👍👍 I called Wednesday July 6 with a broken spoke, the staff went above and beyond. I picked up the rebuilt wheel Thursday the 7th. Rode my fixed gear bike from Edmonton to Black Diamond in one go, 414 KM. Absolutely incredible wheel build. Great service and sales. I needed a headlight for the ride and... I called Wednesday July 6 with a broken spoke, the staff went above and beyond. I picked up the rebuilt wheel Thursday the 7th. Rode my fixed gear bike from Edmonton to Black Diamond in one go, 414 KM. Absolutely incredible wheel build. Great service and sales. I needed a headlight for the ride and was assisted with purchasing a light that lasted the entire night.

Took hubby's bike in after it sitting in the garage for 6 years and asked for them to do a tube up quote. They quoted us $400 to fix up the bike and had a laundry list of things wrong with it. I felt like this was a little high so called around a couple other places and everywhere else was significantly cheaper. In the end we only ended up spending $150. Custom service was lacking, quote was way out of left field and their turn around time was extensive. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff do an excellent job finding you what you need. Over the years I have purchased bikes and other equipment for my bike. If they don’t have, they will order it for you! They also do an excellent job on servicing bikes.

Did not feel I got the best results for the $$ spent. I needed some service work done and thought I would keep it local. Picked up my bike thinking it was good to go and did not test drive it. First ride after I got the bike back it was not tuned at all would not shift gears clean at all. Took it back they fixed it after a week. I asked what happened if the tuning was missed and only got “ it was only a little out of tune”. No apology for the 2 extra visits to get the rework done. Do not recommend them for service work.

Went in checking for product availability and wasnt disappointed. I was looking for a decent shoe for flat pedals. Was shown a selection after i explained what I was after. Staff member offered opinions on the shoes and what the differences were between styles. I'd go back again. Need more bike shops north of the Saskatchewan River.

The service guy was trying to be helpful when I searching for a part to complete my build. He went into the back and came back and said they did not have the part. Did not offer to order it for me.

Went in twice in the last week, first was for help filling a tire and reseating the rubber - everyone I dealt with was cranky but overall they fixed my problem. Then yesterday I went in to get a lock for my bike, I wasn't planning on spending too much. When I walked in there was a bit of an altercation and one of the male staff kept saying to someone "I won't be talked to that way!!" In a huff, and then he b-lined for me as I was looking at the locks. When I told him what I was looking for he kept going off about how all the "downtown hobos" have come to St. Albert, and asking how much of a risk I was willing to take with my lock & bike, when I said I understood that a lock is only meant to deter or slow down a thief he wouldn't stop going off about our vulnerable community, and honestly I just felt highly uncomfortable and felt guilted into buying a much more expensive lock than I intended.

Great service and very knowledgeable staff for your bike parts. Even though Michael was very busy, he still managed to help me out and explain what I needed for one of my bikes.

Staff was friendly and extremely helpful in finding exactly the bits and bobs I needed to complete my project of making my front wheel quick release. I have already pointed people to the Cranky's shops, because, between two locations and an online purchase it has been nothing but the best service and exactly what items I needed when I needed them.

My son and I were shopping for a bike at Cranky's a few weeks ago. They were clearing a line of bikes and we were looking at a bike that was quite expensive for our budgets. The salesman we were dealing with was OK but didn't seem to care about us. Before we finished the deal we wanted the air pressure in the shocks set up. They wanted an additional $40 to do that on a brand new bike we were buying. The salesman didn't care that we were disappointed so we left and went to Mud sweat and Gears in Spruce Grove. The service there was awesome.

TL:DR They have fine service and staff but appointment scheduling is a disaster. The quality of work is good, and the staff is friendly. However the shop loses a lot of points on its maintenance scheduling. I have had three seperate bad experiences with service scheduling. Most notably was when I made an appointment for a pretty basic service package a month in advance, but when I brought my bike in for its Wednesday appointment they told me they would start work on it the FOLLOWING Wednesday. So I asked what the point of making an appointment was but they didn't have an answer for me. I ended up taking it back with me that day and returning the following Wednesday for what I considered my new appointment. The kicker is they still didn't start work until Tuesday, 6 days later. All in all its a fine bicycle shop but I won't be back unless I can't find any other place to have maintenance done.

St.Albert Cranky's is one of the best bike shops around. The front staff are wonderful and know their products well. Fernando was wonderful with helping me find my prefect bike and side accessories. As well their back crew is amazing, was lucky to meet my mechanic Robyn who built my bike to perfection. 100/10 recommend St.Albert Cranky's to anyone looking for a new bike.

I've only bought product from Cranky's but I appreciate that they will work on any bike you bring them, and not exclusively their own bikes they sell. That's a proper shop.

Raechel helped me prepare my bike and me for the MS Bike Ride in July 2022. She listened carefully to me making sure I had the proper seat, clothing, food and drink support, and she helped size my bike, so I could complete this 180 km ride after years off a bike. Her support was essential to me completing this ride for my friends. I will come to her for any of my future cycling needs, including an indoor trainer for this winter. I have dealt with this location for years and always recommend them to anyone asking for solid information and where to buy a bike. Thank you Raechel for all your help this year. It is much appreciated.

We had two people help us pick out two MIPS helmets at their 50 percent off helmet sale. They even brought more brands and colors and sizes to keep us happy. Good service considering we were new customers who were only there for the sale.

Everyone in the shop was super stoked to help out and get my bike kitted and ready to ride. Raechel was really helpful and got the bike packed up in a box for me to fly with it. THANKS! Everything was packed nicely and even though the baggage handlers did their best to wreck it, it's all together and looking GOOD with all the extras I got. Cheers!

So helpful when picking out my new hybrid Trek! Also helped me out when I wasn't able to attach the fenders myself, and needed a few extra nuts and bolts to get the job done. The people at Cranky's went above and beyond to make sure things worked out with my new bike. Highly recommend =)

We purchased two Trek Cruiser bikes just recently through Crankys. Incredible service from Fernando. He went out of his way to correct a product issue on an accessory. Highly recommend the shop for anyone looking for a new bike, tune up or any accessories!! Thanks again Fernando!

Amazing shop!! Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Considering how busy the bike industry is right now, they still take time to listen and help every customer.

With the COVID situation getting bike parts locally has been difficult. Cranky's had what I needed in stock. The website was easy to use, communication was great and shipping was fast. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

Cranky's is fantastic. The staff will go out of their way to help you out to solve your problems. We have bee going there for years and they have helped all of us out with our biking needs.
