Easily one of my go-to’s for great service and delicious food. The server’s here are always awesome; very attentive and care about your experience. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night or get together with friends. My personal favourite dish is the spicy miso ramen! The only downside to this place is the scare parking at peak hours in downtown. Overall, I would recommend!

I tried this restaurant on the recommendation of some neighbors in my building and man oh man, am I ever thankful for the recommendation! The food was authentic, beautifully presented and delicious! I also thought it was great value for the money. As with almost all my reviews, it's the staff who make or break the customer service experience. The staff here are equally as amazing as the food is good. Very friendly, attentive and genuinely appreciative of my business. I can't wait to return and I cannot recommend this place enough! Loved it!

I went here with my girlfriend after Animethon. Japanese food was the only cuisine to have after a Japanese-themed convention. My instant reaction is that Dorinku is phenomenal. The atmosphere was great, the service was fantastic and their food was perfect. It is the best Japanese food I’ve had in Edmonton and is very reasonably priced.

The best place to go if you want delicious Japanese food that won’t break the bank!!! Their sushi/sashimi is to die for!! Literally the best sushi I’ve had in a while and I love sushi. Their ramen is both scrumptious and made with care. The broth is so decadent, I had truffle oil in mine and it was the perfect touch! The service was amazing, regularly asked us how we were doing and if we needed anything and was overall really friendly. Will definitely be going back!

Dorinku on Jasper Avenue continues the long standing tradition of their partner location near Whyte Avenue. Featuring Japanese street foods, the location has a diverse menu with great variety. The food is of all high quality and delicious. The service was ok. Friendly and prompt. And the location is pretty hip. Lots of super cool neon! Update Nov/2023: Service from Emily was AMAZING...super friendly and engaging. Also, the food quality seems to have gone up a notch. Changed my review from 4 stars to 5! 5 x 🍣🍣🍣🍣🍣

Food and service was really good but no AC? We felt like we were going to die +30 degrees and not even a fan. Wanted to order more food but the heat kills your appetite

The service here was amazing. Our server was really nice and sounded enthusiastic about where he worked and even told us about upcoming food projects they have in mind. I won't spoil them, but it did sound good! The look and vibe of the restaurant was also very nice. I ordered the salmon dish and it tasted great. It came with its own sides along with miso soup. My friend had the rich broth tonkatsu but found it to be too salty which is the reason for a 4 star review, along with the slightly dim, yellowish lighting.

Incredibly fast service and delicious food! The patio is large, but because it's on Jasper, it wouldn't be my personal preference to eat outside next to a busy street. The truffle udon is outstanding and the pork salad was a nice balance because the udon is a fairly heavy dish. The tuna tataki was very good and though there were only five pieces, they're decently sized.

Came during their happy hour and was able to try a good variety of items from both the happy hour and regular menu! Everything was so well prepared and tasted extremely fresh. We had the takoyaki, chicken karage, tuna tataki, avocado pressed sushi, and the Toro pressed sushi. Highly recommend getting the pressed sushi if you're coming here!

The food is pretty good but a bit pricy for a Japanese Izakaya. The beef tataki is very good and has a nice smoke to it. Defintiely recommend

Osaka has a chill vibe going in compared to Tokyo. It's more modern izakaya atmosphere. The takoyaki was piping hot and the texture was crunchy. The Shaka Shaka fries was okay as it was fries shaked in a bag with seasoning, but still good. The carbonera udon was hot and creamy. The oyster was fresh and cleaned thoroughly. The ponzu sauce that came with it was slightly sweet, and compliments the oyster. Overall, good atmosphere, good pricing. Only disappointing thing was I over hyped myself for the Shaka shaka fries. NEW UPDATE: went to Osaka again on a Friday night. I was a little disappointed this time as I had a good time from my previous review. This time we ordered: Chicken Truffle Shoyu Ramen (16.80) It was just average. The ramen came with half cooked egg, chicken chasu, some yu choy. The broth was just okay as it had little flavor and didn't taste the chicken -flam-soy broth. The chicken and the egg was just okay. Cream Truffle Udon (16.80): The udon was pretty good, the cream was rich ( a bit too rich if you aren't used to the creaminess). It can be a bit over powering sometimes. iSHIYAKI BEEF BIBIMBAP (15.80) The bibimbap was good as it was really colorful and the texture of the rice was spot on. It was a little salty to taste and we ended up not finish it. Appetizer platter (17.80) Comes with 7 daily specials, but I only tried 3. The ebi shrimp was good, but eat it right away as the crispiness disappears. The beef tataki was pretty good, the presentation could be better, but the taste was spot on. Taco Wasabi: the chopped octopus with wasabi dressing was my favorite. The spice was not too strong and sandwiching it with seaweed and a slight dip in soy sauce was good. Clams ( forgot the price, was around 18.00) The clams was a disappointment. There were lots of empty shells, the broth that it was bathing in was really salty. The salty was too much, so we didn't finish it. It could've been paired with something plain like rice or bread to balance the saltiness. Bluefin tuna sashimi 5 pc (22.80) The bluefin came in a delicate design, highlighting the main attraction. It came with ginger, shiso leaf, mejiso ( shiso sprouts), and REAL wasabi. The bluefin texture was soft and had a bounce to it. Eating it by itself it didn't taste anything special, but the combination of the shiso and the tuna made it stand out.

