There is a lot to say about this place. The Good & Bad: For us this was a nice place to take a family with two kids (ages 6 & 13). The water park is nice and the slides are great. The water park is across the street from the Hotel and is a five minute walk from the main lobby. There is an underpass which is nice so you don’t have to cross a road. The staff is absolutely fantastic!! It is extremely affordable relative to other places. This is not your 5 star resort in Aruba or a Ritz Carlton, you need to know that going in. I see a bunch of one star reviews which make me question what those people’s expectations were. But I found a great amount of value for our money. Managing this part of your expectation isn’t important, it’s paramount. With that said sometimes mealtime can be a bit challenging. The bartenders were great and the waitstaff amazingly friendly. They were great with masks and required it when at the buffett. The Front Desk checked us in quickly and were very professional. I liked the fact that this was not in the Hotel Zone. It’s a 10 minute walk to “Town” or some of the smaller stores and a 12 minute cab ride into the real commercial part of Cancun. Cabs were extremely easy to find. It’s a 20 - 30 minute drive to and from the airport. Now it’s a small hotel with about 115 rooms, which I like because it offers a quaint feel but the drawbacks are limited options with food and sometimes long lines at the buffet. All of the rooms over the water and the sunrises are absolutely magnificent. The beach area is small (really narrow) and so is the pool is compared to other hotels we stayed at in the Cancun area. Overall we had a wonderful time, and it was a nice getaway.

Great room, and great price. Food was clean, but was not the most flavorful, which is preferred since you want to get out there and explore. The location is away from the hotel zone, which is great to avoid traffic, but close enough to the airport. Water park was nice. They had a nice calisthenics jungle gym, but be careful with your hands. The metal is not coated properly. The weight gym was below average. But your workouts should be at the Cenotes and in the warm ocean any how

While staying at this hotel I forgot to mention that we used the safe to put out passports and some important papers. As we were told specifically to use the safe for our own good, We left the room only to come back and find that someone went into the safe and moved our passports and papers around as if they were looking for something else like money or jewelry. I had to carry all of my possessions and cash on me at all times. Also the room that we were in the water from the sink near the bathroom and the shower took a very long time to come on and when it did, the water came out brown. The pros of this vacation was the bar service and the water park, other than that this place is not what it seems. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The price was cheap so was the overall stay. They provide no accommodations for their own mess ups. Never again! You better run as fast as you can.

Food is horrible. Small pool. Very old inside and outside. Don't go there for any reason... For 9 days, lunch and dinner were absolutely the same and with the exception of soup for lunch, dinner consists of shrimp, pasta ,rise, beans, vegetables and two types of hot food - meat and fish.  Often there was not enough food for so many people, they was replaced it with yesterday's dry meat  instead of what it should have been.  dessert is absolutely the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  alcohol is only the cheapest.  the glasses were clean right there at the bar in soapy water and then rinsed under the tap.  There are no drinks in the minibar in the room, only two bottles of water per day per room.

Good sea and beach, but worst service I ever seen. 1. out toiled have leakage all the time of vacation, service said that it fixed abut it starts to leak in 1-2 hour again 2. Food was terrible. 3. Checkout at 12:00 pm and you cannot eat after that, even if you shuttle is later. Its first time I faced with such in all-inclusive hotels. 4. After checkout all hotel managers follow us and said to stuff that we are out of service anymore. Dear managers: spend your time on how to make service better, how to avoid leakage and how to make food better, but not to follow checked-out guests to prevent them to use you worst service.

THIS RESORT IS *NOT* *NOT* IN THE TRENDY AND POPULAR "HOTEL ZONE"! This is where blue collar Mexican, Columbian, etc come to take a family vacation. A short walk south of the property puts you at the local public beach with restaurants and street food. At 1am on Saturday a guy played music out of his car and we had a party. The resort is old but has lots of Mesa style character. The worker know they aren't a big fancy hotel but they put in 100% effort!!! The night time shows were entertaining! I made friends with folks from Mexico and Columbia!!! This resort is especially in a working class blue collar neighborhood and I loved it! I was hesitant based on reviews before arriving but it was an experience of a lifetime. In fact we didn't even go to the Hotel Zone etc while celebrating my buddy's birthday!!! Arturo, Armando, Eduardo, Addy, and everyone else made it great! If you're a flashy, fancy, trendy person that's living life for social media "Likes" this isn't the resort you may WANT but this is the one you NEED and don't realize it!!!

