AMAZING imperial cookies. They also did our wedding cake - best wedding cake, so delicious and fresh - buttercream. Belinda runs a wonderful bakery with great staff. Highly recommend. Also check out their red velvet cake, it's unbelievable.

I have ordered 3 cakes here over the years. So many flavour options, and always turned out exactly how we wanted. We always get the red velvet as it’s everyone’s favourite! Highly recommend!

We ordered a small wedding cake and a variety of cookies for our reception and we couldn’t be happier! Everything was delicious and the cookies were a huge hit at the wedding! They also accommodated our date change due to Covid with no issues. Thank you!

They have a splendid variety of baked goods available. Good flavours and not too sweet on the items I got! They have sanitizer ready at the door and when you pay and also have covid protocol markings on the floor. Would recommend.

I have been going to High Tea Bakery for years, and every visit is lovely! The staff is friendly and professional, Belinda is fabulous and the treats are exceptional. I haven’t tried everything, but stand outs are definitely the mini imperials, lemon squares, scones, Earl Grey cookies, and any fancy “lace” cookie that they decorate for any holiday (Christmas, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, etc.) I feel like the price is reasonable for the quality and expertise given (I have tried to make flood icing myself and intricately decorate cookies—it’s definitely a skill that requires a steady hand and a lot of patience!) Not my forte! I’m much happier leaving such things to the experts. Definitely stop by High Tea if you want to give a special treat to someone (or yourself.) ;)

Great selection of flavourful cookies, dainties, scones and seasonally decorated cookies. Wonderful selection of teas are available. Pleasant staff. Social distancing and mask wearing are required for both staff and clients.

I got four cookies from the bakery since I wanna play it safe when I visit a new bakery😂They tasted very good and I can taste the buttery in them. The circle one is the best among the three flavours, so make sure you buy that when you visit the bakery!

Heard great things, first visit. One of the best Imperial cookies I’ve had in the city, a bit jam and icing dominant but great texture. Lemon poppyseed shortbread is butter-forward and more on the savoury side. They have a good coffee and tea selection but it’s definitely an afterthought in quality to the bakery offerings. Lovely atmosphere, but loud pop country music was a deterrent though maybe to other’s taste.

This is a hidden gem. The imperial cookies were brag-worthy (and I also got a whole box of other cookies). The London Fog was excellent, the service was great, and the ambiance is exactly what I love in a tea house. I WILL be back.

It's a cute place with delicious food, coffee and kind staff. What takes off a star is seating. There are only two tables available during the winter season and they are both beside the main door that when opened as frequently as it is, makes it very cold to sit and socialize. They need to reconsider their seating if they want to have that aspect available to patrons.

My husband and I came here for a walk, and we purchased some tea, and cookies for ourselves. It is a unique little shop with great curb appeal, and an upstairs tearoom. The cookies that we purchased from this little bakery were very good.

Wonderful sugar cookies, butter tarts and cupcakes. Great variety of espresso drinks and tea. The sitting area upstairs is very cozy and the service is great. Would highly recommend!

I've wanted to go to the High Tea Bakery for years! Finally made it and wasn't disappointed. I shared a pot of loose leaf Paris tea with my Mom. It was delish. Also had the famous Imperial cookie which was so tasty and excellent. My cousin really enjoyed it too. The second cookie I had was the Chocolate Crinkle cookie. Yummy! Our server was Taryn and she was excellent! She had a real interest in the teas and food items. She also was a great server and so calm and friendly. I can't wait to go back!

High Tea Bakery recently provided cookies and dainties to a corporate event we hosted and I could not be more impressed. They were fantastic in setting up the display in our facility and made cookies and tasty treats that clearly reflected who we are. I would not hesitate to use them again and have already passed along their name to others! My only negative...my own fault, I did not order enough to keep some for myself. ;-)

Got my wedding cake made here over 10 years ago!!!🙂. Stopped in today for a coffee and treat and absolutely loved the upstairs decor. Great seating! Warm environment - they make it look vintage and pay tribute to the area being over 100yrs old.!! Definitely recommend. Love the crown molding and old touches.😍 The queen would be impressed 👏

The imperial cookies are perfection! The shortbread is so light, crispy, and buttery. The jam is just the right consistency with a sweet and fruity flavour, and the royal icing is sweet and bursting with flavours of almond extract.

