I am not someone who likes to complain... If anything, I always try to avoid conflict but this one touched me... A supervisor created a scene because my family (who's visiting from out of town and isn't fluent in English) wasn't replying fast enough. This female supervisor started to make a scene and created a lot of unwanted and unnecessary attention towards my parents and siblings. To the point that they started to question our purchases... keep in mind that I've been a loyal customer in Costco Kamloops for 3 years and I've done purchases double in size from the one today. Never had a single issue. So I don't know what else to do, besides make this public and make sure that my friends that work at Costco and other friends in town know the name of this supervisor and have all of them come over and complain about this awful situation... It's unacceptable.

I went here with my brother today, tried to buy over $200 for our household ontop of the $800 our household has purchased since yesterday & because he was paying with his card they wouldn’t complete our transaction. Talked to the “manager” Vicki & she was not helpful for us at all.. just said that its for our own safety that no one is shopping without a membership.. but he wasnt shopping without a membership. I was there.

Costco Wholesale has the exact same design no matter where in Canada. You always find items from the same direction, also same membership benefits. Nice and clean ready for members, even after a whole day business. When you are on lines for self checkout, they will politely guide you to the available spot. When I just crossing and looking for something, they will ask you “do you need any help” with smile on purpose. Happy place in Kamloops for family grocery

Great selection of items! Lineups can be long, but there is also a self-checkout that goes relatively quickly. Staff is so nice. Gas is always cheaper than anywhere else in town and the food court has large portions (the poutine!!!) with good prices! Plenty of parking. No complaints.

The employees give you death stares when you're walking in like its some kind of secret club and you should be glad you're attending. Great place and all but I want to just shop, not feel like I'm Jared Leto.

It's nice to be relatively close to a Costco again. I look at the prices of these small town grocery stores and I'm in shock. Going to Costco things are clearly much cheaper although there still is a bit of a sticker shock due to the rising inflation.

Good products as usual but employees rude. Two cashiers tried to push a MasterCard on me after I said no and the checker as we left was rude, not friendly at all. Best part: i asked a food demonstrator if she knew where the maple syrup was as it used to be where she was demonstrating and she told me you can't ask me that question. You can only ask a person in a yellow apron. Sure but just say you don't know. She made me feel as if I'd ask a personal inappropriate question with her tone and words. Costco is usually friendly but this store really isn't.

Stopped here on our travels back to Alberta. My son wanted a hot dog so we came in and our experience was pretty good. Not a huge wait for food and the food was hot. Thanks again Costco.

Saturday morning was surprisingly quiet. It didn't get busy until about 1.5 hours after opening. Staff is always amazing here. I recognize employees from 10 years ago so they must be doing something right!

A usual store. Not special nor cheaper. We just enjoyed walking in it with the kids to stretch out our muscles in the mid way to Calgary. The people are nice in here.

I had a terrible experience at the local costco in Kamloops. I went through the self checkout and had to do 2 purchases due to a limited budget as a local university student as my budget is tight and I have 2 bank accounts that are used. The man working the self checkout, Gus, was extremely rude and after explaining my situation he explained that he doesn’t care and can’t help me in anyway. I am very disapointed in the customer service provided. I do not recommend shopping here, especially as a student.

Cheap gas, shoppers are a nightmare. Off hours are best time to go. Gas bar is an absolute disaster. Whoever thought it out for getting out on the same space as getting into the gas bar, should be fired. My advice, when getting gas, do a good double take as there are 2 exits into the inflow of traffic to the gas bar. As well, make sure to head to the farthest west exit to leave. It's far less of a nightmare, and getting onto highway by the cozy clean is far better than the round about exit area.

Standard Costco with a gas bar. Great meat select, probably the best quality in town, and where else can you get an unlimited supply if pickled eggs ;).

Was my first time in Costco, went spur of the moment with my old friend that came to town so I brought some cash to come with. Went to go pay and was told I couldn’t because I’m not the one with the card, cashier was very demeaning, rude and her helper also chimed in with unnecessary side comments. Half an hour later after manager lectured us on the rules was told I could’ve used my cash all along to pay for the other half. Would’ve bought a membership had the staff interaction not gone so bad, quite embarrassing.