The hotel is old. The buffet is terrible and the service was poor. It is far from the strip and there are very few things to do nearby. THERE ARE NO ELEVATORS. It is on a private beach and has great views. Close to the Isla Mujeres Ferry.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your place. This site will compare hundreds of booking web sites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it I'm sure! The staff here is top notch. They treat it like an all inclusive and never pressure you to do more than that, tips wise, but we enjoyed them so much, we did. They are so kind and welcoming and genuinely appreciate your patronage. The layout is very small which I actually liked because you can get to things quickly. The water park is well maintained, and the ground's crew does as much as they can to keep the seaweed off the beach. A special thank you to the show cast, and the amazing Caesar, Lorena, Angelica, and Diego

I liked the hotel in general, service was good, food was good, I had all the drinks I wanted, the pools were good too, also my kids loved the Waterpark, only thing the water smell a bit, only reason I am giving 4 start instead of 5 is because we didn't had internet in rooms section we got, they should provide wifi to all the premises not for a section yes and other not. The room was like a small studio, but it didn't have fridge or microwave and that is a problem when you are traveling with kids. Out of that the hotel is very comfortable, clean and we had a lot of nice people working at the hotel all around the place.

This is not a flashy resort hotel. For that you can go to the very commercial hotel zone. Choose this if you want to be surrounded by an authentic experience away from the hustle and bustle in the sweet town of Puerto Juárez. Yes this resort can use some updates For example, the beach loungers on one side of the beach are horrible. The food also lacks creativity but there are so many great local restaurants in the area worth visiting. Kulkulcan to name one (fyi the only take cash). Also there is a local that sells tacos de canasta most days and is right across the street from the hotel. Take a 10 minute walk to Playa del Nino where on weekends you will find lots of authentic food stands. Oh and do yourself a favor and get to Isla Mujeres! It’s magical. My thanks to Adrian from the spa. He gave me a most delicious massage and facial. So thorough and meticulous that I practically melted off the table. I highly recommend it and you cannot beat the price. $70 USD. But this review is dedicated to the tireless workers of this hotel that work endlessly to ensure you have a good experience. Under the blazing sun they are always ready with a smile and a greeting. . I spent a lot of time on the beautiful beach and watched them rake up the seaweed from early in the morning to 3 pm daily. Back and forth with their rakes and their wheelbarrows with such dedication and care so I can have fun. Thank you for everything you do and I certainly hope management acknowledge their hard work. Now you decide. A flashy and commercial hotel or an authentic experience with street tacos across the street. Enjoy either way!

This place is very old. Everything is clean though, very clean. It's my speculation that Lifestyle Vacations sold this property due to its age, as they are no longer directly under Lifestyle anymore. The service is great, everyone here is so friendly. But in my opinion, this place is best suited for locals and fluent Spanish speakers, as most of the guests you'll find here are. I do think the website over-sells this place a little because it's not as nice as when it was brand new, since it's an older property. Our family decided to leave on our second day and stay somewhere else, but I do think this place could be enjoyed if you like small, rustic, almost mom and pop style resort life. The location is right on the water, and the beaches look beautiful.

American airlines put about 1/4 of our flight at this hotel. Half of us left and went to stay at another place on our own dime bc this place is not it. The pics online are deceiving to say the least. Nothing about this place screams vacation. It's old and run down. The food. ...omg its almost not edible the ways it looks nasty and old. The rooms have an actual metal door key, it's giving very much 1990 resort style. It was a huge shock from staying at a 4star resort all week then getting put up here. We couldn't stay there, had to leave after 1 hour of checking in. Wow. Just wow. Please don't. Idk how this place has this many good reviews on here (side eye) maybe the locals with lower expectations and standard of living like this place but not a middle class US American.

