This was our first time eating at Curry Delight in Mount Pearl, the food was delicious. We both had meat combo 1. My wife had the masala chicken with curry rice and lentils curry. I had the spicer version of the chicken they had. I’m not sure if it was a spicer version of the masala but either way it was delicious on the curry rice. Make sure to try the chick pea curry, it was soooo good. It had a little sweetness to it, yum! The Pakora was good too. If you you want to try something new and you are at the Farmers Market in St. John’s or are near the corner of Park Avenue and Smallwood Drive in Mount Pearl you have to try this out. You won’t be disappointed!

I was very disappointed in the portion size. We spent $55 plus tip for two adults and one child. When we got home we had to put on a pot of rice and extra nan. The menu stated 2 small pieces of naan per order so we ordered 4 but only got 4 pieces, It was equivalent to one whole naan total. The butter chicken had a nice flavour but was mostly sauce with hardly any chicken chunks, definitely not what I would consider a large 4 person portion. This order had as follows: Large butter chicken Naan x 4 Rice x 2 Chick pea curry Samosas x 2

Great food, adequate service but not much for comfort. Not very inviting.

Lovely young man, clean neat place, but unfortunately underwhelming food. Nowhere near authentic flavour as it is flavourless. Rice and chicken is good enough but a complete lack of care in the veggie dishes as well as undercooked Chana masala. Naans are bought at the store and popped in the toaster. Disappointing as I was yearning for some authentic Pakistani or even Indian food during my visit to St. John’s. Simply too expensive, $65 for two where my table mate was complaining of hunger afterwards. Wishing the best for those involved.

Middle of the road restaurant here. Watery and salty curry with a strange consistency. Served on top of and semi mixed with the other curries in one container. Maybe made worse by the mixing of elements; it could possibly benefit from a sectioned container. Reminiscent of cafeteria food.

The best desi food in St. John’s! Flavour-packed and so inclusive! I like spicy food and trust me, this is the place to be for it! Their specials are to die for and they even have gluten free and mildly spiced delicacies to appeal to everyone! Definite recommend!

Excellent food, very flavourful. Good service. Spartan restaurant. I usually take out. A favorite of mine.

I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. The lady who owns the place served us and was very friendly. There were three levels of curry available (mild, medium and hot) and she had a couple of meat, vegetable and lentil/chickpea sides. The prices were very reasonable and the restaurant appeared very clean. The only downside was the cafeteria type atmosphere. Other than that, I'd highly recommend!

Best little family owned curry place in town. 11/10 recommend, *everything* is always delicious. They have spicy and non spicy options for those who are less into the heat. They also have a stand at the Farmer’s Market. If you’re looking for take out, they happily accommodate if you bring your own container!

Amazing food, and amazing staff. Everything was fresh and delicious. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our order. The pakoras were even made fresh just for us, and they were incredible. We can't wait to go back! Thank you so much!

My wife recently discovered this little gem of a restaurant, and don't we love it. I don't consider myself one for hot or spicy food, but this place uses just the right amount in their dishes. They have a variety of dishes to try, and everything I have had so far has been excellent. I highly reccomend their various paneer dishes. As for pricing for value, it is excellent, and the portion sizing is perfect. If your in the area deffenently stop in and try their food.

Verdict: Its nutritious, delicious take out. 15$ a meal is a wee bit pricy but the flavour and how it fills you up is well worth the money. Butter chicken - delicious sauce, excellent smooth textures. Tender chicken breast. What an excellent mild aftertaste of spice. Delicious. Perfectly cooked rice, excellent flavour on the curry rice. The curry rice was fairly mild though, barely noticeable. Still real good. Chicken masala- perfect level of spice. The chickens a little bit dry.. the flavour and wetness of the sauce didnt really penetrate the chicken enough to give that juicyness. Pretty good still. Black chickpea and potato- Black chickpea- absolutely fantastic. Healthy source of excellence. Great texture, great taste. Potatoes: chunks are a bit too big. The exterior surface of the potatos are slightly overcooked with the inside of potato a wee bit scrunchy. Very minor details, but still. Vegetable samosa- absolutely fantastic, perfect crispy texture outside, nice flavor on vegetable stuffing. Wouldve liked more than just one. Grilled panada / donair bread thing- pretty spongey and dry. Might as well get a burrito wrap from the fridge and chew on that instead. Level of fullness after eating: ate half of a meat combo #2 and Im absolutely stuffed. Definitely more nutritious than fast food, must be. Delicious food, nutritious and filling, lil pricey, but worth it. We’ll be coming back! Cheers
