First of all, I'm not giving this place one star just because of the one very nice waitress that served us at the lounge. Really poor experience here. Tables look nice but the service is really mixed. We were a group of 8 looking to play. We waited 2 hrs for a table in their lounge. They have a 4-6 people limit per table, but they still only gave us a single table... not 2 minutes later they came back and told us we had to split our party into two tables or leave. We were fine renting another table (which they should have given us in the first place) but they wanted us to go back into the lounge to wait again. Hearing this, we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. They insisted we had to pay for the table we were at for two minutes. In summary, a bad experience.

Google reviews really needs a negative star option, because one star makes it seem like the service is remotely ok, which this place is so far from. We stood waiting for our drinks to be taken from the pool table area to the "dining room" area for over ten minutes. There is a ten foot radius where you cannot have alcohol. Not sure what kind of insane licensing they've agreed to but it makes zero sense and seems like a headache for all involved. The train wreck that was working the till kept serving other people coming in. Our pool time was accumulating standing there as no one was coming to help after ten minutes. We finally decided after ten minutes to bring our drinks ten feet to the counter as it was clear no one was going to greet us. We were met by the absolute worst customer service I have ever come across. The “woman” called us a liar and said we weren’t waiting long at all and was aggressively banging the computer screen punching in about fifty different things with a vile look on her face. We paid (probably extra for the pool time for waiting so long) and did not tip (for one drink) after being met with this awful attitude. We always tip well, so this service is a testament to how awful it had to be to leave no tip. The “woman” questioned us as to why we did not tip as if it was not blatantly clear why we didn't. Imagine having the audacity to question a patron as to why they didn't tip. Tipping isn't mandatory and is based on customer service, which this place has none of. We questioned where our drinks were as there was no direction after having them ripped from our hands and met with attitude yet again and she asked if we still wanted to drink them. I most certainly did not feel comfortable even consuming the drink after this unnecessary altercation, but my husband wanted to have his out of principal. It felt as if she hid our drinks with no intention on returning them to us. My husband had half a drink and I did not even want to have my drink after this. This was clearly not an intoxication issue as we didn't consume one drink combined by this point. While my husband was drinking his drink, another staff member with space buns came over to tell us that they needed the table as they had a party coming in. Even though this was a random Tuesday and the place was empty with plenty of tables left. It was clear the large, angry server with excessive fake eyelashes told her to kick us out. This has discouraged us from coming here again. My husband was considering joining the pool league here but we will definitely look elsewhere because the atmosphere here is awful. We are in shock at the scum that works there. Absolute shock. It's clearly only an environment for trashy people. I know Victoria is desperate for staff, but wow, this is as low as you can get. Customer service is just that, customer service, and this place has none. If you want to be abused, this is the place for you. Shaking my head… *Also sent two emails with no return email. Even the manager doesn't care about customers.

I hadn't been here in a very long time. We went for a birthday with 2 handfuls of people. We had to rent two pool tables just to stay there. We ordered food from the bar: the bigger girl with fluffy hair helped us and was coughing the whole transition, no smile, no greet, I kinda felt her to be a bit rude to be a CSR/bartender. The food showed up it was a pitiful chicken breast on top looked from frozen not satisfied for $18.00, bacon was over crispy you can tell it had been sitting there all day. We got 3 pitchers and a few drinks as well as multiple plates of food a $450.00 day an I have to say our business never felt appreciated. Where did customer service go that use to be #1 the women's bathroom was trashed, garbage everywhere. Lots of younger adults not many people over 30 years of age. We were gone at 6:30 and there was still a few tables. The heat was pumping and it was overly hot in there almost unbearable 😫 😩 Don't know if I will come back!

I visit peacocks atleast once in every 2 weeks. I love this place because it's easily accessible and open till late night. Their food is great and there are a lot of tables. I'm giving them 4 stars because even though most of the staff is really nice, there are a few exceptions who do not interact that well and look disinterested in serving us. That's something which can be acknowledged by letting customers provide real time feedback while paying their bills.

Great Hall with an absolutely delicious menu. I ordered truffle fries and spinach dip and it was the perfect snack! I also ordered a Blue Hawaiian drink and I would recommend this, however I would suggest ordering with more sev and less pineapple juice. The pineapple really took over the drink. Hope to be back soon!

