I had my first bite of delicious Persian food from a friend who's from Iran years ago and had to browse Persian food in Richmond Hill area. Thank goodness there's this place. New to this plaza and so glad my friend and I stop by. They make such fresh and delicious Persian food. They also offer Persian dry food products, 10% when you follow them on Instagram, free drinks when you order rice, and some goodies to win with their raffles (Apple watch). My friend and I tried: • Halim: shredded beef, wheat and lentils • Beryani: special marinated ground beef served with fresh lime and onion • Ghormeh Sabzi • Tachin goosht & bademjun Oven baked saffron rice stuffed with eggplant and shredded beef But only offer Halim and new dish coming soon Loobia Polo during Friday. Definitely a must visit place if your looking for delicious comfort food yet halal 🤗

Update: dropped in to try a rare dish that is hard to find outside of Iran (even in Iran it is usually only served in Esfahan), it is called "Beryani" not to confused with the south-east asian dish "Biryani", it is a lightly spiced mince meat dish served on bread and it is absolutely delicious (as with everything else I have tried on their menu). Dropped in for dinner with friends and family, I ordered the lambshank which was absolutely delicious with a very generous portion. The place is modern and super clean. Staff are very friendly, highly recommend.

Great place! The food is great, fresh and full of flavour. The meat was tender and the rice has very nice with a unique savoury taste. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. Perfect location in the middle of Richmond hill. The place is very clean and up-kept.

Wow just wow , an amazing one stop shop for a quick stop to get some groceries, also they have Persian food for takeout. High quality food , ordered the * gheimeh bademjoon * which is a beef stew with lentils and also has eggplants, it’s a must try , also got the chicken leg. I give this place 10/10. Not only they have amazing food they also have amazing staff. Everyone is super friendly. Definitely a must try place. 👍👍

I have been driving by this place for some time now and I finally gave in. It's nice and clean inside, staff is friendly. I ordered just a chicken breast sandwich just to test the waters. This was one of the freshest and tastiest wraps I have eaten in a while. Will be trying everything on the menu. I highly recommend to give this spot a try. Update: I came back for more on the same day. Chicken breast dinner Kobideh dinner Once again I highly recommend.

Ordered Chicken leg, chicken breast, tenderloin and koobideh kebabs for our new year’s feast and turned out amazing in taste and quality. Very tasty, juicy and full of flavour. Highly recommend this Persian restaurant as I believe they are the best in catering the Persian cuisine.

Edit: Went again and seems the portion seems got smaller and the chicken is not as juicy as before, at least for this time —- This is my first time trying this restaurant and I be honest, don’t have much experience on this style cuisine. From reading other reviews, it’s Persian but not 100% sure but anyway, most importantly, it’s the quality of the food. This place is clean and simple and relaxing and the service I find is very friendly. You need to order at the counter first and the person who took our order is very friendly and patient with us since we are new and we ask questions in deciding what to get. We ended up ordered the crunchy rice, chicken leg kebab plate and also the shallot yogurt as recommended by them. :) The food came and they also gave us a rich complimentary barley soup which is quite tasty with tomato/tangy flavour and with some thick gesture like the rice congee . I liked it. The chicken kebab was nicely grilled and very juicy and I really enjoyed it. And goes pretty good with the yogurt too. Not sure if I am suppose to have the yogurt with the chicken but tasted quite good with it and I also use the yogurt to eat my salad with it instead of the original dressing.. why not if my taste buds tells me it’s ok .. The crunchy rice is also very good too. Crunchy rice on the outside with ground beef inside. Quite interesting to try! Very yummy dish and I think the eggplant (?) on the side goes very well with the crunchy rice. And also taste so much better with some shallot yogurt as well! With it, the rice doesn’t taste as heavy/fatigue. In the dish, there is also some chips (guessing it is chips) and it is quite crunchy but abit salty though but that’s a very small part of the dish and no big deal to me at all. I had a nice experience this time and the food is yummy for the asking price. I don’t know how the food is suppose to taste like but I am loving it!! Definitely will come back and try again.

Came here on a week night to pick up dinner and ordered a koobideh platter. I really wanted to like this place and become a regular since its in a convenient location and price seemed fair. Customer service I must say was very friendly and welcoming however the food wait was really long, almost 15 minutes and it did not taste as flavourful and juicy as I was hoping. Decor is nice and it is very clean, maybe I’ll give their chicken a try next time.

My first time visiting this restaurant was very pleasant from the moment we walked in and left. Another close to closing encounter, yet the guys informed us they are able to serve us if we were ordering take-out, which was the case. My friend wasn't sure what to order as this was their first time at a middle eastern Restaurant and was offered samples! Amazing! After our orders were completed we were informed our meals came with a drink and the owners added extras to my friends order which was very kind and much appreciated. My lamb shank was very tender and delicious, my friend loved the meal also. We will definitely revisit if in the area, highly recommended.

I have been to a lot of different kebab places and this 0lace is the best I've had by far! You can tell that the ingredients they use are great quality and the service is amazing. At first I thought I was just hungry but even when I was getting full the food still tasted amazing. Price was reasonable, there were 4 of us and we got a platter, it got all of us very full. Will definitely be going back here.

