Whilst the butterfly part of this park is cool, beautiful and educational the rest of the “sanctuary “ is very disturbing and raises a concern for animal cruelty which made this an uncomfortable experience. I can understand why this is a great spot for families as there is a water park and a large restaurant but there is nowhere that explains that they also have other tiny animals in tiny boxes and cages without space or areas for them to hide. There are also chickens in cages small Enough for them to take two steps, boxes of insects that all Look dead with nowhere for them to hide/ drink water. Hamsters that looked dead and dehydrated and literally nothing but sand with the sun hitting the box as well as other small Mammals. 2 baby sugar gliders in a cage where they cannot fly and also a cage with a big red lizard with 4 turtles that had no place to be there there and dirty shallow water that they could barely cover their feet This place is Not a sanctuary and I wish I had known this before paying the steep 100,000 IDR( $10AUD ) to enter. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who visits Bali. In fact, I will Tell people to absolutely NOT visit and support this place

The butterfly park and the gardens are very nice and peaceful. We really enjoyed being in this magical place. The zoo part is not so animal friendly. The animals have very little space and are completely caged up. Please take better care of these animals or remove this part of your business. (The butterfly park is awesome on itself!) The restaurant in the back is great for having a fruit juice and enjoying the view.

Really nice park with more butterflies than you can shake a stick at. As you go in, there are some well presented gardens to walk around with a large display of bonsai trees. The butterfly inclosure itself is large with many species of butterfly, it also contains a cocoon section where you can see butterflies hatching. Well worth a visit. The negative, hence the 4 stars - they have added a small zoo section with the gardens, and the inclosures are far too small for some of the animals, some spend all day circling their cage looking to escape, it is just not needed and unnecessary as people go to see butterflies.

Brilliant butterfly park, you can walk through the small yes well organized butterfly enclosure. The park is well organized with parking, clean toilets, a tiny water park (pool and a few slides) for smaller children. There is also a good restaurant on site serving some good local Indonesia cuisine. Recommended…!

Nice place to see some small animals and bonsai. The main attraction are butterflies. You can see lots of them flying around and their hatching area with lots of cocoons. There was a very friendly employee in the hatching area. He told us lots of interesting facts and information about butterflies. He showed us cocoons and gave one to us to touch and feel it - the one with a hard colorful shell that resembles glass. So in addition to only looking at butterflies we learned a lot.

This is a beautiful park that is perfect for families with kids. Lots of pretty flowers and the butterfly garden is magical. The staff are also super friendly and can help your kids learn about butterflies. There’s also a gigantic water park to cool off after a nice walk.

I've been there a few times, it never gets old. So many varieties of butterflies flying around, its fabulous. They now have a mini zoo & bonsai garden too. Waterfall & glass bridge nearby too, so worthwhile visit.

An absolutely gorgeous place to visit. A little pricey for Bali standards at 100k ($10aud) per adult, but worth it. There are hundreds of BIG butterflies, all different varieties and just a wonder to be around. The gardens are well maintained and well thought out. The educator in the cocoon room was great at letting us handle the atlas months and giving us a short talk about them and spoke perfect English too. It was a little odd that a chicken and rooster were kept in tiny cages, that is a bit unnecessary for the park and many western tourists don't like to see animals in small cages. It would be best to remove that part.. Aside from this, I highly recommend a visit.

The butterfly garden is a family recreation area in the Gianyar area, cool and comfortable, there is a swimming pool and restaurant in the garden area.

This might be the coolest butterfly garden I have ever seen. The entrance fee is totally reasonable, and there are sooooo many butterflies. I could have spent a lot longer there just enjoying them. The cocoon area is super cool, and the workers are eager to share their knowledge. Took so many cool photos. This would be ideal for kids of all ages

Going to the Butterfly Garden was like entering a magic world. It's a very calm and beautiful place with lots of butterflies flying around, among green plants and colorful flowers. It's a nice break from the noisy city life, and you can learn a lot about different kinds of butterflies. As soon as you enter, you see butterflies fluttering around, and sometimes they even land on you. I got to hold a very big butterfly in my hand. The garden is well taken care of, making sure the butterflies are happy. There was also a bonsai garden nearby. It was very beautiful.

