This place is unreal. You could spend all day here browsing. It's less of a bookstore and more of a book labyrinth. If you like old stuff, be sure to check out the basement.

What a great book store. Amazing collection at very reasonable prices. Came to Parry Sound for a ferry ride, found this place and was so happy with my experience. Must watch place for anyone visiting Parry Sound and local people living here are lucky. Please book lovers auppprt your local brick and mortar book shops, else shark called Amazon will swallow everything and such treasure houses will only exist in history books.

This is my favourite bookstore! The staff, including the owner, Melissa, are amazing. They are friendly, helpful, personable, give great recommendations, and go the extra mile. My Papa uses a wheelchair and they have been known to go into the basement and get a box of books for him where overhearing a type he wanted. The owner’s dog, Cagney, is an older black lab who is a retired service dog. As such, he is so calm and well behaved. It is a joy to give this senior dog a pet between browsing the book aisles. The selection of books here is unparalleled. They have an unbelievable amount of them organized throughout the building. If you are looking for something specific just mention it to them and they will show you where it is or put it on a list to inform you of when it comes in. This is also a wonderful place to sell your old books. They give very fair prices and it is good knowing they are going to go back into the world and be enjoyed by other readers. This is an amazing small business that employs many locals and is a fantastic place to go. I cannot recommend it highly enough!!

This is my favorite second hand bookstore! You can trade in your own used books for store credit. There are many rooms filled with books at very affordable prices! The staff are great and they have very nice washrooms and the water front is near by.

Lovely bookstore and one happy bookworm 📚 I bearly (pun intended) spent enough time here... I could honestly have wandered among books all day! Such a big selection of novels, genres, languages, topics... definitely something for everyone! And the couches surrounded by bookshelves? Just perfect.

Massive! Nice and knowledgeable staff and dog friendly. Also some music sheets. You can get lost in those books. Conditions of books vary of course. There are some great condition finds in there as well.

My favourite book store in Parry Sound 🥰 amazing selection, I was able to find books I've been seeking for years, and added to some of my collections. Their trade-in policy is perfect. Wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling, endless rooms of books. Something for everyone, be sure to visit when you're in town!

This is amazing place. More than 400 thousand used books at this place. It's a readers treasure.

Awesome bookstore. Claims to have over 300,000 books but that seems like a low estimate. Friendly staff are only too happy to help find what you're looking for, and they have a very generous trade in policy. Worth the drive to visit.

It's the go-to place for all the people camping or cottaging on a rainy day. There are so many rooms, so many books. It can be a bit overwhelming if you don't know what you want. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area.

This is arguably the best used bookstore I have ever been to in my life! I've lived in Toronto, Victoria, Montreal, and Halifax, visiting many other towns and cities around the country as well. The selection is incredible. Not only did I find the book I was looking for, but I could choose from 3 different editions of it for purchase. Prices are reasonable, and it looks like you can build credit with the store by giving them your old books. Pretty awesome shop!

Amazing book shop. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wonderful selection of books. The downstairs is a hidden gem. Couple of chairs dotted around too. Great place for a browse but you will spend way longer in here than you anticipate!

Amazing bookstore! Stunning collection of a wide range of books that appeal to a wide range of audience. Visited Parry Sound with my family for a cabin stay and ferry ride when we found this hidden gem! Highly recommend for book lovers!

These people know their books and their stock!! I was looking for a specific children’s book which is out of print; they were initially going to put me on a waiting list, but emailed back later that day that they had it on hand. They mailed it to me, and even were able to use letter mail (cheaper), and all in less than a week! Great, personal, small business-type service at its best! We always try to get to their physical store when near Parry Sound, and recommend to our friends to pop by and check them out too!

Amazing bookstore. So many options and super friendly staff, who helped me find everything I was looking for. I am so excited to come back and continue to feed into my addiction to reading. The bookshelves are stacked to the roof and there are books everywhere including on the floor but honestly it just shows how committed they are to finding the perfect book for everyone. It’s about a 30 minute drive from my place but I would make it in a heartbeat to come back!

This is a very interesting place, literally full of books from floor to ceiling. We exchanged a bunch our books and got a discount on the purchases we made. Prices are very fair, and the selection is pretty amazing as long as you're willing to do a bit of browsing through the vast stacks of books.

Best used book store I’ve ever been to. Huge selection of books in any genre at great prices, very well organized. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but when you walk in, the store is huge. I make sure to visit every time I’m in Parry Sound. The credit system they have when you donate books is great. They record any credits and you can redeem whenever you want, not just the same day. I came with a list of books I wanted this year and they had almost each one. I was very impressed.

Love, love, love that this store exists. It reminded me of the magic bookstores in Terry Pratchett books that are tiny on the outside but immense inside! Incredible collection of books of all kinds, lovely and knowledgeable staff and unbeatable prices! Extra points for the comfy, inviting chairs hidden in each nook... Highly recommend!
