Long wait times without any way to track your position in line create a terrible waiting experience. If you fall asleep (sleep apnea or narcolepsy) no one will wake you up when it's you turn. The ER can be fast at times (early morning week days) but on this occasion I waited over 5hrs to see a doctor for pneumonia. What really frustrates me is that they didn't give me the right dose on the first visit so I had to comeback a week later!

Complete negligence! My girlfriend is waiting for bloodwork to be done, and I am not allowed on site due to COVID-19 to be with her. A man is following her around the waiting room, staring at her and making her incredibly uncomfortable - he even followed her to the xray section and security is doing nothing. She asked security to let her wait in a safe private space, and the security guard said "Why? He looks nice" Also, the front desk attendant only speaks French - this is a HOSPITAL Who is hiring these people? INCREDIBLE

Sadly one of the worst hospitals that I have visited. Unreasonable wait time. Staff was nice but unorganized and inefficient because of lack or processes running left and right. Allergy scratch test wait area is crammed with people coughing. Had to catch a lady who tripped on a loose extension cord running from side to side in the hallway. Going to a private clinic. The way this hospital operates is third world like.

Fall from bike in a pothole in a park in Verdun: transport to emergency around 8:30 p.m. 4 hours of waiting to see the doc. Immediate radio. I saw the doc again 30 minutes later. At 1:30 a.m. we were outside. Pleasant staff, little waiting, a competent and kind doctor! I was lucky ☺️🤞 Thanks to the emergency team!!

This is my third time going to the emergency ward.. my experiences are as follows: 1st time: went at around 11 in the morning, the process was fast and efficient and got to meet the doctor within 3hrs. The problem was that the doctor prescribed me the category of medicine which I am allergic to, even though I had informed him about the same at the start. 2nd time: went at around 3 in the afternoon and it wasn’t until 10 at night did I finally got to see the doctor!!! 7hrs!! I sat for 7hrs waiting to see the doctor, was empty stomach cause never thought it would take so much time! AND had a major headache while waiting all those hours! This time the doctor was quite nice and professional! 3rd time: I thought it was because I went late in the afternoon last time thus that long wait, hence I went at 8:30 in the morning! I was in pain since last night but didn’t wanna wait for 7 or so hrs again so had to bear with the pain for a night to get here as early as possible. And guess what it’s 1:15 in the afternoon and I’m still waiting to meet the doctor!! I mean what is this? I’m in this awful pain since last night and sitting in an emergency ward for like 4.5 hrs to just see a doctor?! I had to take some talenol medicine to ease my pain… if I had to take this medicine I would rather have stayed home? The nurses were quite rude and too much in a hurry to listen to me in general! Mind you I’m not a native and obviously cannot speak French fluently but I can understand it… and guess what?when I told the nurses “sorry but my French is not fluent…” They seemed frustrated and one said to the other “oh well, you gotta speak English”. RIGHT.AT.MY.FACE! I’m deeply lead down by this treatment.

Arrived by ambulance at midnight. I had blood tests several times within 90 minutes. Then I was put into ICU for 4 days. Amazing care by overworked nurses, doctors, & all staff. Special thank you to Dr. Proulx who daily visited me, spent time explaining what had happened, answered my questions. A great big THANK YOU to all the staff! You are an amazing group of men & women!

AFTER MIDNIGHT ONLY ONE 1 DOCTOR ON SERVICE FOR THE EMERGENCIES!!! I know that to complain about an emergency room it's just waist of time... BUT! This is about the French lady (French cause she is from France) I understood that working in this kind of environment must be very stressful! But... Why she must be so empathetic, from my point of view looks like she didn't care, that actually I was bugging her. I wish I knew her name to post it!

I've been in Hospitals with my daughter since she's been born. She has a lot of health issue due to her syndrome. Today has been the worst I've ever seen in service. I gave the Hospital 1 star cause we waited 7 hours to be called into a room and waited more than an hour to be seen. I've always been happy with the service and care in the past,I understand that we have to be patience, but this was ridiculous. I'm a patience person. Hope things will change.