Pretty little butterfly park with lots of butterflies. Don't expect them to flutter their way to your hands, the stay to the plants minding their own business, doing butterfly things. There is the indoor "cocoon" place where staff will place a large butterfly on your hand and talk about butterfly stuff. Overall a pleasant half-hour, nicely paired with nearby tegenungan falls.

First time I have been here and I loved it 🥰 🪴🦋 We spent approximately 3-4 hours walking around the garden section and butterfly enclosure. The presentation of the gardens and butterfly enclosure are 5 star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I took around 150 photos 💕 As a keen gardener I loved all the grounds, well presented. We also appreciated the education regarding butterflies and moths by the men in the cocoon hut, well done guys 👍🏻 Just when we thought it came to an end we saw the cafe and gift shop. Staff from the entrance, the gardens, cocoon hut, cafe and gift shop were all welcoming, helpful and a pleasure to talk with. I have already recommended this place to friends and will continue to do so. I will go out of my way to come back next time I am in Bali. Thank you for this wonderful experience 🙏🏻💕

Gorgeous park with all kinds of butterflies and insects. Great afternoon trip. Expensive but nice because the money is clearly used for good upkeep and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We missed the pool as it seems to be a bit of a kids water park.

The butterflies were nice. You do have to walk past otters and birds in cages to get to them (I'm not an animal in cages sorry if person, but that's just personal preference). We were there for about 30mins

Great butterfly enclosure with fine mist sprays which were cooling on a very hot day. Added attraction of birds and small animals including otters, cages a little small for some so be prepared. Toilets clean and overall a good value attraction.

Came quite early (10am) during the weekend. It was less crowded. The place is not too big but good to enjoy for 30-40 minutes as you can see these beautiful creatures. The variety of butterfly isn’t too much. There is a room where you can see the moth as well. It is located not too far from Tegenuangan Waterfall. So you can visit this place first before heading to the waterfall.

A small park to visit in Bali, the entrance fee was 10 AUD, a reasonable price to be able to keep the animals and the garden, everything was very well maintained inside, the butterfly park was incredible and beautiful. It was a little sad to see some of the animals like the otters and birds in cages but at least it seemed like they were well cared for.

An interesting and educational tourist spot for children. There are not only butterflies but there are also several other animals. The flower garden is also very beautiful surrounded by butterflies. You can also buy package tickets that include entry to the water park.

Nice little park, not many butterflies when we went or they were sleeping. Place is very clean and well kept. Have a restaurant, small water play area(need additional ticket) and a souvenir shop. Great place to let the kids run around and tire them selves out. Not crow when we went, was mid week during holiday season. Staff is wonderful and helpful.

Very well maintained park with beautiful flowers and butterflies. It's not a very long walk and you'll spend easily an hour here just absorbing the atmosphere and taking very nice photos. The souvenir shop had a decent collection of beautifully preserved butterflies and insects. There's other souvenir items too. Price is pretty expensive though.. Overall, I'd visit here again.

For the price of 100k rp per adult I really enjoyed my experience at kemenuh butterfly park! The staff in the cocoon rooms are very friendly and shared many interesting facts about the butterflies and also let us hold the butterflies. Great unique experience! Edit: Realized that they have changed the mini zoo part of the park. Seems to have downsized the amount of animals to space ratio which is good. Definitely still kept in small cages (but their bird aviary had free roaming birds) but they seem to be well taken care of otherwise. Hopefully the animals get to roam about from time to time after hours.

My husband and I did this stop on our way back from the waterfall, as it sounded interesting. The staff were very friendly and helpful. First you walk through a garden with nice flowers. Then you enter the butterfly area and this is the main event. There are lots of nice big butterflies with different colours. Our favourite was hearing from the guide in the cocoon area, how they support the butterfly life cycle and how it all works. The stick and leaf insects also very cool. Overall a wholesome little venture that we really enjoyed and would highly recommend.

👍👍 Definitely recommend visiting this waterfall. To get there you must pin this location (parking area) rather than the waterfall itself. We did the wrong move and it took us another 17 min to get there. They charge you more Parkir than usual but it’s worthwhile.