Good prices, great service, and great selection. They process even the longest lineups quickly. Gas bar is usually 8-10 cents cheaper than everyone else. The executive membership with CC paid for itself 4 times over last year.

Generally busy but has most of what you need. Was very disappointed that when trying to purchase gaming gift cards for my kids, that I could not purchase at self checkout. No signage indicating this fact until you are informed while actually trying to scan at self checkout. Was informed that it could only be done at cashier checkout. Waited for 15 minutes in the self checkout line. I wasn't going to wait another 15 at the cashier. Since the cards were all I had, I put them down and left. Costco...you can do better at informing the consumer ahead of time.

This is the most efficient Costco parking lot set-up that I have ever been to. The gas bar traffic does not interrupt the regular shopper traffic. The gas bar traffic moves quickly. The shopper traffic does not seem to get jammed up. Everyone seems to be able to enter and exit with ease. And this is a shocker...there are enough parking spots! So, if you are on a road trip, this is a good stop. Get your fuel, get your washroom stop and there is hot food too. The best part is its priximity to the highway exit. It is really easy to access. I will actually stop and do my shopping here and then travel with it the rest of the way to Langley to avoid a Costco shop in the lower-mainland. It is worth my sanity. I just take cooler bags.

Going shopping just to get samples? Costco is the place for you. My only real gripe is that they buy crates and crates of food and get you hooked on something....only to find out they have no more stock (argh!) But hey, good prices , large quantities , $1.50 hotdogs and don't forget the french fries!

Staff is there to enforce no outsiders come in. Extremely unhelpful, cashiers woukd not let me pay for a teddy bear separate from my work order for tax purposes. Anytime I'm there it's awful, if it weren't for the prices I would never shop here it's a headache. Only ppl worse than the staff are the customers

Costco. What a great place. If I ever became homeless, I'd buy a Costco card and go everyday for samples. Update: Visited Costco Nanaimo. OMG! Sample extradinair. Started out with salad (3 rounds) chips and dip (3 rounds) Italian sausage (6 rounds) Chicken won tons ( 10?) Chick pea pasta ( 2 rounds) calamari and dip(2 rounds) yogurt and raisins, protein drink (2 rounds) and finishing with a coffee. Only thing missing was a big slab of cheesecake. Kudos to the staff Costco Nanaimo. 👏

I went to Costco today. i went in about 1pm. It was a good day . I love the shopping experience. Even though it was busy the shopping experience was great. I was greeted by the employee at front store and with a smile.. I really like the kamloops store it is always well stocked and very easy to find necessities for the a person’s life. Being a solo shopper things are definitely easier for me as for family shopping it maybe harder but for me it’s a great store. I found everything i needed and a good experience. The girl at the check out was friendly also ask if i found everything and made my experience even better because i could tell she liked her job and could tell on her face!! So i am a regular shopper 1 a werk and definitely go back!! 5/5

Decent amount of parking, usually not too busy except for peak hours, gas bar, decent selection of products.

On Saturday It was snowing and we parked in the loading bay, the guy came out and said to me 'you can't park here!' 'someone else needs to load' I said we will be loading, shortly... So i got out of the passenger seat and drove to the front door and parked outside. While i waited no-one came to park in the loading zone no-one !!! What the hell! Maybe he was having a bad day and he projected all his frustration at me!

Great place to get some Christmas shopping 🛍 done. Prices are better than anywhere else in town especially on toys for the kids!

Always love your local Costco. Great prices on red meat and chicken. They always manage to have the best staff as well, but that's probably because they compensate them so well. Overall an amazing company. Buy cheap gas.

Great prices on bulk items. Membership required. I go as a guest of cardholder. Can not buy / pay unless member but members can pay cash, credit or debit. Now can use KoHo there. Self check out tills available. Busy location. Gas bar annoying spot & causes traffic congestion at main entrance use second one to avoid.

It's a Costco. BUT! I do find the staff very helpful, courteous, respectful and happy to deal with. Overall it's the best one I've dealt with and seeing all the familiar, happy faces continually makes the experience that much better. So to all staff and management at this Costco, keep up all the great work to make our family experience here pleasant ones ❤️👏🙂

Your typical Costco. It's been extremely busy every time I go, but not quite as busy as other Costco's in Calgary. Store is clean and tidy. Gas station is redonkulously busy.