I would like to thank the emergency staff, both in triage and in medical and nursing care. All the staff, without exception, showed kindness and attention and I felt reassured throughout. my short stay. Thank you to all of you!

Lack of respect by the staff for no reason. I went by ambulance today at 3:30 p.m. with my friend because he had a very serious fall on his back, he could no longer feel his lower limbs. So we arrive at the hospital and he goes through triage and he is told to wait, however intense pain suddenly took hold of him and so I go to the nurse who takes care of triage (around 4-4:30 p.m.) for him ask if he can give him a calm while waiting for him to see the doctor then if it was possible to have a blanket, the nurse looks at me is done 🤷🤷 so I go back to sit in my place and a while later he comes back with a code of life manual.. I want to point out that I am in no way disrespecting this one and I understand that they are overwhelmed with work but why bring me the code of life manual??? For what purpose??and what's more he took the time to look for the code of life and bring it back to me when he could have done something for my friend!! Completely above by this unnecessary lack of respect! This nurse showed gratuitous meanness, sad to know that this is the type of person who works in our hospitals 👎🏻👎🏻

My SO was injured in a hit and run. Although she was not bleeding, we wanted to get her checked out asap. It started hurting a lot. We arrived to the hospital's emergency room. After 4+ hours, her name was called. The doctor told her that her shoulder muscles are just pulled. He also said that the pain will get worst before I healing itself. Painkillers was supposed to help but it didn't do anything. We have a 6 week infant who relies on both parents. You can see how that situation panned out.

I’ve been waiting 12 hours and no doctor in sight. Usually I wait from 6 to 8 hours but this must be a record. Arrived a 7pm and unfortunately I had to leave before seeing a doctor because I had to leave for work at 7am and couldn’t wait any longer.

Wife stayed for back problems, she got aired to a ward and the nurses ignored her for 4 hours despite several calls. My wife then decided to go home of her own accord but was told by the attending doctor she was on a psychiatric hold because of suicidal threats. Turns out of wife never made those threats, almost impossible as she was onassive pain meds and slept 20 hrs a day, and was told by the floor doctor the next day that wasn't a thing. So she was detained against her will. Add to that my wife has now gone home and the hospital staff refused to return her Medicare card to her. Negative 3 stars.

Quick processing time each visit ive made (~5 visits) in 3 yrs and friendly/helpful staff. Def less wait time than St Marys, MGH or JGH. Your best bet is having a family doctor otherwise you're the dog chasing their tail; our health care system in a nutshell. To the staff Ive dealt with so far, awesome keep up the good work!

Went into the emergency late afternoon on new years eve and got treatment within 6 hours. Staff was nice, doctors were nice. I'm feeling a lot better! Considering the horror stories you hear these days about wait times, I consider 6 hours to be pretty reasonable. Thanks Verdun Emergency!

Arrived at 9 yesterday and was there until 3 30AM. They did not address my problems. I l haven't slept in 2 days due to pain and sitting in a waiting room, but the doctor told me they won't address more than one thing at a time. Absolutely terrible service and I was rushed the whole time. Rather pay extra for someone who actually cares. Edit: Lowered from 2 stars to 1 since the response from the owner shows just how much they care about their patients.

Best ER in Montreal; have been to all others in the last two years. Nothing beats this level of affectionate ER nurses (more than one over couple of days). They are all very polite, calm and professional. Most importantly the wait time is very small compared to other big hospitals in Montreal. Hats off to the ER Nurses doing their job in the most effective manner!

Nice doctors,Nice place, good experience, BAD treatment The staff is really friendly and nice. Partly of the space is under construction I was hid by a car And sent to the emergency room The staff and doctors are really friendly But the check is so simple. I hope the doctor can give me some advice or a prescription. But doctors just tell me to take some pills. I would give a five stars if they can give me a overall check.

No wifi - FYI because you’ll be waiting a long time. (Which is pretty normal at emergency rooms) Front desk dude couldn’t understand English well so I waited in waiting room for 2 hours then came back and another person was behind the desk and told me to go to triage hahaha Everybody was decently nice though. I was in a good mood so nothing really got to me but if you’re in a bad mood you’re going to have a bad time. (Again, normal for waiting rooms haha)