Good food and good service! If you come to this Dorinku location over the Whyte Ave, I recommend getting the Tonkotsu Ramen, the broth was very flavourful and very smooth. Also try the Ebi Fry as it’s quite unique and different from regular shrimp tempura!

Our favourite sushi spot on Edmonton. The food is always fresh and delicious, service is wonderful and very friendly. I'd suggest doing a Sake Bomb for the experience! We've tried almost everything on the menu and loved it all. Some of the favorites are TNT roll, pressed salmon roll, tuna tatake and their fries. Absolutely recommend this place, interior design is funky and the music is always interesting

My best friends took me here for my 23rd birthday and I had a fantastic time. Food was above expectation and service was impeccable. We had two servers that helped us and the gentleman's name is Devin, I believe. He was kind and recommended me a great drink for the night! I didn't get a chance to ask for the girl's name but she had long, curly hair and was extremely polite in taking photos of my friends and I. I had a great time and would love to come back again.

Best sushi place on Earth i'm not kidding! Their sashimi slices are a bit thin which is ok, but the flavour is undescribable, it is soo delicious! I wish I could give them 100 stars! Must go to this place!

Dorinku Osaka in Edmonton is a culinary gem offering an authentic Japanese dining experience. The ambiance is inviting, and the service is top-notch. The menu boasts a delightful array of dishes, each bursting with flavor and artful presentation. The sushi is fresh and flavorful, while their ramen is simply divine. However, what truly stole the show were the desserts. Indulging in their exquisite cheese cake was an ethereal experience. The delicate balance of sweetness and textures was pure bliss. Dorinku Osaka is a must-visit for anyone craving exceptional Japanese cuisine, especially for those seeking divine dessert options.

Good service and good food. Dine-in for lunch. Food is yummy.great presentation. Good portion with decent price. The chirachi bowl is a bit salty for me; will prefer less soy sauce next time if ordered again. The Takoyaki and tuna tataki are good!

This is our first time here, love the decor, nice natural wood panel on the walls, very clean, prices are reasonable, Chef is from Japan. This is the first restaurant their waiter use the gloves 100% correct, he wear a new pair of gloves when he picked up our dirty dishes, then the takes them off right after, not like many other restaurants staffs, wear a pair of gloves all day, touches new & dirty dishes with the same pairs. We are so impressed, their waited are well educated.

This is an amazing place, the staff are amazing and helpful, and food was great. The fries, they put this seasoning with fentanyl or cocaine and it is a must try. They also sell jars of that meth separately. The Udon I had was thick and rich, and nothing could be better. Prices are really competitive, highly recommended.

Atmosphere was okay and the food did not disappoint. However the efforts of the whole team went to waste with the service provided to us by our server. When paying with cash, I’ve never been asked by a sever forcefully “how much change do you need back?”. I’m sorry but as someone who works in the hospitality industry, from the start the service we were provided was mediocre at best and you never should ask on the spot ask how much change / tip I wish to offer. This is forceful and unprofessional. I would never wish to be served by her again.

I love Dorinku Tokyo and the Osaka location is just as amazing! They nailed the ambiance of a modern Japanese Izakaya. The service was great, the menu is curated well, and the food is of the best quality. Everything was flavourful and delicious. My favourite dishes are the Truffle Udon in a stone bowl and the Salmon Press sushi. Also, the Shaka Shaka fries are a staple. If you enjoyed Dorinku, I highly recommend trying this Osaka location as well.