I don't usually write reviews, but I did for this resort. Going to this resort would be a huge waste of time and money. Don't be deceived by the waterpark into thinking this is a wonderful resort; it isn't. The majority of the staff is unfriendly. The food selection is poor, with only a minimal display of fruits and desserts available. This resort attracts a large number of residents. The pool bar is beautiful, but that's all there is to it. Mr. Alejandro was the sole member of staff that stood out throughout our visit. Every time we went to eat or have tea, he was the sole individual who took care of our requirements. The yoga trainer and the two girls are nice. The night entertainment sucked. Remember food is very important and they had the worse option a very limited display

I originally would have rated this resort as good, but lowered due to contracting COVID and how they handled it. we went in having low expectations due to the reviews, with hopes for the best. There are pros and cons, if you want a place that is modern, fancy and great food, this is not the place for you. The resort itself is old but I found it to be cute, kind of “rustic” and authentic. It appeared to be clean. Food was hit or miss, I’m not picky at all but there was food that I just could not even swallow.. with that said, my son is super picky and there was always something he liked. Staff was very friendly. My kids loved the evening shows and some of the activities put on by the kids club, we also enjoyed the pool, beach and activity room with a pool table, air hockey, etc. The rooms had well working AC, cleaners did a good job, pipe under sink was leaking the entire time even after telling the front desk, water for shower would go from perfect to cold to extremely hot within a few seconds.. This place lost some of my respect after we left… coming back into Canada, my son was chosen for a random PCR test which came back positive (on Jan 7 2022), I politely informed the resort so they could inform the other guests and staff, they immediately got defensive, claiming that they are not liable for us getting covid (which is not what I was trying to say). I replied saying that I was not blaming them, just informing .. they responded saying they know, and they are currently 3/4 staff due to quarantine… well, why weren’t the guests notified that their staff have come down with covid !

The only thing I liked about this hotel is privacy at the beach, you can find calm spot and enjoy the sea solo, without random people passing threw it, cause it’s accessible only to hotel guests. The rest, sad to say it’s bad. It’s a cheap hotel, so don’t expect high class service, rooms, guests are only locals Mexicans from what I saw. Place itself didn’t look hygienic, buffet and so on same.. I booked it for two nights, threw booking app, didn’t expect to see this, so when I arrived I asked to cancel my reservation, they disagreed, and said I have to stay at least one night .. so this is the experience.

Make sure to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking your resort. This website will compare countless booking websites and usually will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of my favorites in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you won't be let down. Beautiful ocean to enjoy. The staff are always available. Food and beverage all day. Fun and games throughout the day. Adventures with the excursions. All at your fingertips 😃

Hotel is old and far away from everything. Water park is ok but closes early 5pm and closes on Tuesday after there's no activity for the kids. Pool is closes 8pm. Food is repetitive and only one restaurant buffet style they said they had three restaurant the other was closed no seafood. Snack shops are ok but only hamburger fries nachos hotdogs bland. Employees have friendly and helpful. Would not go again.

This was an amazing hotel. I absolutely cannot understand the reviewers who didn't like the food. The food was incredible, all-you-can-eat buffet with wide selection. It was great tasting and great for our tender Canadian tummies, no one got sick. There is family-friendly entertainment every day at the pool and I think every night. This is within walking distance of the Isla Mujeres ferry. The water park is one of the best I have ever seen. Our kids had mega fun. Because this is a place with a water park, a lot of the guests are families with kids, but not all. If you are single, living the high life, and money is no object for you, you might as well book one of the hotels in the Hotel Zone. If you are a family with kids or just want to relax at the beautiful, white sand beach, then this is the place to be.

  • 5/5 Tyler C. 11 months ago on Google
The food and drinks were good. They upgraded our room to an ocean view for only $30 total for both nights. At first the kayaks and Waterpark were not going to be opened, but they opened it for us. Definitely will be going back. The location is very far from the hotel and everything else but uber does work to the airport but not from the airport. Taxis are super expensive so plan a car service before getting to the airport a day before.