Decided to come here after following High Tea Bakery on social media for a while. I wanted to try them out before I made a decision on catering for an event I was planning. I went in, purchased an assortment of cookies and was pleasantly surprised by how good they were. Unfortunately, the attitude of the girl at the front was not expected and incredibly disappointing. Barely said a word to me, prepared the cookies for me and not even a “thank you” or a “have a nice day”. I paid and I left. I know we all have bad days but this soured my experience. Appreciate the attention to making good products, though.

Always the best imperial cookies! Love having them custom decorated for parties and special occasions. Also make great "Winnipeg" gifts when visiting friends and family on vacation. :)

High Tea Bakery is always a pleasure to visit. I highly recommend venturing upstairs with some cookies if you visit. Their upstairs seating is really comfortable -- (they even have a couch) -- and I love how the sun streams in through the corner windows. As for their cookies, they're delightful and made in-house.

Such a great place to get delicious treats. Don't miss out on the butter tarts, the Imperial cookies or the amazing scones!

We ordered baked goods for a special occasion and were running late to pick up. They stayed after hours to accommodate our special pickup. The baked goods are amazing, the customer service is too.

They were great to work with! Easy to order, easy to pay, and easy to pick up. Great personable staff. They even stayed late on a Friday night to ensure I could pick up my order. Plus the cookies I ordered tasted amazing. Highly recommended!

The best bakery in Winnipeg and a gem of a place in our city. The imperial cookies are amazing. What are you waiting for?! Go buy some!

Haven't tried their products yet but my sister in law loves their dainties. Their customer service was excellent when inquiring/purchasing wedding shower cookies and wedding cake! Thank you!

I can't believe I've never heard of this place. I love cafe hopping and I randomly saw this place. Didn't know they had a second floor! The cookies and macaroon were so delicious and the interior was so aesthetically pleasing. Easily 5/5!!!

One of my favorite bakeries in WPG. I love their pastries and the place itself. It is not in downtown or any touristic site so you have to go specially there. But it is worth it

Coffee - latte 3 (hot and too foamy) Bakery 3.5 Vibe 3.5 Would I visit the place again? - not sure. This is a rather difficult review for me. Feels like a place with lots of unrealized potential. They offer coffee options but not really good at making it. Lots of bakery options, with some even quite interesting, but not something i would try again. They have a nicely designed sitting area on the second floor but it is sort of in between offices, washroom and the bakery.

The High Tea Bakery is a Winnipeg treasure. I have a weakness for fine pastry and have been lucky enough to indulge in the most sophisticated afternoon teas and the best patisseries in London, Paris, New York, Chicago, San Fransisco, Vancouver and Montreal. High Tea Bakery in Winnipeg easily rivals the masters. Their lemon tarts feature tangy lemon sweetness nestled inside impossibly delicate pastry. Their pretty macarons are fresh, chewy and bursting with flavour. They feature a variety of extraordinary cookies including their signature raspberry and almond flavoured “Imperials.” Their decorated special occasion cookies, like their Christmas cookies, are stunning works of art so beautiful, it’s almost a shame to eat them. But even among these superb High Tea classics, one special confection stands out: the petit four is a superstar. Petit fours, tiny little cakes individually wrapped in fondant, are as difficult to make as they are to find for purchase. High Tea’s petit fours are extraordinary. They use tender white cake infused with a layer of either lemon or raspberry filling, enveloped in rich fondant and embellished with elegant decorative touches. These are not just the best petit fours in Winnipeg, they are the best petit fours ANYWHERE (they are also often the only petit fours in Winnipeg). These delicate jewels are just exquisite.

a wonderful real experience with tea! fresh brewed before your eyes from real leaves; not bags! ( but I wish they had more real leaves to buy....I think I bought all that was on display!!)

I am an imperial cookie connoisseur and I’ve tried this cookie at almost every bakery in the city because it’s my favourite kind of cookie. I have always heard of High Tea being known for the best imperials in the city but since they are located far away, I have not made it out there until today. And I am here to confirm that they do in fact make the BEST imperials in the city! The jam is fresh and it’s perfection.

We ordered a cake for our little backyard wedding, and I swear there were more compliments on the cake than my wedding dress:) I will officially start using this lovely bakery for all of my celebrations! The service and pricing was perfect as well. Super happy customer over here!
