No flights, but tasty pints and friendly staff. Patio dog friendly. Riverside Hazy IPA is delicious and dangerous. Doesn't taste like 7%. Berserker Fruited Sour is balanced nicely.

Came here Thursday for date night, it was 4:10, says it opens at 4. We were greeted by a girl who tells us they aren't open till 430, so I suggest we sit on the patio and have a drink or two until the kitchen opens up, well she gave a little huff and was like " ugh I don't think the taps are even on, but I'll ask ", before she left my bf stopped her and asked how the food was...she goes " well I work here so of course I'm going to say it's good ", then leaves to the bar area. We stood waiting a few minutes and decided that we would rather find a place that actually wants customers, so we sat in the truck outside for a few more minutes discussing where to go. Well we could clearly see into the restaurant and see her still standing at the bar talking to the guy. I was really looking forward to coming here and trying the food and drinks, unfortunately after that service I won't be returning. Hope they find a nicer hostess in the future.

Date of Visit: Sun Dec 11, 2022 We have been fans of Royal city brewery for years - often stopping in to pick up beer to take home and occasionally sitting and enjoying a beer with friends. However the newest service offered at RCBC is the Beer Hall, offering a nice menu of food items. the night we were there - there were only a few other guests. The space is rather large - and has long community tables which would accommodate large groups of people quite easily. The space is well decorated, clean, and has a great atmosphere - without being too loud, or obnoxious. I expected very basic food items - but I was pleasantly surprised by the menu. I had the (seasonal) Turkey sandwich dinner sandwich with gravy, brie, and spicy mustard. We also had the Duck Confit dinner. Both meals were spectacular The flavours were great, and meals were well prepared. This was a pleasant surprise to see such wonderful meal options on their menu. The choices of beers on tap is quite an exhaustive list of in-house brew, local brews, collaborations, and more. You will love visiting the Royal City Brewery Beer Hall for drinks, or dinner. Prices were very reasonable for quality food. The service was exceptional. While the place wasn't very busy, the lady serving us was very attentive, friendly, and engaging.

One of my favorite craft breweries! Always warm welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The smoked honey is one of their staples well enjoyed by all. Today I paid them a visit to see what was new and I'm glad I did. "Niklaas" now on sale! Very delightful on the palate especially for being 9%. If you can get one before they sell out I highly recommend it. Community Collab with Guelph Arts Council is spot on. I don't normally enjoy a pale ale but this is worth trying. Love the staff and what they do, keep up the good work !🍻

We went around past 1pm on Friday, the place was huge. It was nice as we were seated right away. There wasn't much people around so the service was pretty good. They mostly have long tables only unless you sit at the patio or by the bar. So being seated for 2 people on a long table was kinda awkward lol The food menu was kind of exciting BUT the food itself were all disappointing. We ordered tacos and sausage bun. It was so dry and sad looking, honestly. Sausage was so tiny on that bun for its price. Drink menu was very limited but the smoked honey was good. I do recommend their smoked honey beer and the pretzel.

Stumbled upon this pub looking for a place to eat in Guelph. Really fun atmosphere; great good and extensive beer selection. And a retail store too. There is an outdoor patio and picnic tables inside. My wife had schnitzel and I had flatbread--big tasty portions.

Was here for a small wedding party and it was a great place. Great food and the beers were awesome. They have different kinds for all types of beer lovers.

Finally got around to checking out the beer hall and so glad we did. We got the pretzel trio and chorizo sausage with duck fat fries. All was really good. Reminded me of Wurst in Toronto, but with more local beers. Will definitely be back!

Great space, service, and beer. We were pleased to get a few tasting flights. We were not at all impressed with the amateur food plates which were all fails including mussels and tofu tacos. My advice would be to go for beers and maybe a light snack - but eat elsewhere.

It's our craft brewery in Guelph! There's picnic table style seating in the beer hall is great (a little loud) and a good sized patio. There's a smaller space you can rent for group events. My go-to beer is Exhibition IPA. Light, citrusy and crisp. The Earl Grey Porter is a lovely seasonal beer. I'm a big fan of the tacos, and people say the schnitzel is great too!

We recently hosted a 75th birthday for my mother-in-law at Royal City and had an incredible experience. Amber was our contact in preparation for the event and made planning seamless! We could not have been more grateful for the amazing service, the incredible food and, of course, the great beer! All in all, we would highly recommend this as a venue for hosting an event but are also looking forward to going back ourselves. Great place!

We tried this place out on a Sunday afternoon. One side was occupied for a private event, and the other side had a good variety of picnic benches. It was a nice vibe and the service was good. We only tried the duck fries which was great and had a flight each! Will be back!

Had a great lunch here! Chicken schnitzel was soooo juicy (can you believe it’s breast meat??) and the cheesy spaetzle was a call back to mac and cheese. Loved everything with the acidic condiments (lemon, onions, pickle). The sausage was also delicious, snappy and juicy chorizo yumyum duck fat fries were perfect - crispy and fluffy. The bun is not my fave - falls apart a little too easily while eating even when toasted well, doesn’t stand up to the sausage Pretzels are a must here, we always get the trio with the sauces (curry ketchup is my fave) - super soft and well salted! Bread pudding was good but a tad sweet and would be infinitely better with ice cream! Would recommend coming when it’s not too busy (Sun lunch was quite empty) as we have found the food dips in quality when the kitchen is overwhelmed!