Really great food and service. The staff are really good and helpful. The food is restaurant quality and the atmosphere is almost bar-like, there's loud music and the staff do a loud chant when customers order shots. Good place to go drinking with friends. Not ideal for a quiet night out. There's public parking on the street in front and in the street surrounding. Front entrance is ground level ie wheelchair accessible.

We were looking for a restaurant that allow pet on the patio and we found Dorinku Osaka. We went there for lunch the service was exceptional!! Staff were so nice and polite. We were waiting to be seated for a bit when we arrived as it was lunch time and they were very busy. Staff was very apologetic that having us waited quite a bit. We tried Chicken Karage, TNT roll, and chirashi bowl and they were AMAZING with reasonable price! We will definitely come back again!!

Tonight some friends and I had a small reunion dinner here & I was so impressed by the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, & the staff! I really wish I had gotten the name of our server, as he was absolutely amazing! (thanks again for snapping some photos of us all together!) He was quick to refill our drinks, super fun to chat with & all around such a friendly person. The atmosphere is beautiful! Dorinku is the perfect spot for any type of night out! I loved the vibe of the entire building. The food was piping hot & SO delicious. The pork gyoza & pork yakisoba are *chefs kiss* and I already want more:) Dorinku Osaka is absolutely a 10/10 and I cannot wait to bring more friends here!

Highly recommend!! Great prices for great food!! The staff were amazing as well. We ordered a great selection of appetizers and main, and my absolute favourite was the chicken karaage and calamari (both appetizers and had a big portion for a great price). All of the food we ordered was absolutely amazing and greatly filled all of our stomachs -- and we devoured all of them fr. Our waiter was also great and fun and very patient with our group of 8. The food came at an appropriate time and our overall experience at dorinku was A+. The drinks were just as good and my little brother had the time of his life when he found out they had a "kid beer". I also ordered a lot of their non-alcoholic drinks which I found were excellent as is the food. Overall, I highly recommend going to dorinku!!

Maybe I have high hopes to this Osaka street food restaurant however actually is not as good as I expected. It’s on pricy side we ordered the new year platter which is $89. It comes with 6 mini courses for tasting the flavour is just so so, like average quality not feel any special. I recommend order their ramen or other main dishes, saw on other review they are yummy and can fill you up. We also got the okonomiyaki it was nice and taste great but just portion too small. Good place for gathering with friends or colleagues and food is the second. Overall not bad but also not deserve 5-star as well have improvement to do.

Dorinku Osaka was a great dining experience, meeting our expectations on taste, quality, atmosphere, and service. We got the vegan tonkotsu ramen which was fantastic (this was my first vegan tonkotsu), as well as the pressed TNT sushi. We also did the tasting appitizer which featured lots of good things, including tuna tataki, beef tataki, spring rolls, spicy tuba, takoyaki, kimchi, fried shrimp, and fresh ginger. Drinks were great as well! I would highly recommend this place. We went right at open and the place didn't seem to get busy until 6:00 (it was a weekend on an oiler game day). I suggest making a reservation on their website!

After months - or honestly closer to years - of wanting to come here, finally had an evening that worked to have date night with the Mrs here. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about our experience here. The atmosphere here is super cool. The menu was totally different compared to any other Japanese spot I've personally been to. The food was totally delicious with awesome portions of protein in the ramen and generous cuts for the sashimi platter. Best of all was Patrick, our server. Very laid back but still very attentive and friendly. We don't get date night often do it's really nice that when we do, it's an amazing experience.

We really loved the food and ambiance here. This is my friends favourite south east Asian place in Edmonton and I can see why! We came for the happy hour and for $4 beers, we got a whole bunch of delicious apps and main dishes. For 4 people, we got 5 beers, 1 sake, 5 appetizers and 4 mains for about $170

Never had a bad experience or bad food here. It’s always amazing. The miso ramen had more flavor than a lot of ramen shops in Edmonton you should definitely try it if you enjoy good ramen.

First time coming here . The guy who sat us down asked if it is our first time I reply yes he gave us a paper menu for the feature items and a scanner to scan the online menu. We ordered our food by showing photos of other peoples photos . We overheard that it was happy hour and I wasn’t aware they even have happy hour , that was upsetting because I would’ve order off the happy hour menu . It took long for our refill by the time we got our refill we were done our food. The food was good The deep fried squid we got was very soggy 4/10 The noodle dish we got 8.5/10 Short ribs 8.5/10 Fries 7/10

Pretty good late night food spot. The chicken karaage is a great deal for the quantity and price. The chicken truffle Ramen was tasty, especially the broth. The peach iced tea wasn't worth it unfortunately, lacked flavour.

