I had high expectations from this place. It was overall good but left much to be desired. For the price though it's a good find. It did not feel like a hostel at all. It was a hotel with dorm rooms as well. Very few opportunities to actually socialise. The beds were comfy and had plenty of space to keep your stuff but overall the room size was not that big. The bathrooms were average. When you walk up the stairs it opens up into the washroom foyer so everyone brushing or cleaning up very much in the open..not a deal breaker but not the most fun lol. Also my room was at the end of the floor and everyone had their pool clothes or towels drying outside the room so it was stuffy and stinky. I did not like the walk to my room. The breakfast was decent, not that great for vegetarians, and the cafe got packed so quickly. The location was great. Unfortunately for me, my dorm mate was a huge snorer. Like from 11 pm to 9 am continuously loud thunderous snoring. For 3 nights in a row. Not even noise plugs helped, I had to plug my earphones and fall asleep to music. But that's not the hostel's fault so I won't blame them.

Really loved my 5 night stay at this hostel! The rooms themselves were perfect and great for the price (the beds comfortable, towels soft, air con strong) and both the ground floor pool and also top floor rooftop are the perfect places to chill all day at ☺️ It’s a really new hostel so they are still making little touches here and there (for example they replaced the normal blinds with blackout blinds during my stay) but I’m sure over the next few months it will be an even better place to stay! The showers spray the water at an awkward angle but the pressure and temperature were perfect so can’t complain too much!

Good value for what it is, nice pool area (including swim-up bar) with a rooftop jacuzzi. However the bathrooms left more to be desired… I’m not a fan of unisex/mixed gender bathrooms and on the third floor only one of the shower rooms was actually functional (three were locked up/not in use and one had a broken lock so the door couldn’t close). Rooms are fairly clean but there should be more hooks on the wall to hang clothes/towels. Also the check-in time is strictly 3pm which made things slightly inconvenient - I arrived at 2pm and still wasn’t able to check in so I had to kill time for another hour. This is strange considering checkout time is 12pm, surely it doesn’t take three hours to clean up one bed?

RooMates Canggu by iNi Vie Hospitality is an absolute gem! From the modern decor to the impeccable service, this hotel truly exceeded my expectations. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, with all the amenities one could ask for. The location in Canggu is ideal, with easy access to great restaurants and shops, as well as the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay in Bali.

The best hostel that I stayed at during my 10 days of traveling in Bali. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff are all very friendly/kind. The hostel is located a few minutes walk from Canggu beach and other main attractions and restaurants. Because it is down an alley, the hostel is quiet despite the loud clubs and bars. You'll need to pay a deposit of 300,000 IDR for the room key and towel, but this will be returned to you after you check out. A new towel will be given to you every day! You can purchase a stay with or without breakfast. They also offer social activities (movie night, games, drink promotions, etc.) throughout the week so you can meet other solo travelers. If you arrive early or check out late, they will safely store your luggage in another room. The only downside is that the WIFI was very slow. Other than that, it was a great stay!

I really love this place. The Staff is so friendly and helpful. If you have any questions you can always ask them and they try to help you with everything. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. It's perfect to have a chilled day at the pool. The location is perfect, it's pretty centered. So perfect if you wanna have a night out or just wanna go to the beach.

very good hotel! we live here for a month in a double room. the room is very cozy, comfortable mattress, large TV, good soundproofing! amazing staff, they respond to every request very quickly! I want to say thank you for the cleanliness!

I loved staying at roomates! been there twice for more than 10 nights in total & the second time it was like coming home. The girls in the front putri and daya were the sweetest!!! Food tastes amazing & everybody is so friendly and nice! Rooms are clean, you get a fresh towel everyday, pool is very nice, the jacuzzi on the roof too. Also met a lot of nice people there. Best hostel in Canggu!

Wow! This was by far the best place we stayed in Bali. The rooms are immaculate and the food is incredible. The staff are so nice and go above and beyond. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach. We cannot wait to come back.

It's a new hostel with nice beds, curtains and lockable safes. Staff was very friendly and hardworking. My issue was with the loud beeping sound the door would make everytime my roommates opened the door with their key card. You need to get a technician in there to get rid of those ridiculous beeping sounds the bedroom (dorms) make. The cafe is overpriced and the food not good at all with service charge and tax added onto all items. I didn't know we were in the United States where tax is additional and prices in Indonesia are supposed to include tax. 🤔 A cappuccino ends up costing practically three euro in the hostel cafe after tax and service charge which is a bit excessive. That's like European (Spain/Portugal) prices or even more expensive which is pretty crazy!!!

Stayed here a for a week together with my friend. We felt very welcomed here and kept on extending our nights from a few days to a week. Wanted to give a shoutout to Dayu the receptionist, she has taken good care of us and was one of the most genuine people we met in Bali. Will definetely come back again!

Great location, good rooms, nice pool area and friendly staff. The cafe / restaurant isn't very good, the bathrooms all smell like sewerage drains and the Wifi is absolutely terrible. In fact you can't stay here if you need to work digitally or want to do video calls. Lastly the showers spray at a terrible angle, which goes across the top of most people.

one of the comfortable places to stay and a place to interact with many people like family. There are private bunk beds and there are double bed room types which are very comfortable. Tropical atmosphere in the center of Canggu. the restaurant can be a comfortable place to work. the food is also very delicious. It is the best experience staying here.

Superb hostel! The bed was great they provide quite spacious desk on your bed to put things. the place is excellent with jacuzzi, swimming pool, so many option places to relax, in the pool area, in the rooftop near jacuzzi area. Restaurant area. Loove this place. Shower room and toilet was clean, but need bit attention with the cleanliness in the shower area. Keep up the goodwork guys

Well really fantastic stay brand new for inivie this is i had try best for traveller,no need spent a lot,nearby busy place and of course recommend if you guys want to enjoy chill this hostel had bar,will come next time with my friends

First time trying hostel. It’s great experience. But you can concern the dust of the window side of the bed. But it’s really worth it to comeback again. Please keep maintain the hostel. RECOMMEND!!! For couple groups

We stayed 2 nights in a private double room at Roomates. We loved the interior design but also the outdoor area with the swimming pool! The location on Batu Bolong road is perfect. There are many restaurants close around but it's also quiet as it's in a side street. You walk only 10 minutes to the beach which is awesome. We can definitely recommend this hostel and would love to return one day.

The hostel is super nice, partly even nicer than certain hotels I've been to. There are cool promotions every day and it's always clean. The pools are great and there is enough space for everyone. The breakfast tastes quite good, but I often forgot something, such as the fruit or eggs. The restaurant in the hostel was way too expensive. You prefer to eat outside, especially as a solo traveler. All in all, I can recommend the hostel with a clear conscience

A good hostel in the centre of Canggu. I stayed in a female room (4 to a dorm) and it felt really comfortable and safe with also having the electric door key. The staff were friendly and helped us out when we were looking where to go on a night out. I also really loved the pool and the roof top jacuzzi!

I never leave bad reviews but this was the most unorganised hostel ever! Firstly when I checked in, I got taken to my bed which wasn’t even changed from the previous guest, so I had to wait back downstairs while they made it. I also got laundry done here and it cost me 181k for 3kg (150K plus a service charge) - I normally pay half of that for the same weight and no service charge. I originally booked 4 nights and informed the man when I checked in I only needed 3 nights to which he said was fine so I only paid for the 3. Then when I checked out, I was made pay for the 4th night by another member of staff, even though I was told by someone else it was fine. Very unorganised and seem like they don’t know what they’re doing.
