoa, rice, salad). (California Dreamin' + Mayo Spice Me Up). They were both amazing but I gotta hand it to the shoyu sauce. It was amazing! The spicy mayo was good but the shoyu stole the scene. Great service, the people working there gave us samples to help us decide. Will definitely be going back. A++

Delicious poke bowl for a good value price considering the portions are pretty good! Build your own bowl for less than $15. The staff was very friendly and helpful when explaining the sauces and different toppings. Would definitely recommend!

Went to Steve's Poke Bar in SFU, this was the first time that I was trying Poke as a dish !! I was attended very patiently as I understood about the dish. Opted for make your own poke bowl. Took base of Rice & Salad, spicy sauces, Salmon and Tuna fish scoops (spicy), all toppings were excellent. Quantity was sufficient and price reasonable. Staff who attended was really helpful.

i've been going to this place since it first opened and i still buy food from here very frequently. it's one of my favourite local food joints. it's quality food. now that the business is so successful and other locations have opened, i hope the price can drop a bit.

This place is tucked away under the main row of restaurants up at SFU, but I'm really glad I found it. This place, the Vietnamese restaurant on the side, and Togo Sushi are the only on-campus options for great food that isn't junk. I've had 2 or 3 bowls from them, and they've consistently tasted really nice and fresh. Would highly recommend the spicy ahi tuna on rice with shoyu sauce. Only reason I'm taking off a star is because of the tiny scoops of fish they provide. 2 scoops is a pretty average amount of fish in a poke bowl I'd say, and you need to pay extra for the 2nd scoop. You end up with tons of rice and no fish after being about halfway through the bowl.

In general, the whole chain of Steve's Poke Bars delivers constantly. But I like this location in particular as we would stop by after walking around SFU and Burnaby Mountain for a meal that completes a delightful experience. The staff is very friendly, and the ingredients are fresh. I like spicy protein in my poke bowl, and they offer the best variety of spicy seafood. Plus, remember to collect points. The rewards are pretty decent.

I love Steve’s poke! As someone who isn’t around this location all too often, I usually order takeout. I am also celiac, so I would love an option to mention that in the notes of my DoorDash order. When in person, the staff is always super helpful and knowledgeable (and also safe) with my food! I wish the portions were a bit bigger. The to-go container size feels a bit restrictive 😃

Ordered delivery from this restaurant. Was floored by how great it was! Fresh ingredients, lots of food and great presentation! The taste was exceptional with great flavour from the different house made sauces! Will order again

Knew I’d be up at Burnaby Mountain and in need of dinner tonight so called ahead and was told they were open til 8 pm. Bought a groupon in anticipation of eating dinner there. Arrived 7:08 pm to be told they were already closed. Wasted time, money and gas thanks to the staff member’s false info.

Great service, lots of food for the money, and a nice tropical atmosphere in the midst of a cold rainy campus.

Perhaps not the worst option to eat on the SFU campus but not worth the $ for what you pay. Two small ladies each paid over $25 per bowel but the portion was tiny. We ended up ordering A&W as we were still hungry.

Great Poke Bar. Staffs are nice and friendly. Great portion for the price. I'd highly recommend this place if you haven't try poke bowl.

Food is great and the service is even better! Each time I come the staff is always amazing and I leave feeling super happy and glad I chose to get my food here!! I just moved into the area so I’ll definitely be back again and again! :) Also the spicy musubi bowl was to die for.

The quality of the fish at Steve’s is typically pretty good but when I ordered the Salmon shoyu bowl, the salmon was not fresh at all. Tasted almost like it was just diced smoked salmon? Something wasn’t right, couldn’t eat it. If poke costs $20, it should absolutely be fresh.

Really disappointed! I asked to put more of the radish but they said “we are out of radish and can put only a limited amount”. Why do you guys suggest radish as a topping which are almost sold out? They put only 5 pieces of radish.

Their $12 Build Your Own Bowl is so worth it!! Feels more than enough for me. There are many delicious toppings and sauces. Getting broke soon because of this place LOL

Fave poke restaurant in town!

AMAZING. Restaurant poke is $17-20 and small portions. Not very many toppings. This is like if subway and Hawaii had a love child. Pick and choose what you want, how much you want, and it will be max $15. I’ve had poke in Maui and this was better!!

WOW - to be honest I never had something this amazing before. I just ordered my first ever poke bowl from ubereats. I was a little hesitant and told them that it was my first ever poke bowl in my order..The design and taste was amazing. Definitely gonna order once or more every week! :) Can we also give more than 5 star to this store!!!

Was out for a drive and decided to stop by for a late lunch. Ordered on line and waited outside until it was ready. While we were waiting, Conner came out of the store and found us to specifiy some of the ingredients we chose had wheat in them (as I had requested the g-free sauce). We were very impressed with the customer service and quality of the food at this location - just wished I lived closer so we could go more often!!

The food is fresh and delicious and I love to be able to customize it the way I want. Far superior to poke I’ve had in a restaurant and for less money. The staff at SFU are always great and very friendly. My new favorite place for lunch

A great alternative to sushi rolls! everything you want into one bowl! Simply delish. Its hard to behave with the Steve's Poke crave, Can't stop won't stop because its my new fave. I been to many locations and all the employee's seem very nice! great customer service.

The nice young man at the SFU location was amazing when we visited on Saturday afternoon around 3:00 p.m.! After we got our orders he was saying that it was dead all day and then 10 people showed up in 10 minutes so they were swamped but he was able to be professional and handle all the orders and everyone was happy!

We had our firs Poke today. Our daughter and our 2 Grandgirls brought it for us to try. Wasn't exactly sure what we were getting, except from seeing the picture online. We both had the California Dreaming which our Granddaughter recommended. It was really good and we know it won't be the last time we have it!! Thank you!!

Ever since they made the bowls to be one consistent size, I have had no issues with the value I get from Steve's Poke Bar at SFU. Really makes for a filling meal!

They servers are always generous and confirm your happy with the quantity of every item. Excellent value! Love the selection of bases, toppings, and sauces. Both Steve’s locations (SFU Burnaby Mtn and New West) are fabulous. I’m always disappointed by other Poke restaurants.

Great place for fresh fish in the style of Poké. Always delicious and top notch service. Ingredients are very fresh. Reading the review below by audrey - doesn't make sense. She ate the food every other day for 10 months and not getting a bowl, she rates this fantastic place a 1 star. The food was great! She just didnt get something for free, not cool audrey.

So this is a restaurant I have been ordering from online and in store about 3-4 times a month for the past 10 months. The same order all the time. Never an issue in the past. Then today I go into the SFU location and was told I would have to be charged for A WHOLE OTHER BOWL just so that I could have my rice separate. Literally just a paper bowl. While the girl behind the counter was nice, the mean manager lady refused and argued with me. Over a paper bowl. So I walked out. Im not paying another 12$ (or whatever it is) for a piece of paper. I will never be going back after the bad service I have received from there. She did not attempt to accommodate me in any way and was very condescending. 🤢 BYE.

Super fresh ingredients, and generous portion sizes. Added a note asking for extra rice and it was perfect! Could have done with a little more sauce but overall amazing! Love you Steve’s!
