It was our first visit of this park. We decided to hike Mount Chocolate. The trail was very well maintained and clearly marked, so it is hard to be lost. The place is beautiful and very family friendly. Many interesting spots for kids. Check out the castle and suspended bridge. I've added more info on our Adventurion blog and Adventurion channel.

Very nice park and very friendly for campers. The info centre provides free shower and drinkable water. We camped at Beaudoin and there was a stream nearby, we slept listening to the relaxing sound of the stream. End of June there seems to be some bugs, bring bug spray or net and enjoy your stay!

First of all, let me say that I would have stayed longer than just one night at this beautiful park. Helpful staff! And the location for the camping was perfect. Right beside a stream. Neighbouring campers were respectful and not too loud at all. You aren’t too close to each other so you still have quite a bit of privacy regardless. Campsites have an on-location site where you can burn logs (that you can buy at the accueil if needed but I would suggest buying birch or maple and not what they sell although it burns quick and helps the fire start up). They have porto potties, so no worries, you don’t have to poo in a hole and bury it. Apparently they have showers (although haven’t seen it in person). The STARS you can see on a clear night sky is insane and humbling. Also! One thing also worth mentioning was the fact that there was almost zero to no mosquitoes! We drove there all the way from Montreal! The drive was long, yes, but the experience just for the day was worth it. Overall, awesome.

We when for a snowshoe hike at the « camp de base » shelter. 7km hike with around 200m of elevation. The elevation is mainly in the last 2 km. Beautiful hoke around the river with a couple of brodge to cross. The shelter was really good! Pot and pans, paper for the stove, wood in quantity and 2 big jugs of deinlable water was waiting for us! Don’t hesitate, go for it. Was a good weekend with friends!

We had a terrific, private and deeply wooded site that was just what we were looking for to get away from city life. Wonderful trail networks, and interesting things for the kids (a simple playground and piste d'herbergement) kept things fun. A wonderful and natural experience!