Food is okay, no really Mexican food. To eat good food you have to go somewhere else. Pool is small, but they have good shows. WHY I’m leaving a review, because I have 3 YEARS OLD daughter and we went there 15 minutes before the breakfast was close. For the 7 days we stay here we were not charged for any buffet because she is 3, (you are not supposed to pay if you are 5 and under) but today they wanted to charge for her buffet. I TOLD ARTURO to call the MANAGER and he said the MANAGER WAS NOT THERE that he was going to be there latter. I went outside and of course I ask someone else because I knew he was lying. The guy at the door told me MARTIN was inside and he pointed at him. We went to Martin, told him the situation that she is 3 she never pay before, and ARTURO wanted to CHARGE US FOR HER. and he ask again (playing stupid) oh! And she never pay before? I’m going to investigate it, because she is supposed to pay. And we got frustrated because breakfast was already closing and left. He wanted to charge us extra even though we were going to be able to eat for only 5 minutes. If I would come back to this hotel I wouldn’t, if you are staying with 5 people but you don’t want to eat for any reason, you are feeling sick or simply you are not hungry. It does not matter 5 of you have to pay for the buffet because you are staying together (they don’t care if you are staying in your room or not around, you have to pay) I don’t understand this policy, but it guess every place have one. Oh! By the way! Drinks are awful!!

Rooms and the whole resort need a little TLC, it would be amazing to have washer and dryer in the rooms. Food needs to be better, they need more authentic Mexican food, they try to do American and Italian but I'm sorry it's not the best. I loved the activities they had in the pool area. I also loved the Michael Jackson dinner and show.

Americans RUN LIKE H@@@LLLLLLL!!!!!! They have OUTRAGEOUS hidden fees!! They tried to charge us in USD $2714.00 in Resort FEES. The lobby is nice. The drinks are weak. The all inclusive part is 3 meals a day and a snack in the same restaurant. No real options. The drinks were weak. We just stuck with tequila and champagne. Go downtown or hotel district! DON"T do it. Nothing is around them.

We just spent 4 days in this resort. It probably was top of the line 20 years ago, however, it it not the case anymore and it clearly shows. The food is not good, not even in the "nicer restaurants" for which you need to make a reservation. Very very disappointing. The drinks are watered down too. Not all, but most. The room was very spacious I can't complain about that. The pool was also nice and the beach was fine too. It had a lot of seaweed, but you can still have fun. The pictures I have added were from one of our room towels (yes, a resort towel with holes and very very wornd out) and my coffee mug from the cafeteria. Bear in mind you order your coffee with the waitresses, and that's the mug I got. The nicest thing about this hotel is the staff, they are very polite, friendly and acommodating. However, I'm not sleeping at the reception, neither am having breakfast there.

This place was pretty good. We stayed in the Air B&B across the street, was able to use their amenities. There’s actually a passage under the road so you don’t have to cross the street! On our side there was a water park for the kids. On the beach side a small game room with ping pong and pool tables. The food is good as well as the dessert but I wish they had ice cream! The beach is small and has a lot of seaweed. I mean there isn’t much they can do about that but they are cleaning it all day. Small gift shop, nice pool bar, everyone is nice. Good drinks! Tip your servers! Enjoy!

My overall stay was great! The beach is cleaned daily and we always had enough chairs and shade. The ocean water is warm and we can snorkel to see animals like little turtles and sting rays. The water park was nice and the kids had a blast. Staff is friendly and if you tip them enough then will do miracles for you. My best feature: the ocean view rooms are amazing in the sense that you can almost fish from your balcony. It is that close from the ocean. I stayed I several other resorts with Ocean view but this was by far the closest. I could even stay in my bed and listen to the waves and see the ships sailing very peacefully. Improvement needed: please STOP 🛑 with that business of showing off wild animals around, so people can take pictures with them. The monkey and birds were clearly distressed with the loud music and all the people. That is not a nice thing to do. I will recommend All ritmo Resort if they stop abusing wildlife for profit!

This place is really amazing. It has a lot of exclusive things. Not only does it have a beach, (it's a public one, but it's separated from the public)that only hotel members have access to that separated part of the beach. It has a waterpark but you have to pay for it but it's worth it, including a soccer field and a basketball court, it has a pool that they do activities in, with a really good bar. They have good restaurants.