First Time visiting the Village Kebab Restaurant and was really impressed... The restaurant is very clean and the ambience relaxing. The food was presented in an amazing way, in time, and delicious. This is going to be our go to place from now on!

We decided to try Village of Kebab today. We ordered the chicken breast wrap. It came to just over $13 and was decidedly mediocre. The wrap was small and we did not feel we received good value for the money we spent. It tasted fine but it was nothing special. The gentleman who served us was not very friendly or welcoming. He was eating/chewing something when he came out from the kitchen to take our order. He did not ask us what topping we wanted on the wrap. Since it was our first time at this establishment, we didn’t know what the options were or if we could get a hot/spicy sauce added. He seemed entirely indifferent when serving us making us feel like our business was not appreciated. For roughly the same amount of money, we typically get a shawarma wrap from Flaming Stove in Newmarket and it is huge - a much better value for your money with generous portions, very friendly service and better tasting as well. I don’t think that we will be back.

It was the best Beryani that we had in Toronto. The taste was original and high quality. Koobideh kabab was okay but not the best. It was low in fat. Barg kabab was juicy and tender. I highly recommend this place. The staff was nice and friendly.

Not the most authentic Persian kebab restaurant that I've tried, but this one is definitely very good. Everything was in huge portion, especially the rice. We wanted to order their barley soup, unfortunately that was unavailable when we visited.

My experience has been excellent. I've been here about a handful of times now. Let's start with the obvious because some of the lesser reviews do not give you proper context. Google (and some people) will generalize this to Persian, which is a broad group of similar, popularly generalized as kebab. Thank you to some who clarified, this is Iranian. I knew this, I asked them on my first visit, but forgot. I'm Vietnamese, and even I might be offended if you generalized all Viet restaurants since food from different regions across Vietnam is different. You need to be able to appreciate it for what it is - this family's rendition of food from the region they're from. We all know, even you and your neighbour (back home) cook the same dishes differently. So let's start by saying thank you to this family for sharing. It's part of what makes Toronto such an awesome food city. You don't like this one, like some others say, just try another "Persian" restaurant within a 10km radius. This place is a definite go back and support them more type of restaurant! Most all of us who try this place will say the food quality is excellent. The meat's well seasoned, properly cooked, juicy, and yes, does not come with "sauce". I haven't been to Iran, cannot comment on various parts, but I have coincidentally been to a few Iranian restaurants, and can say from those, they don't typically give a "sauce" with the meat. What they'll usually give you to ensure you're not complaining about things being dry is the roasted tomato that you'll mash in with the rice to make it a bit more aromatic. And sprinkle on the sumac to give you a little of that citrus hit. Like another reviewer said, it'd be great if they threw in more tomatoes for free if you ask, or that roasted pepper. That's delicious too! The rice is always well cooked. If you're ordering the platter, they'll throw a slice of naan at the bottom to soak up the juices - this ends up being quite tasty. Service is always friendly; I've never had a problem. I'm guessing some of those negative reviews maybe caught the staff at a bad moment, or maybe it's just what it is. But in my experiences now, I've never noticed anyone being rude, or curt, or anything negative. They're usually polite and smiling. =) They can only see my eyes smiling as I'm always wearing a mask. They take credit card, which is good, and parking is easy. I've never been there when it's crazy busy, so wait times are never too bad. Like many other Persian restaurants, they don't seem to grill up the meats in advance to speed up your order time, but that also means your meats aren't dry. Be patient, and enjoy the delicious food. I've ordered the plates, and the platters, and so far so good. Keep up the great work!

Excuse my messy photo. I started eating as I was too hungry and then remembered that I forgot to snap one for the reviewers, so please accept my apologies :D Price was reasonable and food was good. It wasn’t the best kebab I have had but I can’t complain either. Lets see how they will do in the future. I might come back to this after more visits to add to their story and yeah will upload a better photo next time

Was driving around the area, felt like having koobideh. Google Maps recommended this spot and it didn't disappoint. Portions were good, definitely will give it another shot whenever I'm in the area again.

The family platter 3 was superb and portion wise, it was wayyy generous & enough for 5 or even 6 people for just $67 Very yummy , juicy and tasty kebabs, Barg(tenderloin) and chicken legs. The saffron rice and tahdig(bottom of the pot) were just perfect and the best I have had so far in Richmond Hill or even Toronto. Highly recommend this hidden gem on Elgin Mills rd

An amazing one stop shop to pick up groceries and dinner. Their pastries are absolutely DELICIOUS 😋 and customer service was on point. Super friendly staff and very fresh hot table foods including their charcoal BBQ chicken and beef kebabs. 100% recommended!

One stop shop for Iranian cooked foods, snacks and cooking needs including marinated raw meat too. The cooked foods part offers a lot of delicious foods and they even have a weekly daily special where they only serve a specific dish one day of the week only. Prices are reasonable and staff are very polite and friendly. It’s also very clean and the staff follow health and safety protocols well, it seems. Properly masked and using clean gloves and all.