#supportlocal #eatlocal I ordered myself a pressed sushi bento and an order of chicken karaage for lunch. The bento was to come with miso soup, but it was missed in my order. Really, an honest mistake, but nonetheless, everything tasted amazing! Love the chard burnt taste on those pressed salmon, the avocados on the pressed avocado was fresh, love the pickled veggies, the salad was refreshing and enjoyed the mashed potatoes. The chicken karaage was my favourite; so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and that spicy sauce for the karaage was oh so spicy, in a good way.

Such a turn off. Waited 15min to be seated ( to a soaking wet table ) with having reservation, waited for 20 min to be served at least with glass of water. Not one person came plus it wasn't busy at all. And yes, they had enough staff that was walking by our table. So we called Dorinku on White Ave and walked away. Got to 82nd Ave and it was like day and night. Place was packed and we got the server at our table as we sat down. Same company different standards. Definitely won't go back to downtown location again.

Had a simple ramen lunch. The ramen joint in the back was closed off, but the Dorinku part is serving it up. It was good. Nice broth. It was chicken and pork broth. The chicken made the broth a little bit lighter in richness. Not in a bad way. Portion was acceptable for price. (I was sated) Inside was clean, and the tables were separated. There was a decent lunch 'crowd'. Not surprisingly, overall it feels like the Dorinku on Whyte. I'll be back again.

Food was good and the interior design was nice but the service was very disappointing. We had made a reservation online prior to our arrival but the staff couldn't find it and demanded more evidence despite us showing our confirmation email. They eventually cancelled our reservation...after we had been seated and enjoying our meal. The waitress addressed our table only after seeing to tables that had been seated after us. By the end of the night, we were told that there was another group waiting for our table so we paid. I was waiting for my friend to finish the last sips of her beer when another waitress SLAMMED her hands on the table and told us to leave immediately. I understand that the night was busy and I apologize for causing the establishment any inconvenience by staying past my welcome but better communication about times and better treatment from the staff overall would've gone a long way. We will not be coming back.

Japanese food. High quality dine-in and take-out food menu and an exceptional dining experience. 🍴If you are looking to try Japanese food but may have been intimidated due to lack of knowledge, there are pictures and descriptions of all their food items in their take-out delivery menu! This was a game changer for me, as I was able to try new food being fully informed of the ingredients and preparation style. The staff are super helpful and very knowledgeable in explaining each dish as well. 📍Location: Edmonton AB #yeg In the heart of our city's downtown, right on Jasper Ave and 103 street. 🚗Parking: Jasper ave and surrounding area street parking or parkades. I use MyEPark app for convenience, unless I actually have change on hand in my vehicle. Time: I visited for dinnertime at the downtown location. I also had the pleasure of ordering in through their online menu options. Food quality was great with dine in and take-out. Ambience: Music is not too loud leaving you with a good conversational setting without having to talk over music. The design is very sleek and inviting. Love the wood detail. 🍽Food/drink: I enjoyed the: Sockeye Salmon Press sushi - with torched Salmon. Excellent! TNT Roll - amazing with the perfect amount of spice. Shaka Shaka Fries - oh so yummy with their signature seasoning salt. Pork and Kale Gyoza (dumplings), delicious! Coffee infused shochu hai-balls - this was a first for me and it was wonderful. 🛑Allergy/diet accommodations: They have Gluten Friendly markers on their menu items. For someone with celiac or a gluten sensitivity, this is a huge deal. Love this. Service Quality: Impeccable. Serving staff were exceptional. Our waitress was genuinely happy to answer questions about the menu and food, leaving me feeling happy not fearful of having little knowledge in Japanese food. Even the staff who brought out and cleared the food were genuine and made eye contact with a smile. This can certainly be challenging with a mask on, but they made the effort, I appreciate this so much. 👌A wonderful dining experience and exceptional food quality with take-out as well. Always liked the vibe at dorinku, food was good. Can't be upset over Shaka Shaka fries and it was the first time katsu sando, that was super juicy. The only downfall is that our food came 15-20 mins apart, so by the time my friends finished eating I got my food.