A great place to get together with your friends or family! I have gone for both the pool and the food. The pool usually has a line on the busy nights and they charge extra for playing on weekend nights due to the high demand. I've only had the hot dogs and yam fries for food but both were great, leaving me wanting more. There is a drinking side and non drinking for the pool tables so if you want to have a few while you play you can. You also can order food and eat while you play. They supply cues to use. Definitely will come back here every few months!

I'll start with the positive, the food and atmosphere were great! However, the service was slow and in the 2 and a half hours we spent there (from 7 - 9 30) we weren't offered a pool table. Saw people get their pool table that were behind us first, felt like we were forgotten about.

Nice tables and cozy lighting. The servers do a poor job of actually serving. Rather they simply take orders, deliver food and do an excellent job of being rude and making guests feel unwelcome. Maybe they missed the “public facing” part of the job description when they applied. Overall just disappointed that a nice place can be so poorly staffed. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this was the exception.

Pool is fun. Prices are reasonable. And the food and drink are good! I am repeat offender with one of my friends for going just for their chicken tenders. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is I have had some interesting interactions with the staff a few times I have gone. But normally the service is great!

Peacock’s is my favourite bar in town! All the servers are bartenders are super nice and know how to have a good conversation. The food is decent and so are the drinks. Everything you need in a pub! Special shout-out to Sarah, Rebecca and Barry.

Front desk guy was very rude towards my daughter and her friend (both 16 years old)even yelled at them because my daughter’s friend was finishing her ice cream at the door. Totally unacceptable!!

Always a great time. Unfortunately very busy on Friday nights, but friendly staff nonetheless!

20+ billiard tables of various sizes. Took a minute to find a decent stick (bring your own if you have one), but worth going to a place with an open table. Beverages, cocktails and food available. Restrooms were clean. If you enjoy shooting pool definitely check it out.

I loved it here. So many tables to choose from! The service was very friendly and food and drinks added to the fun. I plan on returning again and again. Thank you to the staff!

Peacock Billiards is a bastion of tranquility and class in downtown Victoria. The tables are varied according to your preference in size and style, the cues are kept in perfect condition and the food is affordable and amazing. If you are lucky enough to run into Mr. Peacock, he will happily give you a tour of the dozens of art pieces hanging on the walls, each with its own story to tell. The staff are dedicated and helpful. Disregard earlier reviews saying otherwise. You simply have to ask for what you need and it will be provided. Being in Downtown Victoria, they get plenty of hard-to-deal-with customers, but once they know you are not one, you will be treated well. Best time to go: opening hours. You'll get a chance to see some of the best players in Victoria gathering for daily practice. There are plenty of comfortable couches for viewing and relaxing with a coffee, an alcoholic drink, or a hot tea (try the African tea - its great). I'm so happy this place is there to step out of the hustle and bustle of downtown's madness. It's safe in there and the music is great as well.

Really enjoyable experience; clean, welcoming, options for family play, and lots of tables so waits are not onerous. The pricing is very reasonable and we had a great time.

Had the half order of poutine, cheap and yummy and big portions! Lots of fun, and we didn't have to wait long for a pool table on a Friday night even though it was pretty busy. Definitely recommend, happy we have a place like this to play pool.

There is an espresso bar but still a bar. Good atmosphere, reminded me of the pool halls back home. They have a selection of pinball machines that isn't well advertised.

This place is wonderfully unique. You can go with friends to play some billiards, or sit quietly in a booth and actually be able to have a conversation without screaming at each other. Staff here are always friendly and the service is great.

This is a great place for both casual pool players & the pros. Call ahead to customize your fun by reserving your tables (or other games) in advance. Service is great - staff are very accommodating! My small group of friends meet on Monday & Thursday evening to play 8-ball for a few hours and we always have fun. Stop by to check it out because we are always looking for new people to play. Great skills are nice to have but a good attitude is more important. 🙂 Regardless, check out the place; you will not be disappointed. D.

This was a lovely find during a day trip to Vancouver Island from Vancouver itself. There were a variety of tables with good facilities and fair prices for drinks (it helped that we arrived during happy hour). My son remarked that, very fairly, they charged less per hour for an individual as well. Repairs to tables and their mechanisms were being undertaken while we were there (in one corner) indicating a level of expertise and pride in the quality of provision.