Me and my boyfriend have been here a total of 4 times. Each experience has been very delightful and the atmosphere is astronomical. We always get the pretzels which are amazingly delicious, and the staff here are always kind. The service is always top notch and very fast. The waiters /waitresses always check up at least 4-5 times during dinner service. They offer free tasters for beer, which is awesome. Would recommend and will continue to come back. - Ak and Logan

First visit. Beer and food was good, patio and beer hall were nice as well. If I were to make one suggestion please don’t gouge people on kids/non alcoholic items. Came with my kid for lunch and asked for a Ginger Ale for my son. They proceeded to open a can of ginger ale and pour half of it into a plastic cup. I was expecting them just to hand me the can, but they placed the can behind the bar. A little weird I guess but I shrugged it off and went to have our lunch. My kid finished the cup and asked for a refill, so I went to the bar and asked if they did refills on kids drinks which I was told they didn’t. So I asked to just order another kids Ginger ale, which they charged me $3.96 for and then proceeded to pour the rest of the can they left behind the bar the first time! So in the end I paid over $8 FOR A SINGLE CAN OF GINGER ALE!!! If you want to encourage families to come or customers having designated drivers, please don’t gouge people on non alcoholic drinks.

Had a great time at Royal City Brewing Company.First time here for a birthday celebration, it was fantastic! The building is bright and well thought out, lots of natural light from all the windows. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their beer, tell them what you like and they will recommend one to suit your tastes. I tried the riverside IPA and the stout, both fantastic. The food it's defintly pub food, try their soft pretzel, burgers and sausage looked amazing as well. Last but certainly not least, I am in a motorized wheelchair so finding places that are wheelchair friendly isn't easy. Nice big doors to get in the layout of the restaurant makes for easy travel and if your in a wheelchair you will appreciate the bathroom. Push button entry, huge space to pull in and maneuver around all in all a really excellent spot for either a get together or a celebration. Cheers 🍻 on a job well done.

What an awesome first experience. All the beers I tried were a 7/10 or better. The food was fantastic, lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Came on a Tuesday so got the pretzel and pitcher deal (SO WORTH IT) and ordered some beer to go straight from my table. Definitely going to be a regular here hahaha.

Fantastic renovation to create a beer hall at this great brewery. Good selection of beer on tap and alternatives available. Duck poutine is excellent. Very good and sizeable chicken sandwich. Will become a regular spot for weekend lunches

We have always enjoyed this place over the years, whether it was to drop in for a drink or pick up beer but then saw that they have expanded the space and now host events. So we bought tickets for the drag show tonight and it was AMAZING! We had the best time, we enjoyed great drinks and atmosphere and the show was fabulous. We are so happy that Royal City Brewing company supported, promoted and hosted this event. The entertainers were professional, talented and brilliant. Thank you for a great evening.

Love going here. It’s our go to spot. The renovation is amazing and the food is excellent my only thought would be to offer a beer/cheese dip as an option with the pretzels. 😊 can’t say enough about this place and the staff.

Enjoyed beautiful fall weather on the outdoor patio along with an incredible selection of beer on tap and a pop-up of pressed for time panini’s! Yum.

We love having Royal City in the neighbourhood. Great selection of beers for reasonable prices. We’re just down the road, but you can’t beat free local delivery on a rainy/snowy day. Looking forward to the taproom reopening- here’s hoping that one day they open an outdoor patio 🤞🏼

Brilliant local brewery! Excellent variety for whatever the mood. Really enjoy stopping after work to have one on the patio. Friendly team too!

Love going here to support my favorite home town brewery. I love to sample the different beers and chat with the friendly staff. Every now and then you find something new or discover a great beer. Like Bootleg Cream Ale

First time at the Royal City Brewing Company (Saturday Oct 2nd 2021 - Approx 8:30pm) I always drive by but never had the opportunity to come in to checkout this amazing Brewery Company. The store itself has a great setup and display. Besides being very clean and have a great atmosphere 👍🏻 Their staff is very friendly and helpful. I was assisted by Britney. She is so knowledgeable, super polite and friendly. The beer that I purchased here at the Royal City Brewing Company was just perfect... very cold and ready to be drank; not like the ones you buy at LCBO and/or the BeerStore that they are just cool. The Royal City Brewing Company location is just perfect for me, is at only 4 minutes from my house, but now that I know the place, I will come no matter the distance. I regret that I didn't come before. I waited until I had my beers to provide a feedback. The Royal City beers are amazing, very tasteful and refreshing. The Exhibition IPA and the Riverside IPA are my new favorites. If you are thinking in having a great, delicious and refreshing beer... don't look any further, the Royal City Brewing Company is the place to be. Fully recommended 😉😁😎🤟🏻🍁🇨🇦

Went over when visiting Guelph. Only a takeout was open due to renovations. Staff was nice enough to give info on other breweries for a sit down experience. We purchased a few brews to take with us and was not dissapointed.
