Absolutely stunning and a must-go lake. Highly recommend floating on the lake with the rental canoe - thereโ€™s nothing likes it and we loved it.

Wonderful lake surrounded by mountains, great for canoeing, but very crowded during the day. Would still recommend!

Beautiful trail surrounding the lake! Mostly flat but it was a bit muddy on the east side of the lake because itโ€™s more wooded. I recommend turning around at the bridge if you want to stay on the paved path. The canoe rentals looked amazing! $90 for up to 3 people per canoe.

Amazing, unique, do it. Best day to visit is with blue sky, sunshine! Do the hike around the lake, it is worth. Little Cafรฉ closes early, 5pm. Rent a little boat, try the unique echo, enjoy the views from water to mountains. Parking is free, but crowded, go at 2pm or 5pm. Wonderful. Take enough water with you on the hike. No mobil coverage at all.

This place is insanely beautiful with emerald color water and spectacular mountain backdrop view. We were lucky that it wasnโ€™t too crowded and we easily got the parking. The walk around the lake was beautiful and easy. Even there was no sunlight during our visit, the lake was still beautiful.

Itโ€™s the best lake for viewing green water. The views are so breathtaking and mesmerizing. It offers a good side trail along the lake to experience view from different angles. There are several designed wooden log benches along the trail. The lake has enough parking spaces for vehicles and RVs as well. The lake offers canoeing for $80/hr.

What a stunning lake. I have never seen such glass like reflecting water. It is so clear and glistens in the sunlight. The parking was quite busy over the thanksgiving weekend. The trail around is leisurely and accessible. Very nice picnic spots as well.

The lake is enclosed by mountains of the President Range, as well as Mount Burgess and Wapta Mountain. This basin traps storms, causing frequent rain in summer and heavy snowfalls in winter. This influx of moisture works with the lake's low elevation to produce a unique selection of flora. Trees found here are more typical of B.C.'s wet interior forests, such as western red cedar, western yew, western hemlock and western white pine. The alluvial fan on the northeast shore produces wildflowers in abundance during late June and early July. Due to its high altitude, the lake is frozen from November until June. The vivid turquoise color of the water, caused by powdered limestone, is most spectacular in July as the snow melts from the surrounding mountains.

We visited this beautiful lake on our bus tour of the Canadian Rockies in August 2019. It was the first of the many mountain lakes we saw on the trip. The water had a unique emerald green colour which was indeed mesmerizing and unforgettable. We strolled around the lakeside for about an hour and enjoyed the scenery with the snow capped mountains encircling the lake.

A beautiful place for few days trip. The lake has clean water. Few places to visit in the national park n few activities to do including biking, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. definitely, worth of a visit if you like water, mountain n nature.

The scenery here is beyond amazing, water color is stunning. There is a nice easy trail around the whole lake. Some parts were a bit muddy, but otherwise no obstacles, anyone in a moderate shape should be able to do it. Parking was not too difficult on a weekday.

Great lake and not as crowded as others in the park. 5 km trail that loops around the lake and mostly under the trees. Very relaxing hike suitable for a fam with little kids. Lodge on site with a full bar. Parking was available a bit down the road (August 10 at around noon)

Highly recommend renting kayak for 1h =$90, max 3 people. Itโ€™s one of my favorite lakes. So underrated. Turquoise water, lovely souvenir shop with plenty of magnets, tshirts, patches, stickers, etc. the lake has beautiful views and the trail around.

Gorgeous spot. Easy yet a great hike around the lake and also has harder ones here. You can also rent canoes here in the summer. You can also see some spruce grouse around here. Super peaceful. Washroom available at the entrance area in the form of a nicer outhouse. Peaceful yet can be very busy in the summer months with limited parking spaces.

Behold a breathtakingly beautiful lake, its charm accentuated during the winter months when the water exudes a mesmerizing green hue that perfectly complements the pristine white of the snow-capped mountains. This picturesque scene is a testament to the natural wonders of our world, offering a captivating and serene landscape that truly embodies the beauty found in earthly paradises.

It's a gorgeous lake of Emerald color hence derived its name. It falls in the province of British Columbia, but is pretty close to Banff National Park. You have limited parking at this place. It's very calm and serene in the surroundings. A bright sunny day is perfect for a visit in the month of July - September. There's a lodge and cafe at the banks of the lake

This is a beautiful lake in Yoho national park. When we visited it was very busy, we got parking far away from lake. We rented a canoe and we were able to enjoy the views. There is a restaurant & cafe here. It is a great place to visit.

Calm and relaxing while looking at this lake with the mountain reflection. We walked around the cabins not knowing there wasnโ€™t anything at the end of the pathway. The cafe was still closed when we arrived around 8am. Not too much happening here aside from the rental boathouse and picturesque of the lake and mountain. You can also take a trail hike around the lake.