All Ritmo Wow wow wow what an excellent place to stay for a family, if you are looking for a traditional Mexican resort who are caring, diligent and had great views this is that place. We stayed for 5 nights. The staff clean away the sea weed nearly everyday so that it makes it as comfortable as possible for the visitors. Even tho it’s the sea….. I travelled with my wife and three kids and they loved it. I loved the fact that there weren’t pushy about getting tips altho we did cause the staff were just so so good. So friendly and kind. The all inclusive is truly all inclusive there were no faces made just get up and get some more as much as you like actually. It was our first time to Mexico and we all loved it, it gave us the perfect flavour of Mexico and it’s people. Although the building is a little dated I found that the best as it really displayed Mexican architecture which I found fascinating. They were always helpful at the desk especially Martin and Arturo even recommended a mercado 28 a lovely bazaar to pick up souvenirs. The evening acrobatic show especially the lion was amazing the kids loved it, there were plenty of things to do and although the water park was smaller than what it looks in the picture it was prefect as my kids are all of different ages 16,10,4 and I felt safe letting them just enjoy it as they were never out of sight. We enjoyed the food as it was typically Mexican and there was so much variety we wished they catered for Muslims however there was plenty of fish on offer which tasted phenomenal which we could eat. We never felt that food was short or not enough to choose from. The staff were always helpful in every way possible and whenever we needed anything they would be with us asap. If people are looking for a Western five star resort this is not the place however if you want traditional, cultural and want appreciate Mexico this is definitely the place I would highly recommend, for families especially. Thank you Martin,Arturo,Diego and of course Luis Enrique & Raul part of the excursions team you are out stay wonderful.

DO NOT stay here. Very out of date rooms. The food is horrible. They have only one restaurant and buffet style meals that included in the all inclusive .The beds are very hard and do not come with a comforter. They only provide sheets. The hotel is far away from the hotel zone in Cancun. You will need to rent a vehicle to travel to the entertainment in Cancun. There is No entertainment around the hotel. A few run down bars . The hotel is very close to the local housing developments!

Facility seem to be a little rundown, though the beach is gorgeous. The food seriously lacks in every aspect, and being all inclusive, we have only limited access to the VIP beach. The staff does go out of their way to try to make things better, but they just seem to have limited resources.

So Jet blue provided me with this resort after my flights were canceled. So alresdy I was annoyed but the staff here was super nice especially Arturo front desk! No staying at the hotel overall I would say that it was OK not bad it was away from the tourist location which in my experience it’s a good way to see experience localism. The food at the resort was pretty good the staff was again super friendly and nice. About the resort itself I thought that it needed some work in terms of needing more elevators rolling up my bag was kind of an issue because the stuff really wasn’t quite helping but also going to our rooms the door had a weird latch and it felt unsafe. Not exactly sure what was going on in the morning but we heard some loud chanting going on around 7 AM and we were kind of freaking out but so were the other family we were in contact with. The view was super nice, but I don’t think if I had a choice I’d stay here again.. not bad but not great.

Had to have an emergency stay here, so we only stayed the night. The hotel is lovely and clean but a little dated. The staff are incredibly helpful at reception and nothing is too much for them. The rooms are spotlessly clean but basic. The main pool are is great, pool is clean and good views however the waterslide are us quite dirty and the water is not clean. Food was ok, 3* and the servicing staff were slow but smiley.

An older property that is well maintained and clean. The food was decent and plentiful. The location is not in the hotel zone and you get a more local feel which is what we were looking for. Close enough to everything and the ocean view room had a view that was priceless. Your literally steps away from the water. My only gripe is a small one but you need larger fitted sheets for the king mattress. Waking up on a bare mattress is not what you want at any hotel. If I travel back to cancun this will be where I stay.

If you are looking to go on a fast or are battling with anorexia and are perfectly fine with it this is the place for you. The food is absolutely horrendous: Cold, poor selection, and the restaurants are the same as the buffet. The mid day option (by the pool) is the best food offered at the resort and then is recycled to the buffet. The drinks are limited but fine. They do not supply alcoholic drinks in your room...like every other resort in Cancun. The water park was fine. The basketball goal was broken. The tennis court is garbage. The pool was fine but not big. My kids had a fine time at it. The game room is old and in a state of disrepair but my kids liked it. The beach was nice. All in all I was fine with the place especially for kids and it's only a half hour from the airport. Seriously though I cannot stress enough the food is absolutely horrendous...it is the only reason I would not recommend anyone stay here.
