Loved the store and how they had most of the anime figures on display made it so easy to decide which one I wanted to buy. They sell a ton of old and new comics along with some posters and merchandise ad well.

Visited from out of country. Store looked great and really brought back the nostalgia of a kid and how much I enjoyed comics. Took a pic of the store to show my friend from back home as he would love this place to be lectured by an older gentleman who worked there about taking a pic. From other reviews, looks like I am not the only individual who did not have the best experience due to this gentleman.

Been shopping here for over 25 years. Great back issue bins and glass counters in the back for your pricier comics. I filled some holes today and discovered they also have a decent hockey card section at a very very good price. This box of Allure is easily 120-130$ elsewhere. All your comic, toy, figurine needs in the heart of Vancouver. Thank God for Golden Age.

Fantastic store! So much fun to browse. I spent 1 hour here loojing for some books and found much more than what I was looking for. The staff are super great and helpful. Their recommendations were great. They would voluntarily open sealed books for me to take a look inside. Their collection of old comic books is great as well as new publications. They also take orderd for the items they do not have in store. Generally the store is superb, I am so glad I found my comicbook heaven in Vancouber

I went to the store last week and was very confused because I just started reading mostly because i wanted inspiration for my animation, used to read books but never comics, so I asked the guy at the reception, he was very helpful and knows the comics inside out, he recommended a few which i bought also, his suggestions were very specific to what i wanted. Even the vibe of the store is very good, its very nostalgic, definitely a place from where you would end up spending to much time, very well organised and a variety of range to choose from, you can get stuff as per you pocket allows because they do offer different price range also. Comics, graphic novels, action figures and accessories, you name it, they have it, also what a location, just few steps near metro. Definitely my go to place now.

This store has quite the collection of comic books, games, Funko and other figurines and much more. The employees were so friendly and helpful - I was impressed by what a welcoming atmosphere they created. It’s clear their customers are valued.

Best (and only) comic store in downtown Vancouver! Loads of comics, always on time, and at a decent exchange rate. Number of collectibles, FUNKO pops, and other miscellaneous things aswell. Lots of slabbed comics, and many many back issues.

I am here every Wednesday looking for my list of comic books, since they have my subscription. I buy my comic books here on a regular basis since I work downtown, and it is two blocks away from my office. The three owners here are amazingly nice, and they are helpful when looking for a specific book or wants to help with genre of the world of geek. The place is filled top to bottom with toys, and comics, and everything a geek wants in the world, except some special limited editions.... :P Regardless, it is a good store. A lot of the people who work here are nice people, ask for help if you are curious about anything within the genre of geek collectibles, and anything that can take your time! I recommend those who are looking for anything that have been printed in 2007 and maybe out of print? Come here, they might have them! Dru approved comic book store :D

Lovveeeee, this store 🀩 reminds me of my favorite store named Silver Snail in Toronto but just not as big. We were greeted by a fun and friendly guy wearing an awesome Spiderman sweatshirt. The gentleman in the back was also really nice and informative. I was inquiring on some comics on Luis Royo ( one of my favorite artists ). This will be my new go-to place for comics and resin statues on a rainy day.

Best comic book shop I found in Vancouver. Saw editions of a lot of obscure comics that I haven't seen at too many places. Even found some Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers comics. And nice collection of figurines too.

Got some good stuff here for sure. A little bit overpriced compared to other similar collectable stores but still a cool experience and vibe. Also not super fond of the fact that a lot of their figures and busts are taken out of their sealed packaging as it hurts value a bit. But still worth going to if your collecting just for personal sake

My friend actually introduced me to this place just before going to a concert. They carry a wide selection of action figures, manga, and comics. Recently, I visited it with my uncle and he was able to buy a few Junji Ito books and I was able to purchase a giant collection of Spider-Verse and Spider-Geddon comics in one big graphic novel as well as 30 years of Harley Quinn. I can for sure say that I'll be back and I highly recommend this store for anyone looking for all sorts of comics as they offer indie offerings as well.

I always make an effort to come here every time I visit Vancouver. Great collection of collectables, board games, cards, comics, novels and more. The staff are SO friendly, and really make you feel welcome. One of my favourite stores!

The selection here is really excellent, and they have very friendly and knowledgeable staff. People who are passionate about what they're selling! The overall look of the store is great, and it's a fun experience just to come and browse! Great location too in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Last time I was there they didn't have what I was looking for but offered to order it in, which I appreciated! Highly recommend this place as a must visit for any comic book/graphic arts nerd like myself. ;D Graphic novels aren't cheap (rightfully so), so the prices here are reasonable and fair!

A popular place for comic book lover and who want to explore the comic book world as more and more movies and series adaptation based on comic books. Take Invincible as an example, they set up an entire section just for people who are looking for the comic book after the very successful season one. Not only you can find all the paper back of the main serie, but also other tie-in and spin-off.

Very very cool store and super helpful staff! Visiting from the US this was a really nice stop. Lots of variety, bills, comics, figures, games, wish I could transport the place back home

If you do the comic book thing in any way or are thinking about getting into it or back into it - go see the lads at GAC. On a whim, I stopped in there one afternoon back in 2018 and started up my collection again that day; it's been a fantastic experience ever since

I was happy and satisfied with the library and comics/mangas/figures available and even found some sweet deals as I was there. It just felt a little cramped and I understand that's not something you can control but it's kinda hard to browse comics with people alla round you almost touching.

Great place, haven't been here in 20 years. Still has all the fun things you around expect from a comic store. Deffinately worth dropping in, if you are near by

Went here with my 10 yr old son - There's friendly staff lots of manga, some that are internationally sold out, there's a decent amount of collectibles such as pokemon cards and pop figures, but mostly manga and comics. Great for people who like manga. 5 stars, I highly recommend this place. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ββββββœ¨βœ¨βœ¨βœ¨πŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Š

I'm not an avid comic book Reader much or a mega fan but I do live myself some Godzilla, and X-Men. The service here is always super friendly, informative and welcoming. A bit bad for my wallet but I always seem to find something worth taking home every time I visit. Be sure to check out the back and upper balcony for hidden gems and don't be shy to ask for help!

I used to love this place. 5 stars. Good location and selection. I will note however, the demeanor of the staff has changed significantly over the last 8 years I've been going. I used to get greeted with a smile, now I feel like they're bothered by customers. Not sure if it was the owner or the manager, but he was so rude during my last visit that I unfortunately can't give them my business anymore. I'm all for supporting local businesses, so I'll find a different comic store where those in charge speak to customers with respect, and unfortunately won't be returning to Golden Age.

Nice to go to a store that priced their books good so I didn't feel like I had to haggle like I'm in the middle ages.

Excellent selection. I really like the shrink wrapped sets of single issues they sell. This way I was able to fill some gaps in my collection easily.

One the best places to buy comics in all of BC, I never leave here empty handed. I’ve been coming here since 2005 and I’m so thankful to the owners.
